Team News
Sunderland
Crystal Palace
- Patrick van Aanholt was withdrawn from action prior to the 1-0 loss at Spurs last weekend due to an anomaly following a heart scan and it remains to be seen whether he will feature until the issue is fully cleared up, with Jason Denayer set to deputise at full-back once more.
- Jermain Defoe and Wahbi Khazri are both doubts, though the former could lead the attack here.
- Sebastian Larsson, Vito Mannone, Fabio Borini and Victor Anichebe are all sidelined.
- Scott Dann was forced off with a hamstring strain in midweek and is ruled out until after the international break, but James Tomkins is available following a knee problem and will start alongside Damien Delaney.
- Pape Souare is a long-term injury concern for the Eagles, as is Loic Remy, but Yohan Cabaye is fit and available for selection after playing the full 90 minutes in midweek and should start.
defoe is good
Jermaine Defoe is lethal. Imagine if he played for a team that created more chances for him
Sunderland vs Crystal Palace 1-1 draw game will be calm
0-1 Palace Benteke to score and MOTM.
@Overmars Palace have had hard time not to concede and it will get even harder with Soare, Dann and possibly Tomkins out. Sunderland aren't exactly big scoring team but I'd tip Defoe to score, possibly after mistake from Palace's defense. Townsend and Puncheon have offered good supply so far, it would be no wonder if Benteke scored. 1-1 or 1-2.
