We should've had a penalty before we even scored our first goal, not sure how that was missed. Xhaka was stupid for diving in but that was no less soft a sending off than Francis' for Bournemouth against us. Koscielny was offside for what was to be our penalty but we deserved to win based on the whole game's play so Burnley fans can't really complain.
@Overmars- I would definitely go back to putting Alexis in the 9. Giroud's scoring run was good but we looked more dangerous when we played Sanchez through the middle imo. Perez and Walcott either side of him would be good since all 3 of the front line players could chop and change positions making it hard for people to man mark.
@SteveHyland 100% agree! I'm hanging out for that attacking trio to be given a go. I think It's been painful watching Sanchez and Iwobi flank Giroud. Giroud really needs natural crossing wingers like Ox and Ozil to target his aerial strength. The big Frenchman has had limited to no service from the flanks from Sanchez and Iwobi. No the right combo in my opinion.
Xhaka is good player. But I just don't trust him. He's put the team in tight corners up to 3 occasions already this season. Silly mistakes, clumsy tackles, needless cards.
@KlaasJanHuntelaar MArney had a serious knee injury, had to be taken off with a stretcher, unlike in the Man U game, no discernible reason why they should have had 5 minutes.
The penalty was clear but the Arsenal player was offside when Alexis gave the assistance. Cameras showed it clearly in the replay. So the result is unfair, it should've been a draw.
Good guess from the Referee. It was a clear red card. Referee showed a yellow card and that means he wasn't sure. Had he seen the incident, he would shown a red card.
@sarigginsUSA- Coming from a Liverpool fan that is the irony of all ironies. Never won the premier league, botched it so dramatically in 2013/14 and lost just yesterday, at home, to a relegation battler. Lol
Xhaka is the key to Arsenal. If Wenger and other players are giving him more space, wining its not a problem. Also he must be more creative and must push forward more. Playing double passes with Iwobi or Sanchez and moving forward its more effective than giving all the time passes and staying static. He runs a lot on deffensive play and he is the king there but, he can do that also froward.
@Overmars- For swearing. Even though Barton is a Charlie Uniform November Tango, you aren't allowed to say it. I didn't see what you replied to my comment below Albgunn's before it was deleted, so not sure why that was deleted.
I still believe that Arsenal should return to the tactics that worked so well earlier in the season - Sanchez up front. It was dynamic and quick and made hard for opposing defenders to prevent us from creating chances. Giroud stats shows that he is more effective in the last quarter of the game and that makes him a more effective sub. I would go for Cech, Bellerin. Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Xhaka, Ramsey, Ozil, Iwobi, Lucas, Sanchez.
@Valor- I wasn't a fan of Alexis in the 9 to start with but he grew into the role and it made us a hell of a lot more unpredictable to defend against versus when we play with Giroud in the 9. There is a school of thought which says start Giroud at home because teams sit deeper, thus making space in behind sparse, but I liked the interchange among the front 3 with Alexis in the 9 and Iwobi & Walcott either side. I think Walcott's injuries have also put a doubt into Wenger's mind. He was excellent at the start of the season. Maybe if he was 100% and playing every game, Arsene would be more willing to start Alexis in the middle?
Presumably Bellerin will be back. Koscielny came through unscathed against Swansea and as far as I know, we don't have any other injury doubts so we should line up as so: Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Ramsey, Xhaka, Iwobi, Oezil, Alexis, Giroud. I've been impressed by Burnley's home form but they have been diabolical away from home (even though their last 2 results in terms of score line have been respectable) so I expect a fairly comfortable win. 3-0.
@albgunn- As I explained to you before, but you clearly didn't bother reading the reply, his name is spelled either "Özil" or "Oezil". Writing it as "Ozil" is incorrect, as it changes the way the name is pronounced. The German Ö and O have different sounds. The umlauts (the diaeresis above the O) make that letter sound as an "er" not an "o". In the age of the internet, there really is no excuse for being ignorant.

@SteveHyland I'd drop Giroud for the next match vs Southampton and start Lucas.

Great to see Welbeck back, at long last. Last time it was overshadowed by some theatrics.
Xhaka is good player. But I just don't trust him. He's put the team in tight corners up to 3 occasions already this season. Silly mistakes, clumsy tackles, needless cards.
@Valor Mentally he seems very rash. Needs more discipline. Love his technical ability and long passes.
8 min extra time??
@KlaasJanHuntelaar MArney had a serious knee injury, had to be taken off with a stretcher, unlike in the Man U game, no discernible reason why they should have had 5 minutes.
@What4 hhhhhhhhhhhhh I love you man
@KlaasJanHuntelaar yeah, because of Marney's injury
@Nemeth @What4 - oh now that makes sense, i was wondering because i didn't watch the game
Özil with his 4 th assist of the season...
The penalty was clear but the Arsenal player was offside when Alexis gave the assistance. Cameras showed it clearly in the replay. So the result is unfair, it should've been a draw.
@dib unfair? the tackle on Mustafi should have resulted in a penalty, so our win is fair
@dib Mustafi should have had a penalty as well, and the red was harsh. So the result is fair.
@dib who cares. 3 crucial points.
Good guess from the Referee. It was a clear red card. Referee showed a yellow card and that means he wasn't sure. Had he seen the incident, he would shown a red card.
there is justice
never bet on epl matches. never...
Typical Arsenal. Botching it up when it matters so that they only ever finish top 4. lmfao
@sarigginsUSA- Coming from a Liverpool fan that is the irony of all ironies. Never won the premier league, botched it so dramatically in 2013/14 and lost just yesterday, at home, to a relegation battler. Lol
@sarigginsUSA You were saying?
there was not red card
@A.r.m.e.n if it were Marcos Rojo it wouldn't be for sure
iwobi will score

@Rout403 He is a defensive midfielder...Wenger too said that he is better in defending than in attack....
@abhi8 Thats what I'm saying, Wenger must ''unleash'' him, or he will burnout like today.
Anything Burnley King Joey Barton can do?
Arsenal to win this 2.0 or 3.0
1st half draw
remember swansea. 1-1
@degenerate The team we beat 4-0 away from home?
2-1 or 3-2 but Arsenal easy win
@koziol.mutant 2-1? 3-2? It's not 'easy' ;)
COYG!
Arsenal 2-0 Burnley And someone deleted my comments slagging Joey Barton.

@SteveHyland I dont understand why you keep spelling Ozil's name Oezil? is it some sort of self-satisfaction? very weird!

@SteveHyland- 2 people have down voted a fact! Ha ha. Got to love this site.
@SteveHyland- 5 people have now downvoted a fact. Why are they so many idiots on here?
@SteveHyland- Ha, with a typo. I meant *there. Evidently, I'm included. :-p
3-0
@afx agreed. Giroud off the bench and score a hat trick.
