Obviously UEFA will keep drawing Leicester with the weakest team left, and keep milking this to the very end. So expect Leicester v. Dortmund/Monaco/Man City in the next round.
Does anybody get the feeling that if this were a fixture in the Europa league, Sevilla would've won 6-1 on aggregate having played excellent football? Sampaoli may've damaged his Barcelona chances with this display. I'm a fan of his but it was as though he has never seen Leicester play.
@SteveHyland Nope. Leicester confused them. Every manager does his homework. Don't disrespect Leicester. No offence mate, but Leicester are the opposite of your team arsenal. Leicester rise to the occasion and get better under pressure. Arsenal bottle it under pressure
@Ideas- Confused? They did what they do every match- Sit back, defend (well and) in numbers then look to counter to fashion chances. They have 2 commanding CBs and a quick counter-attack so Sampaoli's tactics of chipping it into the box every 2 seconds and allowing tonnes of space for Leicester to counter into reeks of lack of preparation to me. Incidentally, we beat Leicester both times last season so they clearly didn't rise to the pressure in those 2 games...
Boy did Sevilla suck... If any team didn't deserve to advance than Sevilla. They did everything wrong, where completely clueless what to do and wasted a penalty in a shamefull maner. The only thing Leicester is good in is defending high balls. The only thing Sevilla is really bad in are...high balls ! What did they do? Right, they were firing high balls, long balls and crosses at Leicester.
No matter how limited Leicester played, Sevilla was still much worse. What a pathetic performance...
@neumi17 I understand the point of your post. Sevilla just pumped it long at the end with too much of an overload. They pushed too many men forward and not enough build up
I know Sevilla are not in form but still they were much better than in-form Leicester. Sevilla surly deserved to win. Also that was a disgusting behavior by Vardy. really unfair game in overall
@edemex you need to fix your brain . Sampaoli is wanted by Barca and few other big clubs and they are not stupid . I gave you the reasons earlier and you agreed with most of it but today you are doing hoo hah again . I'm a Madrid fan in la ligament but unlike you I'm not a biased one . Period
@edemex , I should really ignore you now . Go and check your comment there . It's a shame that Madrid has maniacs like you . Support your team , not the stupid decision by the manager . Zidane may leave tomorrow but Madrid will be there
@footballover all you do is come here an insult others just cause they dont agree w you, you called youself "lover". but in reality you are just a sad little man sitting behind a screen insulting other because you dont have what it takes to say that in front of them.. you CLAIM i agree with you that sampaoli was better coach than zidane, well here is what i wrote on the las palmas games "@footballover he got criticize by many the last CL final for the changes he did and how they didnt work... until they did. you are speaking on the moment, when real madrid was on that huge winning streak who was crazy enough to say sampaoli was better? pls you just cant win with a player like karim up front, he is ether on or off, when he is on, he is among the best but when he is off he is also among the worse, couple games ago he barely touch the ball 15 times in the whole game" i dont know where you get off that i agree, everything zidane has done has turn into gold. the CL, the winning streak, etc
@edemex , you are the one feeling insulted , grow up kid . You sound like one of those blind fans who seem to support everything the manager does and then starts hating that manager when he's sacked . I'm sure you will criticise zidane when he's fired . My statement about him came after his frustrating tactics that cost the team losing points against las palmas , if Ramos didn't score in the last moment , they would drop points against real betis too. But there's no point saying all these to biased people, all they want to hear is fake praise
@footballover there you go again assuming things. if you must know, i never like carlo since the 1st day he was hired not was i a fan of pelle or benitez. you said i agree with you and i just proved you i never did and fail to acknowledge the fact that you are wrong. and from reading the other comments you have made all you like to do is insult other, i dont know why i even bother, you just talk out of your other end.. you dont have a single thing that is worth enough for my time
@edemex , I have seen you insulting and mocking other fans enough , anyway I don't care about it, just stick to your biased opinion rather than dragging others into it
Can you imagine all the noise from the EPL bashers if say the 15th placed team in La Liga and Bundesliga comfortably beat the 3rd best team in either of these leagues?
@excalibur you are just playing with numbers. That was a very emotional game,a pleasure to watch for the Leicester and neutral fans. 15th placed teams are not playing in the CL. If you want some real numbers - take the stats between English and Spanish teams for the certain period of time.
