Team News
Leicester
Chelsea
- Jamie Vardy, who is available again after serving his three-match ban, and Andy King are slight doubts after missing their weekend win over Everton in the FA Cup through illness.
- Leicester are without Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani, both of whom are away on international duty with Algeria at the Africa Cup of Nations. Daniel Amartey is also at AFCON.
- Ahmed Musa scored both of Leicester's goals against Everton in the FA Cup third round and he may be handed a first league start since the start of November as a result.
- Claudio Ranieri gave new signing Wilfred Ndidi his debut in the FA Cup at the weekend and could hand him a Premier League bow here up against his predecessor, N'Golo Kante.
- John Terry was sent off in their win over Peterborough at the weekend and will serve a one-match ban after failing with his appeal.
- Chelsea have recalled Nathan Ake from a loan spell with Bournemouth to provide cover in defence. Marcos Alonso is a doubt with a leg injury he has been carrying since joining and Ake could be required on Saturday, although Pedro is another option.
- No other changes are expected from Conte, who will recall Eden Hazard to the starting XI from their 4-1 win over Peterborough, though Diego Costa won't feature after a reported bust up with the Chelsea boss.
- Victor Moses' position on the right flank may be in doubt after his performances have dropped, but he should be safe here.
Leicester should've stuck with 4-4-2. There's no telling whether that would've affected the result but it doesn't make sense to go horses-for-courses when you've been playing the same formation for ages. Matching Chelsea positionally only works if your personnel is as good, a la Spurs. Clearly, Leicester's aren't. I expected more from them.
why did they even sign Batshuayi? he's never been given a shot at proving himself
The topscorer of PL is out because China offers him even more millions? Football has gone mad in millions ... :-(
Leicester here will play like they did against Man City 3-1
@sarigginsUSA But this was Chelsea, so it wasn`t enough ...
Ndidi to have a really good debut
Leicester 1-4 Chelsea
costa isn't in the chelsea's list
1-4
This match could define leicester season if they beat chelsea it will bring a huge uplift to them and could set up a revival out of relegation zone. Nuff said
@RemyLebeu Well seems like they're getting relegated
chelsea away form has been not perfct but ok they have won some last 3 away matches by 1 nil margin so either they win 1 nil again or give away a goal to leiceter home adwantage so a draw seems likely but then with slimani and mahrez will be a big miss for leicester both have scored and made many assists leicester might need something special from vardy otherwise a chelsea win. Nuff siad
For those who don't know, and Sky Sports News didn't bother telling us, Tianjin Quanjian are apparently the team who made the bid for Diego Costa. Fabio Cannavaro is their manager and Axel Witsel is their only big name player. Had to look all of that up because like most, I don't want to watch football played by teams consisting of Sunday league level players plus 1 or 2 stars. I do hope Chelsea fans don't now start getting moral having done almost exactly the same when Abramovich took over. If you deal in a world where players join your club purely for money then you have to accept they will leave purely for money. He wont leave for £80m though. Roman will get that upped to £100m before too long and that would be good business for Chelsea.
Costa will not play
@kormega sure
@kormega Why?
@BibBetAdvisor According to SkySports, a Chinese club wants to sign him for 80m, and his salary would be 30m per year. Costa wants to leave CFC, but Abra don't want to sell him.
@Stuttgart3 mark my words Costa will play tomorrow
@denisgrad lol
More likely 1-3 or 0-2.
Leicester are good at home but lucky for Chelsea they are missing some of their key players. 2-0 for Chelsea... sadly.
Chelsea getting carried away, and then were knocked back by the Tiny Totts. They'll come swaggering into this one, and Leicester will surprise them and smash on the counter. 2-1 to Leicester.
chelsea . <3
Chelsea to win if they turn up.
CHELSEA FC all the way #AntonioConte
@angelmiley23 #chelsea
Leicester will defend right from first minute...therefore more and more free kicks if not penalties. i go for 0-4 or 0-5
i might sound biased as a Chelsea fan but with vardy, mahrez and slimani out i dont see Leicester even having a draw. Costa to score and Hazard/Willian too..i will go for an X2 0-2/0-3
@Aei Chelsea fc all the way
Leicester's away form this season has been terrible but they have been ok at home overall, but inconsistent in the extreme. If they play how they did against Man City then they can get a point. If they play how they did against Middlesbrough then it will be 4-0 Chelsea. I'm hoping it will be closer to the former so a prediction more in hope than anything else, 1-1.
I am afraid of these teams that play the long ball. Leicester 1-2 Chelsea
@0708915762 i really love your predictions overtime, though u flaw atimes but its always reasonable *thumbs up*
@Aei No one is perfect.Thanks mate
@0708915762 How do foxes to score without their major strike force? Absolutely, clean sheet to Chelsea and free flow of goals...
@LoveSS I was totally wrong
Too bad for Leicester but Chelsea are getting back on another 14 game winning streak and it starts with them
0-2
