Upsets all around today. Real Madrid were booted out of their cup tie just like Liverpool. I think it's surprising to see these less famous teams perform like this, especially in leagues notorious for not being competitive like the Prem and La Liga. The Prem has an 8 point difference between the first and second place teams--it made me think this game would be one-sided. But I was surprised by how even the teams were. It wasn't a really great game, but it did have tension.
@_WL_ LOL. No, no it isn't. Since 2006, the same three teams have won the Prem. Oh, and Leicester, the ones who don't fit the norm.
2016/2017 (Chelsea already,, barring a miracle) -
2015/2016 Leicester -
2014/2015 Chelsea -
2013/2014 Manchester City -
2012/2013 Manchester United -
2011/2012 Manchester City -
2010/2011 Manchester United -
2009/2010 Chelsea -
2008/2009 Manchester United -
2007/2008 Manchester United -
2006/2007 Manchester United -
2005/2006 Chelsea -
No more competitive than Italy, France, or Spain.
Coutinho will shine especially with Firmino back in form. With Southampton's essentially makeshift defense with the loss of van Dijk to injury and Fonte to West Ham, Liverpool could score any number of goals. Without Boufal, Southampton's offense will also suffer. I'm predicting a 5-0 win here.
Emre Can could be the mini rooney for all we know. Able to play many position but master of none. Rather he is average. Rooney on the other hand super star moments and those were lot but emre can all hype but no deliverance. Better sign someone else. Sell him. Henderson is better than him as dm. Wijnaldum and Lalalna alot better than him central midfield. He is not even great defender. You try him him left back since there is all the talk moreno not good enough(I think otherwise, maybe he is not managed by a suitable coach). Heck Germany uses can rb and leverkusen used him as lb occassionally. The only great thing I heard when he came to the picture when he scored that wonder goal for Die Mannschaft u-17. He will be forever like rooney highly versatile player but only alot less spectacular.
am a lfc fan but seriously liverpool has a problem against soton.. they fail to find the net mostly but virgil is out fonte the same so i xpect kloop to up the game here with a 3-1 win...
That was Southampton's 2nd team vs Liverpool's 1st team. Hahahaha, well done.

@vfx_superstar the prem is competitive

@sarigginsUSA Maybe Barcelona dodged a bullet not going all out to snag Coutinho...
@sarigginsUSA I'm predicting you're wrong
@sarigginsUSA I don't expect Firmino to stay in form to be honest, because he's out wide again.
best to avoid this match leicester city and liverpool 2 teams to avoid in premier league both have been unpredictable this season
@RemyLebeu "Unpredictable" = 4th place?
@sarigginsUSA you were saying, exactly like I said unpredictable Nuff said.

@Ffaris don't ever compare. rooney at emre's age was world already world class. can't say thesame for emre.
@Ffaris awful comparison. don't ever compare a mediocre Emre Can to a man who has won 5 Premier League titles and scored 250+ goals in his career.
And where is copa del Rey match preview? Starting to hate whoscored now.
@NuchalLine nothing new about their biasness. Even their gold star rating is absurd. Nuff said.
No van Dijk-no party) LFC must win) YNWA

@innocent70 lel
Jangan bercanda lagi mainnya, musiim ini wajib sapu bersih FA n EFL. LFC 2-0 Soton
@hendra.ridwansyah English please
Southampton will pick a full strength team for this. Puel has already said that the FA Cup team will be a second string.
1-0 and Liverpool win in extra time
The Saints play Arsenal in the FA Cup 3 days after this match. Will be interesting to see how they use their squad.
@Overmars Liverpool play too, but with Wolves
