Poor from Dortmund, Aubameyang and Reus in particular. Milner played well. Lallana, 4 chances created and 85% pass completion (from a winger!) = 6.7. Pretty harsh rating considering he was better than Reus and Durm put together. Advantage Liverpool now. Hopefully they don't cock it up at Anfield in spectacular fashion
@SteveHyland Reus is no good anymore. His skills are not good enough for possession type football. He needs space since his ball control, especially his first touch, are dreadful. He also stopped seeking 1-1 situations and has become a pure scoring only kinda guy.
The tendancy is that (both in CL and EL) the teams that start away in the first round of the knockout-stages go through. That would be Liverpool, Shaktar, Sevilla and Sparta Prague this time. If it happens year after year, then maybe maybe its about time UEFA scrap the "away-goal" rule....
Great game. Liverpool needs to play simple out of the back and not be afraid to skip the midfield. It's too dangerous to play out of defence sometimes with those Dortmund rottweilers in midfield. Can't believe their pressing and energy.
Also Liverpool needs to defend in front of defence a little better.
@neumi17- Lol, no I actually meant do you think he is Bayern-bound given their CB crisis this year and the fact he's the best CB in the league, rather than the only players you like are at Bayern or are soon to be at Bayern.
@DemonixX- Yep, but now he is a fully-fledged top player not a youngster with potential. Plus you know how Dortmund secretly like being a feeder club to Bayern. ;-)
Normally I would say "comfortable win for Dortmund", but after Wolfsburg beat Real Madrid without even using Bendtner, I will refrain from making a prediction here.
@SteveHyland That's a sarcasm, right? These players could play for any top club in Europe, not in freaking Liverpool which is very unlikely to play CL anytime soon.
@kuba2903- Hence the :-p (reports in some of the UK tabloids are that all 3 "will" be joining Liverpool next season). I disagree any of those players would make the starting XI for a top team though. Where would they get into Bayern and Barcelona or even Real Madrid, PSG etc? Mkhitaryan and Weigl wouldn't even make it in Arsenal and all 3 would be bench players for City if Aguero is the starting 9. Given Weigl's age, I expect that to change in a few years' time however.
If Liverpool play well, they can score 2, 3 or even 4 but their defence (particularly with Sakho) is so painfully bad that I doubt they'll concede less than 3 even if they play well. This is the reason why they're a worse team than both West Ham and Southampton and tbh is Klopp's biggest failing as a manager. I'd like Liverpool to still be in the tie going to Anfield and I think they'll score but I think for every 1 they'll score, Dortmund will score at least 2 so I'm going with 3-1 Dortmund.
@SteveHyland Their defence is not that bad, don't jump on the bandwagon because everyone is saying so. They conceded 7 goals in their last 10 matches in all competitions. 3 of which where against Southampton after Skrtel came in. 4 goals in 9 games is not bad at all.
@Ivannnnn- I've been saying their defence is crap all season so I'm not jumping on any band wagon. It doesn't really matter how many they've actually conceded (teams can have a high or low conversion rate which skews those stats), the fact is they've looked terrible and presented chances which players have missed. In games against good teams, they look like they're going to concede a few, most recently against Spurs where had Kane been on top form, they'd have scored at least 3 and Sakho would've had a couple of reverse assists.
@neumi17- In theory, and if Sturridge is on form- this is a player who matched Suarez 90% of the time when they played together, but they'd never devise a gameplan like that because it would guarantee they'd concede 4, 5 or 6. What I'm saying, essentially, is that Liverpool can score loads on their day but will concede loads in the process. I don't expect Liverpool to score more than 3 over the 2 legs because it's not in their interest to play an open tie against a better team in every department.
The bookies odds will inspire a Liverpool victory as they set out to prove everyone wrong once again. Expect a high octane start from Liverpool and goals from Coutinho and Sturridge.
@Red_Card- That'd be bad. If Liverpool go gung-ho from the start leaving space for the Dortmund players to exploit, it could be 3-0 before HT. Klopp needs to realise you can't go hell-for-leather in every game, regardless of the opposition's offensive ability, and expect to win. The only teams who can have that shoot-out, almost basketball-style mentality, simply because they have more guns than everybody else, are Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Liverpool have no world class players, both those team have all world-class front 6s. The tighter this game is, the better for Liverpool.
@glenbayern- I agree, but that kind of goes without saying doesn't it with Dortmund 2nd in the Bundesliga and Liverpool 9th (and will be 7th even if they win their game in hand on West Ham)? Dortmund should win this competition and will only have themselves to blame If they don't given they're 99% guaranteed 2nd in the Bundesliga and have nothing else to concentrate on.

