There's been some really strange criticism of Jenkinson. The guy has just come back from a very serious injury, I think you need to give him some time, you noddies.
Cavani really saved our bacon in these two games, we could have lost quite heavily. Top quality performance from the refs, just as you would expect from the Germans.
I didn't like the tactics after we went 2-1 up. I can understand starting conservatively, sitting back allowing PSG possession and waiting for mistakes because a 0-0 draw suited us. Once we scored the 2nd though, a draw was no good. The period from going a goal down to a goal up was excellent. We had the majority of that ball- overtook their match total possession stats, had them penned in and it looked more likely we'd get a 3rd than they would score a 2nd. Then.... we sat back again. I think we gave them far too much respect. Their big chances came largely when we were inviting pressure (and chasing the game at 2-2 of course, when the match descended into kitchen sink football). The performance was akin to a 2nd leg of a knockout tie where any draw would see us through. Not a good mind-set. As it is, with Real and Bayern likely finishing 2nd, it wasn't paramount we topped the group. Whoever we get will be prove a tough opponent.
@neumi17- There would at least be some solace in that they have beaten all the big teams before. The potential of going out to Monaco again is the one which makes me break out in cold sweats.
I think this will be a cracking football match where both teams have qualified but will play for the top spot, whatever the outcome there'll not be any bad blood in the end. I hope the referee wont spoil the game! Saw Clattenburg refereeing the Sevilla vs Juventus game! He had a stinker. Two Juve players tripped one another in the opposition box and he gave Juve a penalty! Salut
Is Cech unavailable or something? Why am I not seeing him feature in predicted lineups? Disclaimer; I don't follow Arsenal so I'm not up to date with their team news, I apologise.
@TheRedCard Ospina for CL Group matches at least and Cech in EPL matches. Perfect so far and Wenger wont change this at least in the group stages. Read about your team! ;)
There's no sense playing Alexis if he's not fully fit which he probably isn't. He always wants to play every possible minute and that could prove to be a problem for him. If Wenger wants to risk him, he could be used as a late substitute if needed, not more. Arsenal haven't really been in their best form a draw would be good result from this. Giroud could start and two of Iwobi, Ox and Ramsey will start in wide position, if Wenger picks defensive approach Ramsey will likely get a nod. I hope di Maria will start, PSG always looks better with him as any team would. Ben Arfa and Pastore could offer similar threat but I'm not sure if either of them is considered to start. Could be anything between 0-0, 1-0, 1-1 or 0-1 but I really don't know anything as you've probably noticed :D
Really want arsenal to win as usual but am doubtful after the man u performance. However Xhaka can make a difference in midfield but we really struggle without cazorla. Would like to see Iwobi and the Ox playing with sanchez and giroud/ozil depending on who plays CF...
Team prediction (NOT the one I would pick): Ospina, Jenkinson, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Xhaka, Ramsey, Oezil, Iwobi, Giroud. Let's see how many I get right.
@Valor- After his weekend performance, I'd rather YOU played. Lol. Unfortunately Wenger never sees Aaron's bad points, only his good of which there are many, but he really needs to be in form to warrant a first XI performance unlike a player such as Mesut or Santi who can produce a piece of magic despite playing badly. The team I WANT out, assuming Alexis and Theo are injured: Ospina, Jenkinson, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Xhaka, Chamberlain, Oezil, Iwobi, Giroud. I'd be confident in that team not losing at least.
@SteveHyland I think Giroud will get a chance in this one, so: Ospina, Jenkinson, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Xhaka, Walcott, Ozil, Sanchez, Giroud.
@zhakypdx- My thinking was that both Walcott and Alexis are injured. The way Alexis played in the 2nd half against Utd suggests he is and Walcott seems to be struggling too. We shall see. Hopefully both are fit because I definitely prefer your team.
I would take a 0-0 draw but I don't see it with 2 attacking teams so I'll go with 2-1 Arsenal. A 1-1 draw would be ok because we have a 3-goal advantage but would prefer us to make the tie-breaking procedure a non-issue (in our favour).
Well, Arsenal are definitely in good shape, mainly at home. However, I can't say that Arsenal will surely win this match. Both of the teams have already advanced to the last 16... Arsenal won't force a win here, as they have much more important things to do in Premier League. Therefore I think, PSG will dominate this match, and they could end up in a draw again.

Barcelona in the next round confirmed.

@SteveHyland Gave them respect, or PSG are actually a good team?
Bored
Ok, no Bayern than but now the Brexit will come through Atletico...
@neumi17 More like Barcelona.
@What4 Yes,you are right .

gunners win
... Come on Sanchez... Don't bring Spanish League tactics of diving to Arsenal... Wouldn't even mind if we missed that penalty...
@ModRofl There WAS contact.
36th minute, rating Özil below 6.00 ! 5.9 as an midfielder ...
@neumi17 *a midfielder
@neumi17 Ludogorets merchant
Psg will win this game
Peg win
We all know it's our fate to meet Bayern in the next round, so let's just win this game and confirm it.
@What4 Bayern is probably the weakest opponent to get right now, so let it be. Was never easier to beat them as right now ...
draw or Arsenal 50-50 between these choices
Easy game for PSG. Coquelin, Jenquinson, or even Chamberlain are not Champion's League player at all.
1-2 PSG wins.
COYG show the Spudsters how it is done in the CL!
Please play Ox as a RB instead of Jenkinson! Had a cracker against United! :p
@albgunn Have you ever seen Oxlade-Chamberlain defending? Me neither.

Corbyn had a word at the home office. Now it's up to us to go out and win ;-)
All team have a goal - Yes. 1.61 in bet

@TheRedCard Ospina is the CL keeper.

Its going to be arsenal 1-0 believe me...good luck

Expecting Ozil and Sanchez to score a goal each, maybe Giroud/Xhaka could score a third. Cavani with away goal. Arsenal 3-1 PSG.

@SteveHyland I'm sorry I don't want to see Ramsey anywhere near the starting line up, after the weekend performance I'd rather the Ox plays.
