Team News
Stoke
Crystal Palace
- Ramadan Sobhi is back from Africa Cup of Nations duty with Egypt but this fixture may come too soon for him here. Jack Butland, Geoff Cameron and Stephen Ireland are also ruled out.
- Mark Hughes will hope to have Xherdan Shaqiri and Jonathen Walters back available this weekend, but he may only recover one in time. Glen Johnson missed the 1-0 defeat to West Brom last time out and remains a doubt here.
- Saido Berahino has come off the bench in both of Stoke's last two matches and the January arrival will be eyeing a full debut when they welcome Crystal Palace this season.
- Sam Allardyce will demand a strong performance from Crystal Palace this weekend after they were thrashed 4-0 by relegation rivals Sunderland at home last time out. It remains to be seen whether the Palace manager will make wholesale changes or not.
- Scott Dann is ruled out after picking up an injury in the damaging defeat, while Yohan Cabaye faces a race to recover in time for the trip to Stoke on Saturday. Luka Milivojevic wasn't given international clearance in time to face Sunderland but should be free to make his debut this time around.
- Jeffrey Schlupp missed out altogether at the weekend but Allardyce will hope to have the January arrival fit for the trip to Stoke. Mamadou Sako was an unused substitute at the weekend but should make his debut here irrespective of Dann's fitness.
Well done to Big Sam Allardicci for somehow managing to make Palace even worse. No one thought that was even possible.
