  • Real Madrid and Napoli are not football mates. Italian fans let that sink!

  • I've said it before but I really like Madrid's midfield, it has a bit of everything. They don't smother possession like other teams (And have actually only once had more than 60% of the ball in La Liga this season, that being their last game against Osasuna, 61%) but they are by far the most efficient at creating chances from limited possession. 276 from 54% of the ball compared to 267 from 59% by Barcelona (using them as a direct comparison because only because they are in the same league, obviously). PSG did well last night but that was aided by Barcelona's performance so I don't see past a Bayern v Madrid final (draws permitting). Madrid would only have 30-35% of the ball in that game but could create more than enough. Whenever a team can create tonnes despite not having much of the ball, it worries possession-football teams because their largest weapon can be nullified. Madrid's efficiency is down to their midfield even though the individual stats go to the front 3.

  • @SteveHyland Good point. For me, Real Madrid has the best midfield line in the world. If Real Madrid has had a better attack, they would be unstoppable.

  • i still remember the days when people would argue w me that illarramendi was better than casemiro. boy were they wrong, for casemiro the bigger the game the better he plays, illarra does the opp, he does great vs bad teams and disappear vs big teams. anyways the trio of modric, casemiro and kroos just gave this youngster from napoli a class of how to take over a game. diawara actually play well, i used to be a fan of hamsik when he was younger but he disappears on to many games and thats why is will never take his game to the next level.

  • @edemex Don't diss Hamsik, he will be Napoli's next saviour

  • Napoli will win, Insigne for 6 goals and the Ballon'Dor over Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo

  • @Chinnie012 lol

  • napoli gave too much space to RM , very poor !!!

  • @cowboy1921 Sad! Totally unfair.

  • typical kroos just passing the ball into the net

  • Real Madrid should've scored at least 6 goals but they wasted a lot of clear chances. Napoli at times play the best one touch football I've ever seen and they attack really good but their defense is clearly not good enough to withstand high pressures as i said earlier.

  • @CirdomAkul i have to watch the game again but yes, they wasted good chances but so did napoli.

  • omg ronaldo with the 4 dribbles

  • @mahmoudnory Honestly, I don't know why people put so much stock in dribbles. Is it because Whoscored gives you a higher score for it? His game has evolved since United, he's inverted now, he doesn't really NEED to dribble, although its a really good tool at beating defenders, he just cuts inside or waits in the box. Nothing really wrong with that imo tho.

  • @mahmoudnory Thats unbelievable, his highest number in 4, 5 years. Didn´t think I would ever see that again ...

  • @neumi17 no!! wtf are you talking about??

  • @neumi17 yeah 5 dribbles

  • Benzema is the best

  • @Lechiffre10 disclaimer: when he is hot, but when he is not, he is as cold as ice.

  • @Lechiffre10 When ? It is not 2011 ...

  • c'mon zidane, you are facing a extremely fast team and you put the slowest player on the team and may i add, a lazy defender in james.. not a good combination.

  • @edemex to think that had zidane been allowed to get the players he wanted.. man, just imagine if james was out and hazard or pogba was here.. they would be have even more points, the winning streak would still be alive. flo needs to stop protecting his pretty boy james. he had one great year, now is time to get a top player

  • Grandee NAPOLE iam JUVEE fan But iam with NAPOLE with my heart. Go on.

  • Navas xD hahah

  • Navas didn't touch a ball but he already in 2nd minute has 6.4

  • @Halamodric well, not any more

  • Navas didn't touch a ball but he already has 6.4 Wtf?

  • @Halamodric And how come Ronaldo has 8.4 with one assist and Thiago Alcantara who scored twice in the other game has only 8.9?

  • If Napoli wins here today, I'll stop going to school..they won't even get a draw!

  • Let's not be too bullish about Napoli's chances -- RM are still the favorites in this tie. I'm hoping for a Napoli win, tie or a narrow loss with an away goal. 2-2. Forza Napoli.

  • My heart tells me Real Madrid.... But the Odds is telling me Napoli ! Thank-you Mertens......

  • 2-0 Napoli

  • 2-1

  • Napoli is a really dangerous team, they can score or even win it at Bernabeu. We need stick back to 4-3-3 and one thing for sure Real Madrid will not lose 4-0

  • 3-1 for real madrid!

  • @BenA_A nice predict bro

  • Win for real 3 - 1

  • Win or draw for Napoli, they will surprise with their fantstic four (Callejon-Mertens-Insigne-Hamsik), especially Callejon with Mertens.

  • @AndreyNosatii You talk about them as they are like MSN and that really surprises me.

  • @CirdomAkul You'll see. what I mean.

  • I have just one Question for you all. CAN NAPOLI SCORE REAL MADRID?

  • @WackyJ1 After 8 minutes to be exact ...

  • @WackyJ1 Why wouldn't they?

  • @WackyJ1 of course it can.

  • LOOOOL WHOSCORE 2-2 I HATE REAL MADRID BUT EASY WIN IN HOME

  • @Alizzz Thanks for not being delusional. Most people here are confusing their wishes with reality.

  • 2:0

  • Whoscored predicting a 2:2 at Baranbeu? this score will very likely put through Napoli! Im not Real Madrid fan but Real are the holding Champions of this competition?

  • @albgunn Yes, but the prediction is about this year. And this season they don't look convincing, like so many other big clubs...

  • 100% real madriud winner

  • 4-1 for madrid with benzema and cr7 scoring 2 each

  • @vikasjoshi9617 keep dreaming.

