Team News
Pacos de Ferreira
Rio Ave
- Goalkeeper Defendi is fit again fit but is likely to remain on the bench due to Felgueira's solid perfomance last weekend.
- Carlos Pinto should use the same eleven that comfortably beat Vitoria FC 4-1 on Saturday. Welthon is in great form and will lead the line, supported by Valente, Osei and Porto loanee Ivo Rodrigues.
- Guedes and Gil Dias impressed last weekend with 9.1 and 8.9 ratings respectively against Sporting. The attackers will be hoping to continue their form when they face Paços.
- The side, much like Paços's, should remain untouched from last weeks affair, with the added bonus of Heldon, an option from the bench.
In firsrt Pacos goal assist had Welthon, not Osie.
Really interesting game. I find Rio Ave overall stronger but with the right strategy Paços can do a really good game. With a three man midfield, a playmaker and two mobile forwards, Paços could recover balls in the midfield, quickly link to the forwards and catch Rio Ave of guard. But, of course, they need to be at their best to beat an organized squad like Rio Ave.