@tar88s- You mean the stats for the top 3 in La Liga. Part of the problem with the prem is that 95% of the top players are shared between the top 6 teams whereas in Spain it is the top 3. Makes a big difference. In any case, his point was that Liga trolls jump on every prem loss and say how "bad" of a league it is (despite a league being the sum of all the teams not the sum of the top 3, 4 or even 5), yet go quiet when a prem team advances, especially so in a situation like this.
@excalibur Sevilla has been in their worst form of their season and they failed to convert two penalties in both games and Leicester are arguably in their best form of their season and that explains a lot.
@CirdomAkul peiple want to believe certain things abt the prem's superiority. of course sevilla should have tied this up last time. they were certainly flat yesterday. it's unfortunate for them--some poor fortune
@CirdomAkul and now we're talking about yesteryear champions of English Premier League whom having their worst streak of games this season - they're fighting against relegation, they've had 3 games without their manager
the cinderella story of Roberto Di Matteo emerging here.
@Ideas They don't play any different or better at all, they just have more luck as before. Today they had a season low 30% possession at home, had hardly any chances and had a penalty against them yet they won 2-0 ! Two goals out of nowhere that weren't even real chances and a missed penalty on top of that. How lucky can you get? I didn't see them play worse football the weeks before...
Rubbish from Sampaoli . pure rubbish. you come into a game u don't need to win and start with three defenders. keeping ball possession is their biggest mistake in this game. bye bye Sevilla.
@jefferee It's stupid to blaim the coach. Sevilla didn't loose because of their tactics, they just weren't good enough today and luck wasn't on their side. Sevilla dominated the first leg but failed to killthe tie and paid for it. A lot can change in 20 days in football, Sevilla have been loosing their confidence and Leicester have started to perform again.
@Castle in the end the coach is to blame no matter how many excuses you make up for Sampaoli. the fact remains that he is to blame. fine they were unlucky but when you check the players that started the first leg and how many shots combined they took then compare to today's game, there is a big difference after all Leicester didn't change the way they played from two weeks ago neither did their line up change
@jefferee sometimes it is the coaches fault, usually hard as s coaches like samapoli are near impossible to please because you give it your 100% and he still is yelling, they are down he is yelling, they are winning he is yelling. at one point players get over it and will tune him out. sampaoli has only once lasted more than 2 season once. he was w chile for a long time but international play is much diff because you only play couple every couple months.
@footballover players receive instructions from their managers. so If things go wrong, manager is to blame. look at his substitutions and the impact they made. correa came on and had two shots one was on target. f.vasquez was kept on d bench , why?.....Sevilla play as a team but every team needs an outstanding individual and they don't have that yet
@0708915762 What? I don't support either team, i just wanted Leicester to win more than Sevilla. I'm a PSG fan, didn't stop supporting them after one loss either. Not everyone here is plastic like you
@libehv Does your comment serve a purpose? No. I think it would be funny as hell to see a bottom team the "weak" English League be a Champions League winner. That would shut all the pundits up. It would also embarrass Arsenal for not winning it before.
@libehv 3 teams get relegated every year why aren't you crying for them? And if they win the Champions League they'll be in next years Champions League and they'll get additional money from that. So think harder. You might find a genuine argument
@khonda I'm not crying, but there is a difference between hoping bad result for someone or hoping for a good result for their opponents - it's a moral question. Probably you understand my viewpoint.
I hope Leicester has enough stamina because the game they're playing currently is even exhausting to watch.
The Spaniards have not experienced this kind of game.
Sevilla don't necessary need to win tonight so 4-2-3-1 with Iborra and N'Zonzi at bottom of the midfield seems most probable option for Sevilla, although I'd like to see Vazquez play in alongside Nasri in 4-1-4-1 or even 3-5-2 (Ben Yedder partnering Jovetic) just for the interest. Leicester still have a chance to qualify but I'd like to see Sevilla in latter stages simply because I think they have far more to offer. They're very exiting team with very large squad and many good players but they rely on playing as a team instead of depending on individuals. Despite slipping lately and playing quite unfamiliar away fixture, routine performance should be enough for Sevilla tonight. 1-1 or 1-2.
Leicester 1-2 Sevilla
I only gave Leicester one goal because they're strong at home.
Sevilla last two games were against tough defensive opponents that didn't allow them too many shots at goal. in the first leg sevilla's four attackers had a combined 16 shots on goal. Leicester will generally allow sevilla to come at them and then play counter football. and against a team like sevilla that could backfire.
I loved Leicester last season, I loathe them this season! I know one think though, Jorge Sampauli is the manager that will take reins at Barcelona in a few months whilst the newly appointed Snakspeare of Leicester City will be dumped out of this competition for good! I dont think anyone will want to see Leicester in Europe after what they've done to Ranieri. The team should be be ashamed to walk on a football pitch!
