Team News
Leicester
Man Utd
- Claudio Ranieri is unlikely to tinker with his starting XI too much, but he may be tempted to revert to a 4-4-1-1 formation to have an extra body in midfield.
- Jamie Vardy is currently level with Ruud van Nistelrooy having scored in each of his last 10 league games and will be looking to break his Premier League record against Manchester United on Saturday evening.
- Former United player Matt James is their only injury absentee for this fixture.
- Marcos Rojo looked extremely tired towards the end of their 0-0 draw with PSV in midweek and may not be fit enough to start here, which could see Ashley Young revert to left back and Matteo Darmian retaining his spot on the right hand side of the defence.
- Phil Jones, Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera are all still out for the trip to table toppers Leicester.
- Jesse Lingard will have a late fitness test after feeling a tight hamstring after the draw against PSV, which could mean Memphis keeps his place in the starting XI despite struggling against his former club on Wednesday.
happy with vardys goal , happy with the point , i should change my name to happyfox !!
@Foxeyrod I guess you already know that Fuchs in German means Fox... ;)
@BeautifulLoser yes it was mentioned when we signed him. hes a very good player , already well liked by us fellow fuchss
Props to Vardy and that insane pass for Fuchs!! This is why I love EPL and I really hope they can carry this energy over to next year and get one of the CPL spots!
what a pass by fuchs though incisive and surgically precise!!!
one (season) hit wonder
@DOGHONEY So they said about Ian Wright. Do you know the end of that story?
Vardy + Kane for England. Would love to see that!
@morningstar I don't, too one dimensional. Old school forwards.
Not sure how Blind and Rooney avoided yellows for an obstruction and dive, respectively. Rooney has gotten away with loads of dives in his career so I shouldn't be surprised. That pass from Fuchs was Iniesta-like and Vardy's finish was decent too. Shame Leicester conceded on HT but I fancy em to score again. Just need to defend more resolutely.
Delighted for Vardy. Incredible achievement.
chat shit get banged. Congrats Vardy, well done lad
@pyrohne he'll have to be bleaching his photogenic anus in no time!!
i am scared of vardy
Rooney should feign a long-term injury and quietly fade from view if he wants to retain any dignity at all.
Who wouldve thought that the 1st vs 2nd battle would be Leicester vs United at the end of novembre. I see either a 1-1 or the cheeky 1-2 in the 9th minute for United.
Really don't care how the game ends. Just want to see Vardy scoring :)
2-2
Manchester snore united vs a team of men who actually earn their money *cough rooney cough*
1-0 Utd but hopefully Leicester score early to force Utd into a more open style.
this game will sho if leister got what it takes to be champions mahrez will score
It's time for Van Gaal to solve goal drought problem & to reach that aim he should start playing more offensive and play 4-3-3.
No idea, I'll go 0-0 here
1-2 United. Leicester won't be used to playing a team that dominates possession to such a degree. Would love a Foxes win though...
@Overmars with respect , every team we have played this season have dominated possession against us and i hope united do too, we are a counter attacking team
@Foxeyrod You guys haven't won games against top teams got battered by arsenal, Drew with spurs.
@WazzaFC On the other hand Wazza, Man U's attack is not so hot right now.
@Foxeyrod Yeah, anyone can check possession stats under the PL stats. Despite having the third lowest possession this season, even at home, Leicester are flourishing. Van Gaal's possession game should play right into their hands, as long as the Foxes can resist the narcolepsy most sides facing Man U experience. I'll go for a Leicester win, with Vardy on the scoresheet again.
I think van got old and spoiled unt with conservative ideas.so this boring boring yellow team need to whole refreshing in coach group.! 1-0 Leicester.!!!!!!!!!!!
United fans need to be honest with themselves, who is going to inspire the win here? Answer: Nobody. Leicester to win a scrappy affair, maybe the beginning of the end for VanGaal (which sounds ridiculous as United are second, but thats modern football), anybody that knows anything about football knows that for 200M pounds you expect to watch entertaining football!!
i think we will go at united like we did against arsenal. but i think we have a better chance of outscoring man utd as despite improving their defence they are very powderpuff in attack. rooney scares no one nowadays 2 - 0 to the mighty blue foxes
I always knew that United is a shitty team. They confirmed it against CSKA with some awful and boring football. I really hope Vardy will bang them.
@tinxhi You should have watched utd vs psv i literally slept watching that match.
draw game
Man Utd have to find a way of stopping mahrez and vardy from receiving the ball and we'll win. Otherwise i sense a win for Leceister 2-1. Drinkwater MOTM
Feel a draw in this table-topping clash
Best attack against best defence in the league..gonna be very interesting
All respect to Leicester. They are going places right now , incredible performance this season. But we saw last season some glimbse about the foxes ,they are fearless. Hope for a win against them, but it's gonna be really tough game for the red devils. May the best win! :)
Top of the table clash
@mIKe9441 Who'd have said that in August!
