Liverpool
Tottenham
- Danny Ings, Marko Grujic and Ovie Ejaria are all sidelined for the hosts.
- Ragnar Klavan is back in training after spending almost a week in bed because of illness.
- Dejan Lovren is a huge doubt with a knee injury and will only play if he can train on Friday, while Adam Lallan also missed training earlier in the week.
- Klopp could call on Loris Karius following Simon Mignolet's error at Hull at the weekend.
- Jan Vertonghen, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and Danny Rose all miss out for Spurs through injury here.
- Kieran Trippier is closing in on a return to fitness, but Erik Lamela is set to miss out once more as he recovers from a hip problem.
- Spurs could be unchanged from the 1-0 home win over Middlesbrough.
That result should have been on Etihead too. Tottenham overrated
Davies 7?? Wow
How did Liverpool not get 5 or 6 in the first half?
@What4 Hugo Loris the saviour..
Alli plays a very similar to role to Paul Pogba did when he played for juventus last season aka Auxillary Striker not player maker both chipped in decent amount of goals. The difference is Paul Pogba combined his role of Auxillary Striker with playermaker role as well hence his insane assist stats at juve and he plus he contributes a lot team in term of passing etc. Alli on the other hand just get in the box to score. He doesn't do playmaker stuff. If Tottenham are pressed as in this match or leverkusen match Alli does NOTHING.
@Ffaris you're wrong Alli is a really good playmaker and works well with his team better than pogba does and he's also a better goalscorer too his role at Tottenham changed from last season where he played deeper. And the guy is still really young and he isn't an "average player".
@Tony1000 don't wanna argue with you here. But you really think ALLI is better than POGBA? Good playmaker? how much is he involved in the build up play I might add? Delle essentially is a) presser (a good one) b) goal scorer c) with lot of pace. That is about it.
@Ffaris dint say he is a better player than Pogba said he's a better goalscorer. And that's what football is abt right? Goals??
@Tony1000 not really. This will go on like decade; if we discussed whether is football is goals or not. But have nice day Tony.
@Ffaris Apart from Scoring Alli is a Bang average player, i've been saying this since last season yet everytime i say i get called a retard
Dam right @SmoothJitsu253
Some idiot thought Tottenham played similar to style of Bielsa, Guardiola or Saompoli. Yeah he claim that. But we all know this cheat Pochetino uses adjusted version of Geggenpressing. Cheat u will be exposed.
@Ffaris- Pochettino was MENTORED by Bielsa and you're the only person in the world who believes his pressing style is not a modified version of Marcelo's. If you could understand English, there would be a wealth of online articles for you to read which explains exactly why Pochettino's pressing style is akin to Bielsa's and how the German school is different, but you are too ignorant for that. And it is "Gegenpressing", not Geggenpressing- 'gegen' being German for 'against' (or in the football context, 'counter').
Can is crap should only be used if there is need to rest players or 2nd half subsitution or cup games. MOST IMPORTANTLY MANE IS CURRENTLY BEST PLAYER IN LOOSERPOOL NOT FIRMINO OR COUTINHO. Since he went away Liverpool looked weak as they have no clue who replicate his pace. Only Moreno can but he is not that much quick as ppl make him out to be. So looserpool you need to sign a player similar to Mane aka Quincy Promes better version of Depay. But Ps after Mane liverpool best attacker is Firmino not coutinho coutinho no doubt about it.
Spurs are absolutely pathetic
@sure_ticket is a fraud, the same denis, do not send him cash, do give hime space to con you.
correction @sure_ticket DO NOT give hime space to con you.
1-2
Mauricio Pochettino the best manager on the island?! If Spurs were fit in defence I'd go for them, in this case 2-1 for Reds. But if Wijnaldum sit out again, Spurs for sure! For bettors btts is a banger here! Good luck all!
Liverpool draw or win
2-3 Tottenham
Wanyama will receive a red card due to late tackle.first half 2-0
Spurs will no lose, win or draw (1-1 or 1-2), Alli to score.
@AndreyNosatii *not
draw 1-1
1_1
2-1 Liverpool. Mane to win it at the death
Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham
I don't see Liverpool winning this match but I don't see Spurs winning it neither! So a 1:1/ 2:2 is feasible I think !
A full-time draw seems likely. Both Liverpool and Tottenham will be in danger if they lose.
Bet a coin that the battle of midfield will be won by Tottenham thanks to Dembélé especially. And you will see mané and coutinho help wijnaldum, Henderson, can because those three players are not good to provide enough scoring opportunities. And if the three midfielders that i quoted, have an impact in the game, it will be all about luck to be realistic!
Liverpool have a very good record at home and are unbeaten against teams currently in the top half. They've beaten City, Arsenal, Chelsea in the league and Spurs in the league cup. However, Liverpool recently seem to have lost their edge and their goals have dried up. Their recent form is far from impressive (D3, L2). Even with Mane and Matip both available to Liverpool, and Rose out, Spurs should go into this match with some confidence. Probably a 1-1 draw but hopefully Spurs can snatch a rare win at Anfield: 1-0 or 2-1 to Spurs Both Spurs and Liverpool seem to have gotten a lot of penalties this season and it's not unusual for this fixture to feature an own goal. In recent years when Spurs have won it's often due to a stunning strike from a left back (e.g. Danny Rose, Erik Edman, Benoît Assou-Ekotto)... so please step up Ben Davies.
