Team News

Monaco
Tottenham
  • Leonardo Jardim has a full squad to select from ahead of the welcome of Tottenham, with the exception of Joao Moutinho who is lacking match fitness.
  • He therefore could opt for Fabinho and Tiemoue Bakayoko in the middle of the park.
  • Falcao should continue alongside Valere Germain in attack.
  • Mauricio Pochettino is again without injured trio Toby Alderweireld, Erik Lamela and Ben Davies.
  • Kieran Trippier could come in for Kyle Walker, who is being rested here, but Danny Rose is expected to start with he suspended for the weekend trip to Chelsea.
  • Heung-min Son, Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko could all feature after the former pair featured from the bench against West Ham.

Prediction

  • Monaco are favourites to secure all three points in this one and currently top the group with eight points from four games. They inflicted defeat upon Spurs in the opening gameweek of the competition and have what it takes to earn another victory.
  • Spurs ended their seven-game winless run with a 3-2 win over West Ham on Saturday, which will have boosted morale coming into this must-win fixture. They have, though, failed to win their last five on their travels and will be up against it in France.
  • Jardim's side have what it takes to inflict back-to-back defeats upon Tottenham.

  • spuds are good

  • The general run of play went how I expected (Spurs dominating but being countered easily down the wings) but I didn't expect them to have so few shots. I thought they would have 6 or 7 on target at least- but miss most of them. I got the score correct but realistically this should've been a 4 or 5-1 Monaco win.

  • 3 pen for spurs in thier last 3 games

  • worst player on the pitch: failcow

  • @Terry- He was useless, but it's a close call with Dier. I suppose Dier not being in his regular position gives it to El Fallar.

  • 48', 52', 53'. Wow!

  • Well played team got victory. No wondering... Look at the shooting counts. Monaco did well but Spurs didn't.

  • This Tottenham team doesn't deserve Lloris.

  • 1 shot with 65% possesion. that's rather pathetic you Spuds

  • If i was Jordim i will put Gilik to the bench all the season. First fault with Kane , but so stupid an other worse who give a penalty. Very not professional and so stupid

  • I think if Tottenham fight hard and strong like they are in the premier league then I think they cud win this one because they r in need of a win if they r to qualify for the next stage in the Champions league

  • @Chelsea4Ever No, not really ...

  • GG, 1

  • Spurs have conceded 8 in 12 Premier League games and 3 in 4 CL games. Monaco got dominated at WHL (36% possession, 2 shots on target only in a fortunate 2-1 win). I think Monaco will struggle to beat Spurs

  • 1

  • At least 2-0 for Monaco. May get worse since they have beaten CSKA Moscow 3-0.

  • I'll be surprised if Spurs get a win but a draw is possible. At the moment, they are playing like rabbits-in-headlights despite knowing the game-plan of every single team in their group. They need a similar dominant performance like they had in the reverse fixture but with the necessity of taking their chances. I will go with another 2-1 Monaco win.

  • Monaco wins 1-0 correct score.

  • home win

  • 2-1

  • 2-0, easily.
