Did you guys see that? Whoscored changed their preview's line-ups! Campbell replaced Flamini. Never seen that happen, WS have always stuck with their predictions.
I see Cazorla is currently in WhoScored's European XI, confirming what Wenger said, he needs to continue playing in the middle, as he is one of the best CMs in Europe. It's still a puzzle who plays down the right.
I'm predicting a 2-1 Swansea win with Ayew as Motm. Will be a very tough match with not much in it. Swansea are a bit of a bogey team and play some great football.
It's a shame that Arsenal has so many injured players. But they are not the only team. I'm curious to see if they can continue there fantastic streak in PL. They face two difficult away games in a row (Bayern away CL). Looking at form they should win this game against a pporly in-form Swansea. But due to the injuiers they don't have a lot of options. I expect Swansea to go all out but lose in the end --> 1-2.
Coquelin/Cazorla partnership will not be broken. Arsene confirmed that the deep position of Santi is vital for Arsenal's performance and he wouldn't risk to move him higher in midfield. The options are Campbell/Iwobi as a RW or Gibbs on the left flank and Alexis on the opposite.
You write there will be choice between Gibbs and Flamini and use Cazorla higher up buy you put both Flamini and Gibbs instead of Cazorla in probable lineup. You have to decide which option is more likely to be used.
Chamberlain out again. Built like Tarzan, plays like Jane. We now don't have an obvious candidate to play on the RW with Wenger playing Alexis on the left. Joel Campbell could play there but that creates a bigger imbalance than when Ramsey was on RW. It's an easy XI to pick other than that decision. I'll predict a 2-1 win with Oezil MotM.
@SteveHyland It will be either Joel Campbell or Alex Iwobi as Wenger said. Unless he picks Flamini or Gibbs. I would prefer Joel Campbell and then bring on Alex Iwobi at 70 mins depending on score and form.
@Overmars- Wenger mentioned in the (league cup) post-match interview- "They are not ready to play at this level. None of them" regarding the youth players. I can't see how he'd think Iwobi wasn't good enough to play Sheffield Wednesday but is good enough to play Swansea. I'm not a Campbell fan but he looks the best of a bad bunch. He does his defensive work at least. We need a proper RW/RF imo. It seems Chamberlain is a chronic injury problem.
Swansea will feel confident after coming back from 1-0 down at Villa Park making it 2-1. But with Arsenals current form i cant see them throwing this one away. Although they did get slumped by Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesdays League Cup Match 3-0. They won't let this affect their Premier league title pursuit and should be a reasonably easy game for them. 3-1 Arsenal. 1-1 at half time and finishing them off with 2 more late-ish goals.
It's going to be a very tought game! We lost a lot of points against Swansea in the resent years. I hope we win this tie for two reasons:
- keeping the no-point gap between us and city;
- Manager of the Month award goes to Arsene Wenger!
COYG!!!
Bellerin's rating should be higher. ... that guy practically saved a goal after cech was dribbled by Gomis
Last man tackle by Bellerin... actually two but 2nd was from offside situation anyway... still.
Ozil had the assist for the Campbell goal as well
ozil just one assist? bellerin rating just 6.9? come on
Why hasn't ozil got the assist for the third goal?
Arsenal to win 3-1 versus the Swans. Sorry to the lovely Swans
1-1 first half time > 1-2 second half time possible X-2 (1-2score) GL
0-3
@masterninho wow

1 - 3 Arsenal Win.
Campbell will play on the right and we should expect at least 3:1 score!

@What4 we have three important fixtures ahead of us: swansea, bayern, spurs. Changing the spine is too risky.
We have too many midfielders missing. A draw would not be a bad result, especially away from home and against one of our bogey teams.

Swansea still not hitting the heights of the start of the season. 1-3
1-1 should be the fair result for this game.

@marcinqt Already corrected. Thank you.
@marcinqt but* not "buy"
