Team News
Man City
Everton
- Bacary Sagna has been ruled out for three weeks after injuring his hamstring during the international break. Kevin de Bruyne was expected to miss this fixture but could return to the squad earlier than anticipated if there are no setbacks in his recovery from a hamstring problem.
- There were fears Sergio Aguero had picked up an injury on duty with Argentina, but he insists he is fit. Raheem Sterling missed the international period due to a calf injury and remains a doubt for the reception of Everton, but Nolito is back in contention after servin his three-match ban. Vincent Kompany and Fabian Delph aren't expected to feature in any capacity this weekend.
- Pep Guardiola has been reluctant in using Leroy Sane so far this season, which could mean Jesus Navas is given another chance to impress should Sterling fail to recover.
- Phil Jagielka was forced to withdraw from the England squad during the international break due to a thigh strain but has been passed fit for this fixture, as have Romelu Lukaku, Darron Gibson and Leighton Baines.
- James McCarthy hasn't featured in any of Everton's last seven matches because of injury and Ronald Koeman says the midfielder is 'overloaded' after featuring heavily during the international break. This suggests he will not play against Manchester City.
19 versus 3 shots, and this site makes Everton the better team. Haha, Everton result was completely based on dumb luck.
Guardiola at it again! and my predictions are coming true. I knew he was overrated with these past few results we can see that. Can't beat Everton at home! (I know Stekelenburg was amazing) We will see what he does in the champions league this week.
@Calcio_Guy stop it. He is a great coach. Stop it with your unnecessary prediction. Its very possible that he wins the league.
@nceshNcero and nobody could have matched Stekelenburg performance.
@nceshNcero As he should.... his squad is BY FAR the best in the league. If he doesn't win the league that would be embarrassing. He should also go deep into the champions league with that squad.
Stek astonishing saves.OMG!! Man C are threatining others (despite result). Everton defence were very confidents and calms.
@sampo i forgot something..the pinguin who can not run like humans , in Man city front line (No:72).. He should play in Antartica league with his friends.
Stek the best.
Stekelenburg was sensational !
Bravo, Stekelenburg!
u got be kidding me, penalties ???
Jagielka 2 penalties... 6.7 score...wtf
next-day training drill in Man City: 1. penalties 2. penalties 3. penalties
@fervour21 Guardiola copies Cruyff though, doesn't believe in practising penalties.
wtf, I habe both aguero and de bruyne in my fantasy team and they both miss penalties . . .
@JTD_98 they still among the best players in EPL.
2-0 to man city, de bruyne and iheanacho to score
Hi EPL CHAMPIONS.I hope pep leave the UCL as soon as possible. The schedule is very very hard the next 2 months. Viva Man city.
Finally Sané is playing, he was spectacular during the week in the two german U21 games and went to the defenders like a hot knife through butter. Hopefully he will have an impact today ...
@neumi17 Not too many fans of Sane here ...
@neumi17 * through defenders
chelsea, city, gladbach, barcelona and probably also juve all played with 3 at the back
where is aguero?? my fantasy team...
@Santos10 he's on mine too, why's he on the bench?
Koeman is no mug, he knows what's what. Expect a tight game.
City will get back to normal business again with De Bruynne and Nolito scoring in first half before being substituted in the second. Everton comes back a little late with a goal in the 88 minutes with the score already at 3-0. City 3-1.
Barkley to score from free kick. SA to score from through ball
t>2
Do not expect more goals in this match. Everton has chosen a sensible formation, Four players permantly station at the bag the bag being supported by the midfield. What Everton FC will seek to do in this match is to stay in their have and throw the ball to their three able men in front. If Man. City come out without care, Lukaku will punish them. The formation of Man. City is a dicy one, they will play defence and midfield but if Everton make mistakes and show wickness, they will poound on them. Double chance for Man. City.
btts yes
3 1 to man city aguero should score at least twice
Koeman always produces the most balanced team in the league. His problem is that he has always had to make do with average and slightly above average personnel barring 1 or 2 players. If we were to switch the managers, this would be a 5-0 City win. As it is, I think it'll be close. 2-1 City.
Both to score
1-1
@Overmars Downvoted yet I predicted the correct score :(
