Oh and for those who think Ronaldo isn't an issue, take away his 7 league penalties this season (6 scored) and he has needed 9.1666 shots per goal. But he also creates chances you say? He has created an average of just 0.85 per game. The only word for that is pathetic. This is supposed to be the best player in the world. Yes, football is about more than the countable stats and Ronaldo just being on the pitch alters opposition team tactics, but he is given FAR too much responsibility to produce that little. I would like to see a front 3 of Vazquez, Morata and Asensio play a run of games against lesser opposition. Morata's shots per goals ratio is an astonishing 4.625 (5.5 is world class); Vazquez makes 1.36 key passes per game; Asensio's creativity is similar to Ronaldo (0.86 chances/game) while scoring a goal every 5 shots. Give the penalty taking duties to Morata, he hasn't missed in his professional career. The issues are the front 3 and Zidane's tactics, not the midfield 3 imo.
@SteveHyland Ronaldo has been more damage than good for Real Madrid. He doesn't press well enough. He doesn't want to defend. The first line of defense is the attacking line and their team has no first line of defense with the likes of Ronaldo. He can't create nothing on his own.
Not sure why people want Kroos out of the midfield when he is the best CM in the world at dictating play and that is exactly why Real bought him. That is also ignoring the fact he has created the 3rd most chances in La Liga this season among midfielders (4th overall) despite playing the deepest of the 3 (Viera for Las Palmas & P.Leon of Eibar are 1 & 2). It is not a fluke he has a pass success rate of 92% despite making the 5th most total accurate passes and having an average pass length of 20m. Nobody has made more successful passes at the same (or higher) percentage with as long (or longer) an average pass length. He and Casemiro are irreplaceable for the jobs they do. Modric (1.333 chances per game) also creates more than Isco (1.2 chances per game) & is more consistent than James. If there is an issue with defensive duties then that is Zidane's fault for not drumming it into them where they have to be and when. Kroos is not a natural defender and shouldn't actually be defending!
@SteveHyland Kroos is perfect for possession football. There is no doubt about his quality but he lacks tactical intelligence off the ball. Midfielders have got to defend. Kroos is a set piece specialist and his corners and set pieces are perfect. He is outstanding on the ball but he lacks tactical intelligence off the ball. He is very good in pressing but he is awful at covering crucial spaces.
@CirdomAkul- Real Madrid are the most efficient team in the league at creating chances per percentage of possession (346 chances created from 54% possession on average compared to Barcelona's 313 from 60% and Atletico's 252 from 50%) and Kroos has 58 of those (the most in the team by 30 chances over Carvajal). Get him defending or moving his position too much and you take away not only your biggest provider but also the man who is the get out of trouble option. You will suddenly need to increase the amount of the ball you have in order to create the same number of chances. Fans seems to want players to be able to do everything but I haven't seen a CM who doesn't have a big weakness. In most teams, you have other players who can compensate for defensive weaknesses so the midfield as a whole isn't weak but in Madrid, largely because Zidane doesn't have a clue defensively, you don't.
@SteveHyland When you say that Zidane doesn't have a clue defensively, I have nothing to say. You clearly don't know Real Madrid well enough. It's not all about the tactics in Real Madrid.
So because Real win without Ronaldo he should be taken out of the line up? I can never understand kids these days and the way they reason.
take out Kroos and Marcelo and probably James and tell me who has assisted more than Ronaldo in the last two seasons.
use ur brains for once. the problem isn't Ronaldo the problem is having modric and Kroos and casemiro doing the same defensive job in the same game. it's no coincidence that when ever James or isco starts the games are always high scoring.
real can't ever play without a no 10 because bale, and benzema can't create chances. even when Ronaldo creates chances for the rest they end up fluffing it. little wonder he always wants to score them himself because in truth no one is as efficient as Ronaldo not even your Messi!
@jefferee Efficient? Ronaldo has one of the worst shots/goal scored ratio in the league ! And he doesn't create many chances for others either. Only because of his insane rate to take shots on goal he got a decent amount of goals.
@jefferee The problem is with the attack. Approximately, 80 percent of Real Madrid's attacking strength is due to their midfielders and their full backs. Real's attacking line is not in Real Madrid's level. Real Madrid needs to revolutionize their attacking line. Benzema and ROnaldo can't press. They don't participate in defending. Ronaldo has been just a goal scorer, nothing more. Bear in mind that football is a team game not an individual game.