boring match
Why does Weigl always look like he wants to cry? He's worse than Oscar.
@What4 just like don antonio
Lucky draw for Dortmund. To little creativity to create big chances.
hahahahahahahaa

Bring on Sturridge
Hummels best player on the pitch.
@neumi17 Nope, Milner is.
@Philip_AE I was talking about the game on the pitch not some stats...
@neumi17 "some stats" were derived from the "game on the pitch".
@joebloggs But stats don't reflect everything.
Reus useless as usual lately...
@neumi17 I forgot to say, EXTREMELY useless...
Liverpool the better and much more skilled team
Liverpool with the win.
Waiting for Coutinho's magic moment tonight. He will have one!
Great game. Liverpool needs to play simple out of the back and not be afraid to skip the midfield. It's too dangerous to play out of defence sometimes with those Dortmund rottweilers in midfield. Can't believe their pressing and energy. Also Liverpool needs to defend in front of defence a little better.
Hummels great center back! Probably better technique and playmaking skills than many offensive midfielders...
@neumi17- Bayern Munich bound?
@SteveHyland Admiration of Hummels skills = Bayern bound?
@neumi17- Lol, no I actually meant do you think he is Bayern-bound given their CB crisis this year and the fact he's the best CB in the league, rather than the only players you like are at Bayern or are soon to be at Bayern.
@SteveHyland He was Bayern to begin with...
@DemonixX- Yep, but now he is a fully-fledged top player not a youngster with potential. Plus you know how Dortmund secretly like being a feeder club to Bayern. ;-)
Great choreo of Dortmund
Normally I would say "comfortable win for Dortmund", but after Wolfsburg beat Real Madrid without even using Bendtner, I will refrain from making a prediction here.
@What4 Bendtner is the GREATEST STRIKER THAT EVER LIVED
@Demand Goes without saying.
@What4 Without using Bendtner, haha. Dude got sacked I hear...
encounter ..........its gonna a great match . i m barcelona fan but today i want only enjoy this game .
Eager to hear mutual "You're never walk alone". How many Liverpool fans are expected at the stadium?
@Ivannnnn lots
3 - 3 or 3 - 2
the greatest team VS greatest coach
@ARMENBAS Mkhitaryan vs great team
@yervand.beglaryan ha,ha, you are funny
Mid tier PL team against Bundesligas second best team.. should be easy victory for Dortmund, 3-0
@nupp1 bundesliga midtable team wolfsburg beat one of the best teams of spain and world last night ;)
should be similar to PSG-Man City, 2-2 or home win 2-1
On a side note, this is a good chance for Hummels, Weigl and Aubameyang to impress Klopp and get a move to Anfield next season. :-p
@SteveHyland That's a sarcasm, right? These players could play for any top club in Europe, not in freaking Liverpool which is very unlikely to play CL anytime soon.

@SteveHyland- Brain fart, I thought I had written Mkhitaryan instead of Hummels. Wtf?! Stay off the sauce Steve, ffs.
@SteveHyland @SteveHyland Lol, they don't have to impress him. He knows everything about them already. And he would take them if he could for sure.

C'mon Liverpool!
2/2 Liverpool and Dortmund are like family
The bookies odds will inspire a Liverpool victory as they set out to prove everyone wrong once again. Expect a high octane start from Liverpool and goals from Coutinho and Sturridge.

@Red_Card No, actually I don't expect that at all. More like a controlled game with some goals by Reus, Mikitharyian and Auba...
2-0 sounds just about right.
It's time for klopp to face the monster he has created
@glenbayern It`s not his monster anymore, everything Klopps football stands for is gone now from Dortmunds game...
2-2 draw
BvB is of champions league quality,not Liverpool.
@glenbayern you will see real 'quality' tomorrow ;)
Borussia Dortmund is way better than Liverpool.3-0 or 3-1 for dortmund
This game is very exciting and I'm waiting for it. I like Liverpool win but think it will be 2-2
@Homayoon How so? Whats your reasoning ?
There was a time of Klopp, It is time of Klopp, it will be time of Klopp............Klopp, Klopp, Klopp!
@Poon You are bekloppt ...
Go Yurgen Klopp!! :P
@hellreaper At least get the name right if you have to mention it... JUERGEN !
@neumi17 That's what I wanted to write but I wrote how it is spelled, sorry! xD Klopp is a nice guy, I hope he goes trought!
