Team News
Man Utd
WBA
- Louis van Gaal should be able to welcome back Phil Jones (fatigue) and Morgan Schneiderlin (illness) to his plans for the starting XI.
- Matteo Darmian is suspended after picking up his fifth booking of the season against Crystal Palace last time out, so Ashley Young should keep his spot at right-back.
- Jesse Lingaard should be rewarded with another chance from the start after supplying the pass that led to United's winner against CSKA Moscow in midweek.
- Wayne Rooney's goal in that fixture will mean he lives to fight another day in the starting XI.
- Ben Foster will not return to face his old club, although he is edging closer to a return to first team football. Tony Pulis' only other injury concern will be Chris Brunt, who is a doubt having been forced off late on in their 3-2 defeat to Leicester at the weekend.
- Jonny Evans will feature against his former club for the first time since leaving over the summer. Darren Fletcher is also a former Manchester United player.
- Teams that have sat deep and soaked up all of United's possession-based football have got particular joy, so Pulis could revert to a 4-4-2 system here.
Hehehehehe....van gaal's philosophy is taking us places. Am impressed with the win atleast
Wtf was that from Berahino?
So buy Di Maria and bench him, then buy Depay and bench him...i guess, van Gaal's philosophy
@sam09 Retarded comparison. Getting a 21-year-old Memphis up to speed in a new team and league was always going to be a bumpy road. How about taking the positives ie. a MU academy graduate getting his first senior goal for the club.
fall asleep Zzz...
so one sided and rooney is just as good on long balls as schweiny
i say 1-0 or 2-0
another goalless draw
Seri tu ini malam.. kamu tengok lah...
United win
UNITED 1:0 !!!
3 - 0 Manchester United Win
Guaranteed most boring game in the prem this week. 0-0, the ref MotM for blowing the final whistle.
1-1
At present MU can't score in a cheap brothel, however as I support them I'm going 2-0 Man United.
I agree, West Brom will defend in numbers and i can see Utd snatching it late. 1-0.
Manchester United: Finishing scoring chances: strong really ?
@aymane.spur Yeah we have been efficient but creating scoring chances: very weak.
I've anyways had a soft spot for Pulis, but ever since he signed that horrible shite McClean I really hope that they get relegated. It's hard to support a team that has a player that doesnt try to hide his distain for the people that pay his wages, namely the British public. If it's too hard for him to face the British flag or wear a poppy, maybe he should also turn his back on the pound sterling, maybe he can earn more in his home country..... I'd certainly respect him more for putting his money where his mouth is.
@SlippinJimmy- I don't see why teams wear the poppy at all tbph. In a supposedly democratic nation such as the UK, you shouldn't be forced to emblazon your shirt with anything political if you don't agree with it. McClean has acted moronically for sure, but the problem is caused by the fact wearing the poppy is all but mandatory. Those who choose not to wear it is given flack regardless of whether their reasons are legitimate or not and whether their reasons are actually related to WWI and WWII- which McClean's (and all catholic northern Irishmen) aren't.
@SteveHyland The poppy is not just to commemorate the British soldiers that died in WWI and WWII. It's all British conflicts, including the one in Northern Ireland, which McClean would have been on the other side of (politically, not just religiously). Which gives him very good reason not to wear it. It's the British press and some uninformed members of the British public (i.e.SlippinJimmy) that make such a big deal out of it. If he doesn't want to wear the poppy, he shouldn't be forced to wear it.
