Match summery : " Dortmund created a high number of chances relative to their possession ... " . What is that supposed to mean ? Dortmund had 74% possession of the ball ! How many chances are " a high number " relative to that extreme possession ?
@neumi17- Well, I suppose WS have based it on Dortmund's average number of shots per percentage of possession prior to this game (14.1333r spg/60.2666r% possession). If so, you'd expect them to take circa 17 shots from having 74% of the ball, but they actually took 23. I agree, in general, you would expect a team to have 20+ efforts from having three quarters of the ball but relative to Dortmund, it would be lower based on averages.
@CirdomAkul- Respectfully, nowhere near for me. (Brazilian) Ronaldo is/was the best player I've seen aged 19, including Messi (2nd). Bergkamp was also a rung above Dembele. He was only pace away from being as good as Ronaldo, but it is a significant difference at the top level, unfortunately for Dennis. Patrick Kluivert was also considered top class at 18/19. Raul completes my top 5 19-year olds. I agree with Neumi17, Goetze was also an all-round better (more mature in footballing terms) than Dembele and actually Rooney was too (isn't now though! Ha). I never saw Pele, Maradona, Eusebio, Cruyff, Platini etc at that age, obviously. Most top level players seem to be so around the age of 23/24 so it's a surprise to see somebody so developed as Dembele this young for sure.
@CirdomAkul His move had nothing to do with his personal downfall. He failed at Bayern because he could no longer win dribbles and create magic moments. Instead he turned to a completely different playerand lost all of his previous strength. I have never seen a player in my life that got so much worse from 19 to 23,24 as Götze did ...
@neumi17 I think his move had everything to do with his personal downfall. Very few players are capable of adapting to every environment, systems and dynamics and Gotze is not one of them. He was unlucky with the injuries as well.
@CirdomAkul He didn`t fail because he didn`t fit into the system or couldn`t adapt. He failed because Bayern had thought they bought the Götze who would play as he did in Dortmund from 2010- 2013. Fast, dynamic, very good in dribbling and creating chances through individuall skill. Instead they became a slow, immobile player, who could no longer win dribbles or create chances. So where was he supposed to play if he is too slow for the wings, not creative enough in OM and not as good in front of the goal as Müller or Lewandowski ? It is his fault, not Bayerns ...
Look how he plays today for Dortmund. Too slow to run into spaces or take on opponentsand too easy to get the ball dispossessed, he has to go for only safe passes back to the defenders and controling the game rather than inspiring it...
@neumi17- I agree he has lost his abilities but disagree it was his fault. He had an injury during the summer where he was transferred from Dortmund to Bayern. A 3 month layoff. Given the drastic decline he suffered, I'd hazard a guess it was during this time which something physically major happened which took away the dynamism from his game. Maybe the healing wasn't optimal etc? Most of his skillset was kind of connected/related to his acceleration. Without it, he couldn't dribble past the first player or take that one-step movement into space in order to create a chance. He still has the brain (you still have that at age 80) but I just don't think his body does what he is telling it to any more. Playing deeper will help and of course playing regularly will bring out the inspired performances once he starts to enjoy playing again. He will probably never be world class though.
@neumi17 I'm not saying you're wrong but that's a very big issue for young players to adapt to certain things. Some players can't adapt to every conditions therefore they can't fulfill their potentials.
Dortmund scored last 6 games. Augsburg If eaten goal at the away No Draw 4/4. Dortmund undefreat at the home 7/7. So Dortmund win . Total goal 2,5 under last 6 Augsburg matches. So prediction 1-0 or 2-0.

Dortmund so awkward team....
After Messi, Dembele is the best player I've ever seen at his age.

@CirdomAkul I thought Götze was pretty good with 19. Unfortunately he lost 50 % of his abilities and 75% of his speed and agility.
@neumi17 He made a bad choice. His move to Bayern was at the wrong time.
