You just have to give a credit to Slaven Bilić no matter who you support. He had so much injured players this season, new stadium (a bigger pitch) that didn't work out well for his tactics but West Ham keep improving. And what he did with Antonio is just insane, from a solid right back to real threatening striker who can both, score and create goal scoring chances, that's impresive! As the season goes by Slaven Bilić side will get better and better, and for me it's just a matter of time when they will hit a winning streak and climb up the table.
If you only manage 3 shots on target against West Ham despite having 68% of the ball, one of those came from a keeper's error and another was a speculative effort from outside the box, you don't deserve to win. In this game we saw why Liverpool wont win the league in it's current state- terrible conversion rate and a terrible defence. The conversion rate is now 7.59 shots per goal (including Milner's 5 penalties) and their defence is one which helps points to be dropped. It is why you cannot base how good a defence is purely on the number of goals conceded. West Ham's last 2 games prove the difference between a good defence and a defence who until recently have, frankly, gotten away with it.
@SteveHyland You speak some truth, but January is fast approaching and at that point Coutinho will be back and we'll have the opportunity to bring in a couple more attacking options. You speak the truth for the short term, but not for the long term. Long term, Chelsea will almost definitely be top 2, Arsenal will probably be 3rd ahead of City, Man United and Tottenham will be fighting for 5th, and Liverpool will be fighting for the title, though admittedly Chelsea are favorites.
@sarigginsUSA- Even with Coutinho, your conversion rate was poor though. His own is 9.8 shots per goal. Ultimately, unless Liverpool bring in somebody the calibre of Diego Costa to play in the 9 then the conversion rate will remain within the 7.5 - 8 shots per goal ratio. Extrapolating through to the end of the season, Liverpool will have scored 94 goals and conceded 51; Arsenal 91 and 38; Chelsea 84 and 28. No team has won the EPL having conceded more than 45. Tightening the defence is the only way Liverpool can contest the title but Klopp doesn't see it as a poor defence and almost certainly wont spend big on quality defenders and a keeper.
Michail Antonio has caused us all sorts of problems last season, but Payet has been extremely inconsistent lately and the rest of the WHU team has been in shocking form. They don't pose the same attacking threat or the same defensive prowess, so this could be an absolute - hammering (Pun intended). Origi will probably score in my opinion, he's an incredibly underrated striker and although he doesn't have the team-oriented dynamism of Firmino in the F9 position, his pace and power can cause any defense all sorts of problems. Mane has started to look a bit tired but since Klopp gave the entire squad a rest midweek, I think the team will be extremely fresh and thus I think it'll end 5-0. I know people will point to the so-called "leaky" defense that we have, but if you factor out the two games away to Bournemouth and Arsenal, our defense has only conceded .7 goals per game... better than any other team in the league bar Tottenham. And our offense, obviously, is the best in the league.
Bilic's only comfort in this match is the possibility of Cresswell and Antonio slotting back in the lineup before the December madness begins. I think WS will be proven wrong with their predicted lineup. Emre Can will start instead of Wijnaldum. Tough to call the MOTM but Mane and Firmino look overdue for the honor.
wow Liverpool did not have 1 decent attacking sub to have an impact off the bench. Their depth is shocking
@mIKe9441 erm.... have you seen the amount of injuries? Without them we have on of the deepest squads.

@skyeye but he should address his defenders. Coz those defenders don't understand tackling and marking

@SteveHyland- It is actually 7.57 shots per goal. WhoScored round up so I based it on 281 shots not the 280 shots they have actually taken.
@SteveHyland- A downvote straight away, I'm honoured. Liverpool fans, to quote Jack Nicholson "can't handle the truth". ;-)

@sarigginsUSA No, it is still there
@neumi17 It doesn't show up for me for some reason.
must win match for Liverpool...if now lose bye winning the title
@jyke.makinen It's barely a third of the way through the season...
@sarigginsUSA jeah but Liverpool have big problems :/

@sarigginsUSA Well I was really off wasn't I?

Liverpool easy win here
Could be any number of goals for Liverpool, 3, 4, 5, 6....
Arsenal should've beat West Ham 7-0. I see Liverpool winning by a 3-goal margin, most likely 4-1.
3-2 Liverpool - Carroll to score