  • @AndreyNosatii anyone dreams this score for rm but ur Barca can't. Haha

  • Real Madrid already showed to have some problems beating teams in champions league this season and it happened at home too...Real Madrid 2-2 Dortmund...Real Madrid 2-1 Sporting (with so much luck) so it migh happen again too...I don't think Napoli can win, because that's very odd to happen in Santiago Bernabeu. Normally when a favorite team playing at home gets a bad result, it ends as draw...I still think Real Madrid will win this match anyway but Napoli might score too and make it kind of funny in the 2nd leg. Maybe Real Madrid 3-1 Napoli.

  • Since C.Ronaldo moved to Real, UEFA has given Real Madrid the easy ties in the round of 16 and the round 8 every single season. Even Blatter admitted UEFA uses heated balls to help Real. There was only one fixture in these eight years that Real was drawn against a good team, Man United, in the the round of 8 or 16, and in that game Real was losing and looking terrible until suddenly the corrupt Turkish ref gave Nani a red card for something that was probably not even a foul, surely not even a yellow card. There is no way UEFA would allow Napoli to win this tie; Real will get a penalty or Napoli will get a red card if Napoli is playing well.

  • @1974cruyff What about Bayern (5-0 avg), Atletico de Madrid?

  • To eliminate the european giants, a team has to be resilient enough and for me Napoli is not resilient enough to eliminate Real Madrid. Napoli plays with fluidity and excellent mobility. Their first touch football at times is outstanding. They have kept a clean sheet for 7 matches in Serie A and only one game in UCL. It would be best for them to play their own game because they don't know how to play defensively. For me, Real Madrid has the best defense and midfield lines in europe and they play very well in those departments but they lack mobility and aggression in attack especially in the absence of Bale. I don't see Real Madrid scoring more than 2 or maybe 3. . Positional awareness and concentration are the most important factors for Real Madrid in this game. It'll be very important for Real Madrid to not concede in this match.

  • @CirdomAkul Real have exceptional talents but not well organised and concede cheap goals most of the time, a bit casual play from them.

  • Hope for a 2-2

  • Real will win,but very difficult.2-1 and return leg 1-1.

  • Just a reminder for all those who see Real Madrid losing (not even drawing) against such a weak team : In the CL, Real Madrid rarely lose a match at home, it's on the average not more than ONE a year (and even those one a year are most of the times losses where return matches where Real Madrid won the away match and played with sufficiency, as in Schalke 0-2, 3-4), Real Madrid don't lose more than one home match every two years in the CL when the aggregate score in the beginning of the match is a draw or loss for Real.

  • Here is Real Madrid home records after group stage in the last 3 years. Wolfsburg (win) Bayern (win) City (win) Atlético Madrid (win) Juventus(draw) Roma(win) Schalke(Win) Dortmund (win) Schalke(loss) BUT AFTER winning the away game 0-2, and qualifyfing oc. Good luck for Napoli, they will need it.

  • Again, downvote as much as you want, the final score doesn't depend on your downvote. Beat Atalanta and Palermo first and then think of beating Real Madrid.

  • Real Madrid will win by two goals or more, mark my words, Italian Teams are all weak EXCEPT Juventus. You can downvote all you want, Napoli is the most hyped team of the year, like Dortmund was last year. They are playing Real Madrid, not Atalanta (oups, forgot they even lost against Atalanta lol ) Easy game for Real Madrid.

  • @Sleviiiiin Like i said, two goals or more.

  • Forza Italian teams

  • 2-1 real madrid - napoli to win in second leg through big names like mertens and hamsik

  • napoli will make a surprise for real madrid. napoli playing very good football lately. 2-2 or 0-1 will be my prediction. Thanks and good luck

  • @supernova7 Yes, they will surprise Real Madrid by losing with some humiliating score, like Roma ALWAYS surprised Europe by humiliation after humiliation in the CL

  • Real 1-3 Napoli. Hey, I could be wildly wrong. Gotta be bold in life sometimes. If that's how it goes, I'd expect a big Zizou backlash focused, rightly or wrongly, on his faith in Benzema.

  • @dSquib This Real Madrid, not Atalanta. Oups, forgot Napoli even lost against Atalanta LOL.

  • set pieces will make the difference

  • Seems more likely that Allan and Diawara will play over Zielinski and Jorginho.

  • @dSquib I agree. Their first priority will be not to concede too many goals. We'll have to see though.

  • @CirdomAkul they've generally gone with Allan in games where they aren't expected to have 60%+ possession, most recently away at Milan

  • Home wins

  • 3-1 Forza Napoli Ghoulam to score

  • @Jacob05 This Real Madrid, not Atalanta or Palermo. Oups, forgot Napoli couldn't even manage to beat the two (Palermo for fuck sake haha, they play like a third division Romanian team)

  • 2-0 Real Madrid.

  • Predictions: 3-1/2-1

  • Real Madrid 2-2 Napoli

  • Forza Napoli

  • being a Juve fan, I still would like to see Napoli trounce the Blancos.

  • I hate Napoli but they're really good team who can beat us

  • No they can't. They can't even beat Palermo.

  • It will be a high scoring game...

  • Can bale be back?

  • @NuchalLine He won't be playing against Napoli but He might be available for espaneyol!

  • Napoli plays great football but I don't think their defense is good enough to withstand Real Madrid's pressure.

  • @CirdomAkul Albiol was a madrid reject

  • As usual

  • @Babykimoo lol wut
