Tottenham
Man City
- Eric Dier, Danny Rose, Mousa Dembele and Moussa Sissoko did not travel to Russia for their 1-0 win over CSKA Moscow in midweek with one eye on Sunday's clash with Manchester City and they should all return to first-team action this weekend.
- Vincent Janssen will continue to lead the line in Harry Kane's absence, as the England striker continues his recovery from ankle ligament damage.
- Nolito serves the final match of his three-game ban here. Kevin de Bruyne is also ruled out for the trip to Tottenham after he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury. A set back in Vincent Kompany's return will see him miss out once again, while Fabian Delph is also struggling shake off a knock.
- Leroy Sane and Jesus Navas are vying to start in Kevin de Bruyne's absence, while Bacary Sagna and John Stones will return to the side after being rested against Celtic in midweek.
Pochettino the best manager in the world right now
Otamendi 8.2 is, to put it politely, a joke. I know this is based purely on stats but there is something desperately wrong with the scoring system if somebody who was a 4/10 in reality gets double that. None of the City outfield players deserve anything above 6.5, most were sub-6. As for Spurs, very good- Alderweireld and Wanyama in particular. Should've won this game by far more than the 2-goal margin they did. I think Pep is finding that in this league, teams don't lay down and have their belly tickled by the supposed top dogs. I fancy Arsenal to score 4 past this outfit if they play like this.
@SteveHyland cmon now you can just about cheat your way past burnley hahaha, have a day off
Sané shouldn't have moved to City. It was clear that he wouldn't get much play time. But he went for the money and not for experience and play time. Bad decision when you are 19 or 20 ...
@neumi17 Doesn't look much like a bad decision now, does it?
@neumi17- He should've asked to be loaned back to Schalke where he'd have played every minute. That way his future is with a big team but he gets experience with a lesser team in a less difficult league.
@SteveHyland less difficult league we all found out how much difficult pl is for guardiola. Less difficult league or lesser team my hiney. Schalke 04 have more history than city.
@SteveHyland wow genius would schalke really want to stall development alessandro schopf and meyer just so they can develop Sane for city. That is great logic on your side.
Ratings in this game are ridiculous. Lamela got a 5.9 for missing a pen but Kolarov has a 6.1? Otamendi with 8.2?! Sort it out.
@benforman MotM was Son Heung-min anyway.
Why Otamendi has 8.2 rating?
It's a fact: Aguero is NOT a world class striker. I've had chorizo with a higher IQ than the Kun has. Great game by Son Heung-min. Useless and priggish Lamela should have let him take the penalty.
@BeautifulLoser Put down the crack pipe.
Finally! Welcome to the premier league Guardiola
@Vellicahearst did you expect him to win all the matches
@levi22 man city fan's did
No De Bruyne, no party.
If only possible, Dembele must start, he alone has the same impact Dier and Wanyama have together and both are good players. It would have been very interesting to see how Tottenham would have coped with De Bruyne's runs as their defense is one of the best organized in the league. City still have excellent squad but may face difficulties to brake Spurs' defense. With tireless Son, Eriksen and Lamela Tottenham can give lots of pressure to City's defensive players but they might also drop deeper and look for counter attacks. This could well be a match where both teams create some decent chances but the one who takes them better (and maybe first) takes an upper hand. 1-1 or 2-1 for Tottenham.
lets go sonshine
end of that silly run of Guardiola here, draw or Tottenham, smell draw 1-1
ALL OUT MAN CITY .....THEY WILL WALK OVER THEM LIKE A FLAT HAM
@aarondrdre you were saying??
Will be more goals in that match. Over 2,5
Game of the week for sure.
1-2 or 1-3.
Even though I'm an Arsenal fan i would prefer Spurs beating City because City are absolutely unstoppable atm. At this rate they are going to walk the league.
Being at Spurs, I think it'll be a draw. Spurs' defence is far better than City's but City's attack is better than Spurs, more-so now Kane is out. I'll go with 2-2.
I really think this prediction overestimates Spurs. They've had an easy run other than Everton, Liverpool and Monaco and those were D, D and L respectively.
This is tough to call, Spurs missing Kane and Dembele and City in a scintillating form. I'd go for a low score here 1:1 or 2:1 Spurs . Just because City will come to attack and potentially can open up and Spurs are very strong playing at home now under Pochetino.
Man City will smack Tottenham and will keep the winstreak going.....
we can beat man city
come on totenham
Tottenham will stop City. Scores Tottenham 2-1 Man. City