@CirdomAkul the problem is with the midfield not the attack. the midfield is responsible for allowing the full backs do all the attacking and still doesn't cover up for them. For all of modric's quality he doesn't have up to 4 assists this season. for all of kroos' quality just 9 assists which is almost on par with eriksen on 10. isco who is a bench player has 5 assists and 5 goals which is a very wonderful stat if u consider it. Zidane keeps yearning about balance but still doesn't have the mind to execute it. it's clear that modric case and Kroos are detrimental to the forwards but zizou keeps on playing them
@jefferee I entirely disagree. Real Madrid's attack is too static and they can't create any chances on their own. They don't defend and they can't press. ROnaldo performs 10 games in a season and the rest of the games he is below average and that's simply not good enough in Real Madrid. The same can be said regarding of Benzema. Kroos takes all the corners and set pieces and his assists are just normal. He is the set piece specialist and he deserves credit but not that much. Check how many assists he has got from open play. Kroos is outstanding on the ball but he lacks tactical intelligence off the ball. He is perfect for possession football. Other than that, he's got so many flaws. You and I view football very differently.
@jefferee even Marcelo will be more reasonable as he will have a player to link with him instead of cutting many
spaces to just deliver a cross leaving vast areas behind,then Ramos won't be asked to cover the space behind Marcelo himself for a whole match like always,not to mention that Isco,James or Asensio will contribute defensively,these guys really won't to prove themselves and are ready to run and cover spaces not just stand and watch the game like Kroos.
today for example Asensio had 3 tackles,Kroos didn't have 3 tackles in his last 3 games combined!!!
i'm telling u again,Kroos is a serious fucking cancer and if we let Isco out for Kroos,this will be so stupid.Isco is a real talent in 8 position.
@jefferee i've been saying this for ages and all i got was dislikes,Kroos shouldn't start on Isco.our main problem is the midfield,we have 3 quality playmakers like James,Isco and Asensio one of them must start not Kroos and use Modric and Casemiro more with the defence,introducing a playmaker into the lineup will give balance to the team,modric can take control of our depth instead of asking him to cut so much space with the ball just to deliver it,this gets him tired,while with someone like Isco there,he would be asked to deliver him the ball,moreover it will give him another option to pass forward instead of passing wide for Kroos,gaining us 2 or 3 vital seconds on the build.Case also would have the task of covering Marcelo instead of running like a mad dog covering Carva as Modric is so exhausted to cover him,covering Marcelo as Kroos is a lazy cunt who just stand there passing wide instead of doing actual playmaker or a true 8 rule,the guys is a cancer in the midfield.
that 4th goal is why i dont like james, if the ball is where he wants it, he will make magical play, he should have just kicked it when he got it instead of make a blooper, when he doesnt get the ball where he wants, he will waste it, its impossible to always get the ball where you want it in open play, karim missed to great chances last game that could of been the difference between a tie and a win. on the contrary asensio did a great job
@NuchalLine yeah, when he wants too work hard, get in top shape. but the minute he gains a few kg he is out of shape and cant score.. he had not scored since jan, what top forward goes 2 months without scoring a league goal?
@Boeree the stats show that barcelona gets alot more penalty than real madrid or anyone, only difference is that messi cant scored them and ronaldo cant missed them.
@Boeree well according to transfermarkt, cr has score 94 and missed 18, in cl 11 to 3 in liga 58 to 9 and copa 3 to 0, while messi is 70 scored to 18 missed, in cl 10 to 3, in liga 43 to 8 and copa 3 to 5.. yes i love stats.
@edemex tbh messi did not miss any pens this season and ronaldo missed 1 but we get your point.however i do want to say real madrid do look better than they did the past few games.prolly just a coincidence ronaldo is not here
Eibar is a great team the only thing I can say is these players are sending a message to the coach that they don't need Ronaldo anymore for them to win
where has this karim been all year long, oh wait.. eibar is not that good, i want to see this vs a top team, like sevilla, villarreal, etc. notice how the defense its much better? why, cause marcelo is not standing on the pitch just watching players run by him and create dangerous plays, and ramos has to cover for him, leaving the center shorthanded
@CirdomAkul i dont think he is much of a lb, he gets dribbled alot, he looses alot of balls (one game he lost the ball 20 times, you know how hard that is) and he is generally the last one to get back to his position, something that carvajal does not do, yet dani does as much attacking.
At Real you always seen other players shine when Ronaldo isn't playing. That's because when he is playing the team is always built around helping him and no-one else.
