France

Netherlands
- In the absence of Benjamin Mendy, Layvin Kurzawa and Lucas Digne compete for the left-back spot.
- Samuel Umtiti and Laurent Koscielny should partner up at the back, with Raphael Varane sidelined, though Kurt Zouma is back in the squad and there could also be a debut for Presnel Kimpembe.
- Florian Thauvin is the only right-sided winger in the squad, though Deschamps could call upon Nabil Fekir to play there after a superb start to the season.
- Matuidi and Kante will compete for a place in midfield, while Mbappe may have to make do with a place on the bench given a lack of action so far this season.
- Cillessen, Zoet and Stekelenburg are all vying for a place in goal.
- Veltman seems certain to start at right-back in the absence of Rick Karsdorp, while Wesley Hoedt's understanding with Stefan de Vrij from their time at Lazio could play in his favour over Martins Indi and De Ligt.
- Ajax youngster Donny van Beek will hope to make his debut while there could be an opportunity for Marco van Ginkel in midfield after a strong start to the season, competing for a place in midfield with Wesley Sneijder.
- Despite still being a fringe player at Spurs, Vincent Janssen's impressive international record could see him get the nod over Dost and the returning Van Persie, while Memphis and Promes will vie for a start on the left.
I never thought I'd see the day where England were categorically better than Holland. The sending off made it easier for France but the Dutch still only managed 1 shot prior to that and no matter who they have in charge, the team continues to be an embarrassment. I feel for their fans. The infrastructure and support is there to produce top class talent but it seems to have missed this generation.
@SteveHyland They've been on decline for quite some time now. Ajax's biggest stars used to be Dutch, now they have Dolberg, Onnana, Younes, and Ziyech who aren't Dutch. The fact that it took those international stars for Ajax to reach the later stage of European competition for the first time in about a decade says a lot about the sad state of Dutch football. Where's the new van der Sar, the new van Nistelrooy, the new Davids, the new Overmars? the last of their world class players are way past their best (Robben, Sneijder, van Persie) and they don't even have any potential replacements that has 1/2 of their talent.
@SteveHyland It's time (for the heck of it) to start injecting some of the younger talent into this squad. Jerry St. Juste and Riechedly Bazoer come to mind, Van Dijk as well. Robben and Sneidjer should be out or brought on as subs more or less.
please anyone knows where I can get the events of the 26th min ?
Please...was there a free kick between 26:00 - 26:59 for the France vs Holland match ?
Correct me if i'm wrong, but I think Robben is officially old.
@Stevus He hasn't won a single dribble in three consecutive games. So yes, he is officially old...
@Stevus His teammates officially suck.
The Netherlands are embarassing...
The standard incompetent italian referee. Doesn't see a penalty. Invents a red card.
If France lines up as predicted, it'll be possibly the first team to line up with more left-footers than righties: Umtiti, Kurzawa, Fekir, Griezmann, Lemar, Giroud. Random, but interesting...
@andrew7taylor Don't forget Lloris
@andrew7taylor lol pretty cool
netherland will win this game 0-2 thanks
If everybody writes that France is gonna win a 100 % they probably won't than...
Who will win this match??
@viratbossmahi France 100%, the prospect of Dutch football is not bright unfortunately. And this really could be a tough game for France but it depends on how they perform, not the Dutch. If France is good, it's over within 15 minutes.
France win + BTTS
We need to win this. Huge game. Allez Les Bleus!
France is gonna win 100%
