@Beastador You don't have to show yourself as a weird !! In Football the best team in the pitch has always a big chance to win the clash no matter who's the opponent ( spanish or french or even indian )
@Sreeju- I told you so. ;-) . Having said that, I DID actually say Liverpool at home would be an attacking force that could put a few past this defence, and I was vindicated. Villarreal were poor even before the sending off, Liverpool were dominant and had twice the number of shots. The only outcome was a Liverpool win. The 16 minute spell which started just into the 2nd half was brutal. Something like 82% of the ball which resulted in their first goal. Who else has done that against this team this season? Few and far between. They were deserving winners, unlike Atletico against Bayern (and I've yet to read an article from a respected unbiased journalist which says anything to the contrary) although as President of La Liga's Fanboys Association, to paraphrase your good self, you will look past that little detail because the end result was a Liga win therefore it doesn't matter that the result was unjust. Correct?
@What4@What4 You (PL) win one match and you start resorting to sarcasm , way to go mate but i suggest you save it for the final where you will meet another Spanish team and even if you overcome them then later you and your ilk will have to endure all Spanish affair in Milan.
@Beastador- Yet you fail to mention this fact, club finance, when sucking off La Liga teams and posting your "might of La Liga" spiel after every game. The top 5, in order, go: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man Utd, Bayern Munich, Man City. 3 of those made the semis. If you only mentioned Atletico punching above their financial weight then fine, but shouldn't Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich make it to the semis EVERY season? Of the prem teams, Arsenal and Man City were knocked out by a top 4 side, Man Utd were crap but have been all year and Chelsea were knocked out by a club who spends like a top 4 side. Barcelona were the biggest underperformers of all the quarter finalists. I don't see you ever mention how easy Real Madrid and Barcelona have it with Spanish banks yet you mention financial power when the prem team is the dominant one. I understand being objective is difficult when you hate the English so much, but please try.
@SteveHyland Okay I guess I was being unfair saying that Liverpool won because of money. Its just that in the mule league most people think the likes of City, Arsenal, UTD,Chelsea and Liverpool should be challenging for the champions league. I'm not saying they should win it, but at least put up a fight. City have no excuse for that performance in Madrid. Spanish domination is not good for the sport. If english clubs can't challenge for the champions league at a time when they have unprecedented amounts of money, when will they? The amount of money they waste might have repercussions in 10 years time, just like AC Milan and Inter Milan.
Liverpool had a bit of luck in their goals but they clearly bettered Villarreal in every aspect, especially their counter pressing was deadly at times. Klopp's team have evolved huge steps in creativity and look more comfortable in possession although they are not that consistent yet. Sending off was completely unnecessary but I doubt it changed the outcome, except the third goal. Villarreal are playing CL next season so they certainly have made something right, I just hope they can hold on players like Suarez and Bakumbu.
@Castle You seem to be one of the more sensible PL supporters out here and good on you for wishing Villarreal hold on to there best players although Suarez will certainly leave for Barca but i have to disagree with you regarding the luck thing , i have no issues with the first two goals but third was an offside, referee tonight gave every 50-50 decision in favor of Liverpool as a clear penalty involving Dennis Suarez was not given .Yes the sending off which was again another blunder by the referee did change a lot as it nearly killed any hope Villarreal had of scoring that all important away goal.
@Sreeju- What about all the dives and fouls the ref let go from Villarreal? At the end of the day, the best team over the 2 legs won so it doesn't matter the minutiae of it all. They only matter when it culminates in producing an unfair result.
@tshibuabua AHAHAHA Are you mad? Soldado shouldve been off, yellow for taking a hold of lovrens legs and a yellow for the challenge on coutinho and the constant yelling at the ref, he was lucky marcelino took him off before he had to be forced off, and Denis Suarez should've got a yellow for tripping Milner over off the ball, dirty spaniards.
Liverpool loss quota CL in premire league so they are fighting for championship in UL. Klopp is man of hard days. He good works in knockout stages. I think Liverpool win 3-1
No matter what Klopp has. Virrarael are going to the final. Anfield with a million supporters. A million chants. A million tactical minds it has nothing against Virrarael. Although Liverpool might score a goal. Virrarael isn't that team that is oppressed my huge chants. Home factor. Great motivation team. Remember me when Virrarael picks a draw or wins here at Anfield. Typical EPL fans thinks Liverpool has an edge. It doesn't even have any.
@njamimaranga- Never been to Anfield when the crowd are fired up in an important game then I take it? 1 of the few grounds where home stadium advantage can mean exactly that.
Everything will depend on emotions at Anfield and its like that since Klopp is coach. Klopp is capable to make players feel like the best ones, if they all do it right mentally, Villareal have no chance. If they broke, Villareal goes to final with away goal.
Villareal are no pushovers. Klopp will have to put out his best 11 from the start. Seeing how Liverpool have done at home this season (4-3 against BVB, 2-0 against the scum, 3-0 against Manchester City), they are capable of coming up with a positive result. No Origi and Sakho is a huge huge blow. Klopp will probably play Benteke and Studge up front with Firmino, Coutinho, Lallana and Can on mid. 2-0 would be a good result if our defence holds. We would have to play an aggressive attacking game and yet not leave holes open at the back for a Villareal counter. Villareal on the other hand, might want to defend that 1 goal lead and play a bus parking formation. But if they want to extend that lead, then this would be a very open game. I would give Pool the home advantage. 2-0 or 3-1 YNWA.
This should be better match than first leg where Pool provided little and Villarreal even less so except a goal. Liverpool have to score now so they will play more open game. Villarreal can focus on defending in which they're so good at, it's glad to see Musacchio back. If Villarreal score, Liverpool probably won't make it; I don't see them capable scoring three goals right now although they did score four against Dortmund so who knows. So any sloppy defending or even attacking (loosing ball in dangerous area) from Liverpool could cost them everything. I'll say 2-0 or 2-1, it's very much up to Liverpool now.
Liverpool to beat Virrarael.?? haha. Because you only know Liverpool yiu don't take time to know who Virrarael are. Liverpool has a good home record. A home form that I would rate 7.8 stars. Now think of Virrarael. They have travelled dangerous stadiums. Vicente de Calderón - Athletico Madrid. Napoli. Bayer Luverkusen. Malaga. Sevilla (leading HT). Where they walked away with points. Thier last game win at Mestalla 0-2 against Valencia gives you an insight that Virrarael are more dangerous. They have a good defense too. Think of Liverpool scoring 2 goals
Boooh. Rethink again. Bet on Virrarael to pick a draw or win @2.10. Liverpool win against BvB was awesome. Thier Home record since January is incredible. But Virrarael is not that team you beat bcoz you're on form or score more than 2 goals.
@njamimaranga oh please..take time to think who Liverpool are as well. Don't be such a knobhead. We all know this is football and anything can happen. Stop acting like a typical football idiot who thinks his team is invincible. Wake up.
Spanish team vs non Spanish team? We all know the Spanish team go through. The Europa and CL will both have all Spanish finals. The la liga domination continues. Sure you prem teams have money, but you sure as hell don't have spirit or the metal to participate in European competitions. Spanish clubs now won 13 of 13 knockout ties v non Spanish clubs this season. 44 of 47 in last three seasons. Deal with it.
Villarreal 100% will go through. Might be on away goals, but Villarreal will go through to the final. All Spanish final in both Europa League and UCL this season.
Winoverpool
well done Liverpool! Every Liverpool player on the pitch was fantastic today. A great victory achieved by the players, and Klopp!
The title will stay in Spain, where it belongs. This is Sevilla's competition.
@Beastador This reinvigorated Liverpool will shock you come 18th of May. Klopp is a specialist at putting up good performances in tough matches,....
@Beastador liverpool will win the title
@Beastador You don't have to show yourself as a weird !! In Football the best team in the pitch has always a big chance to win the clash no matter who's the opponent ( spanish or french or even indian )
@Beastador Stop being so ignorant, Liverpool were by FAR the better team, this is not BPLvs La Liga so stop being an arrogant fool
How did a team from the mule league beat a team from the most glorious league that ever existed, absolutely beyond believe. And by 3 goals!
@What4 I am still waiting for the Resident PL fanboy association President Mr Steve Hyland to grace this forum with a " i told you so " ...
@Sreeju- I told you so. ;-) . Having said that, I DID actually say Liverpool at home would be an attacking force that could put a few past this defence, and I was vindicated. Liverpool have eliminated:their arch rivals, a top 5 team in Europe and a powerful Spanish outfit.they deserve the title.
@glenbayern top 5 team? who?
@glenbayern Liverpool are one of the richest clubs in the world, unlike Villarreal and sevilla.
@Beastador- Yet you fail to mention this fact, club finance, when sucking off La Liga teams and posting your "might of La Liga" spiel after every game. Biktor Kassai el pendejo de mierda