@jefferee No, managers setting up the team always to help Ronaldo score rather than help the team win is the problem. Why do you think he takes all the freekicks even though Bale is better at them?
No ronaldo, no bale, Eibar win or draw double chance is a decent one even with small stake . Not saying Madrid can't win, they have to but eibar at home can be backed this time from a betting perspective
I doubt if this admin considers line ups while predicting matches. you predicted Vasquez and modric as well as casemiro to start the game
but in the end predicted a 2-2 draw for Madrid.
if Eibar scores twice in that game, I'll not comment here again.
Eibar has been really great this season. This is a very tough match for Real Madrid. It is a must win game for them and failing to win in here could have disastrous consequences for them in both competitions. Real has been mentally fragile and they need to improve in a lot of aspects. Zidane has to change something.
@CirdomAkul your assessment is very good, this might be Zidane's true test... I'm a Barca fan, but I have no doubt that, even without ronaldo/bale/morata, Real can make the difference, it's just a matter of how the coach prepares the team mentally
Oh and for those who think Ronaldo isn't an issue, take away his 7 league penalties this season (6 scored) and he has needed 9.1666 shots per goal. But he also creates chances you say? @NuchalLine yeah, when he wants too work hard, get in top shape. but the minute he gains a few kg he is out of shape and cant score.. he had not scored since jan, what top forward goes 2 months without scoring a league goal?
@NuchalLine once in a year
Real Madrid is so much better without Penaldo. Time for him to leave.
@Boeree the stats show that barcelona gets alot more penalty than real madrid or anyone, only difference is that messi cant scored them and ronaldo cant missed them.
@edemex actually in his entire career Penaldo has missed 21 penalties, while Messi only 20. You wanted stats, here are you stats. Deal with it
@Boeree well according to transfermarkt, cr has score 94 and missed 18, in cl 11 to 3 in liga 58 to 9 and copa 3 to 0, while messi is 70 scored to 18 missed, in cl 10 to 3, in liga 43 to 8 and copa 3 to 5.. yes i love stats.
@edemex Well, last year Ronaldo missed 6 penalties.
@MrNemobody thats interesting, because he took 9 and scored 6..
@edemex tbh messi did not miss any pens this season and ronaldo missed 1 but we get your point.however i do want to say real madrid do look better than they did the past few games.prolly just a coincidence ronaldo is not here
@loli you need to get a better feed that give you details as to why things are working and why they arent.
@Boeree nice try messi
Eibar is a great team the only thing I can say is these players are sending a message to the coach that they don't need Ronaldo anymore for them to win

@edemex I don't think it's all Marcelo's fault. He is virtually playing LB and LW at the same time. He is literally squeezed in every game.
@CirdomAkul i dont think he is much of a lb, he gets dribbled alot, he looses alot of balls (one game he lost the ball 20 times, you know how hard that is) and he is generally the last one to get back to his position, something that carvajal does not do, yet dani does as much attacking.
Loooool game hasn't even started and Real Madrid are 3 goals up. haters whr are you?

@jefferee No, managers setting up the team always to help Ronaldo score rather than help the team win is the problem. Why do you think he takes all the freekicks even though Bale is better at them?
Eibar will outplay the whole game only to be robbed by a last minute penalty
@adddaaaammmmm bla bla bla just a typical hater
@loli At least thats what happened the last two games...
dont worry real madrid very easy win
come on eibar ... las palmas nearly snatched a win vs real madrid ..real wre lucky to have been awarded a penalty
@shahsalman yeah, and really lucky to have been stripped of a regular goal.
BTTS
Penaldo has a new name: P1/7= Penaldo that has won only one league in 7 years.
RM defense not looking so good but they finding ways to win or draw X2
No ronaldo, no bale, Eibar win or draw double chance is a decent one even with small stake . Not saying Madrid can't win, they have to but eibar at home can be backed this time from a betting perspective
Bale,Ronaldo and Morata out of squad for this game.
@Turan and Carvajal.
I doubt if this admin considers line ups while predicting matches. you predicted Vasquez and modric as well as casemiro to start the game but in the end predicted a 2-2 draw for Madrid. if Eibar scores twice in that game, I'll not comment here again.

Eibar to win, Pedro Leon MotM.
@AndreyNosatii Easily. Real Madrid is in a bad shape.
@blitz i think madrid have to much quality for them
@blitz at worse a draw
@loli Yes, Real has a better side, but Eibar has been playing some brilliant football. If they show up tomorrow, Real Madrid is in trouble.
