Team News

  • Club record signing Borja Baston has stepped up his recovery over the international break and could come into contention on Sunday. Other than that, no serious changes are expected from the home side.
  • Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has new signings Marcos Alonso and David Luiz available after they were signed on deadline day. However, only Luiz is likely to start against Swansea, in what would be his first game in a Chelsea shirt since 2014.
  • There still doesn't appear a way back into the starting XI for Cesc Fabregas, who will probably start the match from the bench against Swansea. Kurt Zouma and Marko van Ginkel remain their only injury absentees.
  • Diego Costa has scored five goals in three matches against Swansea.

  • Swansea haven't won in the league since the opening weekend. They've suffered consecutive 2-1 defeats since then and life doesn't get much easier when they welcome a Chelsea side with an 100% record thus far. There hasn't been much reason to cheer at Swansea this season.
  • The Swans are unbeaten in their last two matches against Chelsea and even beat them the last time the two sides faced off in April. However, Chelsea slowly coming together under Antonio Conte and have Eden Hazard back to his best. Diego Costa also likes a goal against Swansea and a routine win for the away team is definitely on the cards.

  • @B4C No. Chrome on Windows 7 64-bit and Chrome on Windows 10

  • @B4C not only you it seems

  • it's a sure win for Chelsea FC

  • Hazard is going to pulverise that defence Costa will also run riot

  • 2-1 chelsea

  • Terry and Cahill are too weak to handle Llorente and co. 2-2

  • So Chelsea sold David Luiz for £45M to PSG, then bought him back for £30M a few years later. I wonder what Mansour owed Abramovich £15M for. Looks like very legit and above-board deal going on here, it's not like oil and gas tycoons ever get involved in shady business, is it?

  • @What4 Actually PSG made money with David Luiz.

  • @What4 there are more tricks like that, when some team which sells given player to another one and then also sells match in the league for some % of money given as 'transfer" before:)

  • 0-3 Chelsea. Batshuayi to score.
