Team News

  • Bordeaux will continue to miss Igor Lewzcuk in central defence but Serbian youngster Vukasin Jovanovic had an impressive debut in his stead.
  • Maxime Poundjé was excluded from the squad, with Diego Contento recalled. Théo Pellenard is likely to start at left back, but the former Bayern Munich man's inclusion in the 18-man squad is a surprise after a move to Sunderland fell through last month.
  • Diego Rolan led the line in Tuesday's 4-0 win over Caen and should keep his place ahead of Gaetan Laborde after opening the scoring in Normandy.
  • Julian Draxler will likely be rested after starting midweek.
  • Marco Verratti and Kevin Trapp are available for selection again. Both should start, but Verratti could be taken off early.
  • Thiago Motta is suspended for their Champions League clash with Barcelona next week and should start at the base of midfield here.
  • Maxwell should start at left back as Unai Emery will want Layvin Kurzawa fresh for Tuesday's visit of Barcelona.

  • Bordeaux should be brimming with confidence after thrashing Caen midweek; the club are now level on points with fifth-place Saint-Étienne and have the league as their priority after being eliminated from both cups.
  • These sides met in the Coupe de la Ligue late last month; Paris Saint-Germain played a strong side to win 4-1, but Bordeaux were feisty throughout, the score perhaps flattering the visitors.
  • PSG face Barcelona on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes; some choices will be made with that match in mind, but Unai Emery will also be loath to fail to put pressure on Nice and Monaco ahead of their fixtures this weekend.

  • Cavani's on fire! 25 league goals so far... and counting

  • cavani is having an amazing season in therms of goalscoring... his numbers would have looked even better if it wasnt for some easy misses

  • @XsTream You seem to miss the basis of Cavani's style: the man is an incredible athlete who will spend the whole game sunning either to help in the defence or to position himself to get a pass... once and again all game long. That means he's usually in the end of a lot of chances, but also little oxygen left for finishing. Thus, it doesn't matter whether or not he misses some chances, because he'll almost surely score a a goal sooner or later. The problem isn't Cavani missing chances, but his team-mates adding too few goals themselves. When Ibra was scoring for fun, he still had Cavani besides him scoring 20+ a season (all comps), But now Cavani has taken Ibra's place, who's taking el matador's old place as secondary goal scorer? Di Maria has been adding some as of late, but Lucas ain't scoring as many as he used to score least season and the same can be said about the midfielders: Matuidi for instance used to score a lot more.

  • psg to win. 0-2.

  • Bordeaux will be facing a weaker PSG as players rest for CL. Because of this they will definitely score. My money is on BTTS.

  • Emery has a habit of rotating squads prior to European football matches. This could be another one.Should he do that,a home win seems likely since Bordeaux are a tough team at home. But whatever he does PSG should be able to collect the maximum points here. I'm going for a narrow away win, though Bordeaux 1-2 PSG

  • 0-1

  • 1-3