@tshibuabua dont blame the ref, Villareal did so much dive's , and agressive playing ,that it should have been 3 reds. So..
I see Villareal brought their handbags.
Rly aggressive match, our Ref must work on 140%..
Also I think Milner MOTM
@Homayoon either Milner or Firmino
Liverpool loss quota CL in premire league so they are fighting for championship in UL. Klopp is man of hard days. He good works in knockout stages. I think Liverpool win 3-1
2-1, maybe 2:2
А я верю в Клоппа и верю в "Энфилд"! Думаю, получится что-то столь валидольное, что все забудут матч Боруссиия - Малага в 1/4.
Almost Everybody thinks Liverpool will win this game. Hahaha. Collect me in the Dustbin.
@njamimaranga hey!? What you doing raking through my dustbins, get outta here!

@njamimaranga- Never been to Anfield when the crowd are fired up in an important game then I take it? 1 of the few grounds where home stadium advantage can mean exactly that.
@njamimaranga ehh? What's that?
@njamimaranga you were saying .. ?

@njamimaranga see...what did i tell you? ;)
@njamimaranga oh please..take time to think who Liverpool are as well. Don't be such a knobhead. We all know this is football and anything can happen. Stop acting like a typical football idiot who thinks his team is invincible. Wake up.
I'm pretty sure of another great comeback from Liverpool this night too........YNWA.

@Beastador That record will end today :)
1-0 and penals drama :)
Villarreal 100% will go through. Might be on away goals, but Villarreal will go through to the final. All Spanish final in both Europa League and UCL this season.
3-1 Clyne MOTM ;)
