Celtic
Barcelona
- Kris Commons is back in training having been out injured for six months. He is well short of match fitness and won't feature here. Kieran Tierney has still not recovered from his ankle injury that has kept him sidelined for Celtic's last five matches in all competitions.
- Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi will return to the starting XI after missing their 0-0 draw against Malaga at the weekend through suspension and illness, respectively.
- Jeremy Mathieu returns from suspension but is injured and hasn't travelled with the squad, as is the case for Samuel Umtiti and Andres Iniesta.
- Rafinha and Andre Gomes are vying for a starting berth in the midfield three alongside Ivan Rakitic and Sergio Busquets.
fortunately, we have Messi and Neymar on our side. I wounder what can Barca do without these two!
@maxifoot really ur making it sound pichichi winner suarez doing nothing for this team.
How Roberto got that high a rating, I have no idea. Got roasted repeatedly down his flank.
@alexreg Barca need a good RB like Serge Aurier and put Roberto back in Midfield where he is much better than Gomes. Can't see why Barcelona bought him!
@alexreg dribbles of course. I agree, he got caught out way too many times defensively. Can't have that in the Clasico, Ronaldo will punish him.
messhi to the save
Barcelona play 4-1-2-3 now, Busquets is always isolated in midfield, it's frustrating to watch.
suarez today is playing like alcacer
BTS and Barcelona should win after selling in Manchester, 2-1 likely
Barca will do a professional job an gain 3 points, with the likes of messi an suarez coming back that alone will boost the rest of the team... I expect a 1-3 or a 0-2 to barca.
No draw and Celtic? Its a surprise today.
Barcelona u2.5 team goals.
barcelona are in a mini crisis. But that does not mean they are in a crisis hence the word mini-crisis. But I expect them to win. Just like any movie. The best of times comes right after the worst moment. So I think match will be the revival fc blaugrana. 1-4 the final scoreline in favour of barcelona.
2-4 Barcelona with an away win. Brace by Surez, Goal each by Neymar & Messi.
If celtic can replicate what man city did...they could pull an upset and win...but thatsunlikely...barca will be hungry..
11 to 34% possession (depending how you calculate) for Celtic and a 2-1 home win. Either that or 4-0 Barcelona. Flip a coin.
@SteveHyland Weird comment. First possession previews are useless...because they are almost absolute in matches that aren't balanced, like this one. Secondly because in terms of result is not like fliping a coin because surely Barcelona doesn't have 50% chances of winning even more after they lost against Manchester City last round, so it's very very very unlikely for them to lose twice in a row.
@hellreaper- You honestly couldn't have misunderstood the comment any more than you actually did.
@SteveHyland And I don't think you could've misunderstood what he said any more than you actually did.
@sarigginsUSA- Sorry, but there is no logic contained within your argument, even bad logic- which is the least I expect. The mere fact I could tell him he misunderstood my comment was proof I understood HIS comment. Given his was blatantly literal and mine (for those with an IQ in triple figures) clearly wasn't, where do you think the lack of comprehension took place? Or was this a comment to try to look smart? Because it worked a treat. ;-)
@hellreaper @hellreaper you make it sound like Barca are the gods of fooball!! of course they might lose twice in a row.. everything comes to an end.. there will come time barca will struggle to even qualify to Europe.. this is what great about football. the Scottish side is fueled against the Catalan.. I agree with the original post. Home side 2-1 to repeat the same score from 2013
1-2
1-3
Naturally, Celtic will be the outsiders against Barcelona, but It won't likely to be such an easy win for the Catalans as their latest fixture. I'm almost sure Celtic will score as well, and it can be an exciting match.
@futballstar Celtic will be crippled as usual, but it's up to Barcelona's finishing.
