Team News

Sweden
Belgium
  • Mikael Lustig is still struggling with a groin strain and remains a doubt for Sweden, with Victor Lindelof in line to start at right-back once more.
  • Head coach Erik Hamrén could name the same starting XI that fell to a 1-0 defeat to Italy on Friday afternoon, which would see John Guidetti continue up front alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
  • Mousa Dembele is a doubt having limped off in the 3-0 win over Republic of Ireland with an ankle injury and will be assessed closer to Thursday's late kick off.
  • Other than that, Marc Wilmots has no fresh injury concerns for the meeting with Sweden and will hope to name the same starting XI for the meeting with Sweden, though Radja Nainggolan is an option alongside Axel Witsel.

Prediction

  • Sweden know they face an early exit from Euro 2016 unless they secure a win at Belgium's expense and hope Italy can overcome Republic of Ireland in the other group game. They have just one point to their name from the two games played so far, though face an uphill task against Belgium.
  • The Red Devils picked up a crucial three points against Republic of Ireland at the weekend and know that if they can avoid defeat, they will progress in second on Wednesday. The last time these two teams met, Belgium picked up a 2-0 win back in 2014 and will hope for a repeat in the final game of Group E.
  • Sweden need a much improved performance to hope to progress, but should be outmatched by Belgium in Nice.

  • Zlatans last game for sweden.. :( I really want him to score and win, but Belgium played really well against Ireland and they need a win as well, so unfortunately i have to say 0-1, but I will root for sweden and the god himself ^^

  • Ibrah to score i see a 1-2 score here

  • Isaksson deserves to be man of the match!

  • If Sweden won't win, this will be Zlatan's last game for them. Sweden have been disappointing so far but I hope they at least manage to get some shot on goal and maybe score one or two. I wouldn't be too hopeful about them winning though. I think Mertens should start, he offers more against Sweden's tight defense than Carrasco. 1-2.

  • so 2-2

  • Ibrahimovic should score for the history books. As for 1x2 - can be back to draw when needed style.
