Aston Villa
- There are no fresh injury concerns for Alan Pardew to contend with, and new signing Bakary Sako could be in the squad for the first time as his continues to build his fitness having missed out on pre-season.
- Pardew made a couple of changes against Arsenal last time out with Glenn Murray and Jordon Mutch making way for Connor Wickham and Yannick Bolasie and he has plenty of options going forwards.
- Patrick Bamford is still hoping for a start and could come into contention with fellow new signing Wickham, while Wilfried Zaha's place could be under threat.
- Carles Gil, Jack Grealish and new signing Adama Traore all featured for the under-21s in a bid to build their fitness at the start of the week and while Gil may still be a week away from a return the latter pairing may be in contention.
- Defenders Jores Okore and Jose Angel Crespo are still sidelined, so the back four should remain unchanged.
- Rudy Gestede was still lacking match fitness for the game against United last time out but will surely be pushing for a first start this weekend following underwhelming displays from Agbonlahor, Ayew and Sinclair.
Troare is a beast!
Palace very good attacking, Villa good defending. 1-1
Aston Villa is too much mystery at moment. Lineup is almost impossible to predict for Villa. Grealish impressed at the end of last season but this game could be to quick for him. Richards is showing a lot of desire maybe sometimes too much. Palace will go with same lineup and is building up with Bolasie and Zaha on wings. Bolasie has to show what he can do. Pochetino will watch this game.Palace to win
1-0 Palace