Leicester are the underdogs but should sense a real opportunity to pull off a major upset on Tuesday night.
How will they pull off an upset by playing 1-1?
@jefferee Want me to explain that sentence? He means that Leicester might score first and hold the 1-0 for a long time OR that it will be 1-1 but with Sevilla holding on the draw not to get to extra-time. Also what the match is and what the final result is are different things.
Sevilla are in their worst form of their season but I'm expecting them to qualify for the next round. Leicester have got great results in their last games but experience really matters in this kind of game.
I think the Sevilla will suffer because they are tired, nonetheless they will have more chances to score goal. The question, are they able to score at least one or more goals?
@ksaviauk I hope you are right. But if you are right, Sampaoli was too careful in the last two matches in the LaLiga.
Nasri, N'Zonzi, Vitolo and Escudero, our best players are rested because they didn't played on saturday. ;)
This is the craziest CL in a while!
@MAN0 Wait, are you the same MAN0 from FH?
@sarigginsUSA I wasn't late at all in responding to this lol
@sarigginsUSA Yes.
Obviously UEFA will keep drawing Leicester with the weakest team left, and keep milking this to the very end. So expect Leicester v. Dortmund/Monaco/Man City in the next round.
@What4 I can't call Atletico weakest team...
Mmm, back-stabby
La doudecima is a NOOB.
Schmeichel saved a penalty in both legs. Apparently the first keeper to ever to save a penalty home and away a two legged CL knockout tie
Does anybody get the feeling that if this were a fixture in the Europa league, Sevilla would've won 6-1 on aggregate having played excellent football? Sampaoli may've damaged his Barcelona chances with this display. I'm a fan of his but it was as though he has never seen Leicester play.

@Ideas Which pressure? :)) Sevilla were non-existent... I could've sworn Nzonzi was gonna miss the penalty, he didn't look determined at all.
@SteveHyland Yes, thats what I thought too. This was not the Europa league Sevilla...
@maxifoot They deserved to win, why? Because they didn't find a way to be at least a little bit dangerous?
15th in PL vs 3rd in La Liga. Premier League is easily a more competitive and better league. Hhhhhhhhh
You mad La liga fans? Chat sh*t get banged
Kante was there
where is the guy that said the other day that sampaoli was better coach than zidane? LOL
Period
@footballover i never agreed.. get over yourself. you dont even know me to know if i am biased or not so dont assume.
@edemex , I should really ignore you now . Go and check your comment there . It's a shame that Madrid has maniacs like you . Support your team , not the stupid decision by the manager . Zidane may leave tomorrow but Madrid will be there

@footballover stfu!
@jefferee , who's talking to you moron ?
@footballover I can't stand stupid comments. you think copa America is UCL?
Can you imagine all the noise from the EPL bashers if say the 15th placed team in La Liga and Bundesliga comfortably beat the 3rd best team in either of these leagues?

@CirdomAkul Sounds like excuses to me.
The 15th placed team in the "overrated' EPL easily sweeping aside the 3rd best team in La Liga, lol. La Liga - Barcelona and Madrid, nothing more.
@excalibur "easily sweeping aside" - you're channeling donald trump with that blatant overstatement
@excalibur *PL champs
is it just me or this Leicester new boss is lucky. first three games in charge all home games and were all won with two goal difference. Amazing....
@jefferee The players are more comfortable playing the tactics that brought they success.
@Ideas They don't play any different or better at all, they just have more luck as before. I'm supporting Leicester as an underdog, but wth was that red card, Vardy acts like he got shot after being pushed a bit
@JRS He bought it, but Nasri still lead with his head. That's as easy yellow as they come.
@JRS Hahaa,after they've scored 2 goals...
@0708915762 What? I don't support either team, i just wanted Leicester to win more than Sevilla. I'm a PSG fan, didn't stop supporting them after one loss either. Not everyone here is plastic like you
@JRS Leicester was the less pathetic team of two bad ones. So you are right, they deserved to advance after Sevilla' s meltdown tonight.
@JRS Well, yellow for Nasri and yellow for Vardy, but unfortunately for the first one, he already had one yellow
I hope Leicester get relegated but win the Champions League. Imagine a Championship team in the Champions League.
@khonda Wah wah wah you damn cry baby.
@khonda does your hope serve you a purpose? You must be a really great person
@libehv Does your comment serve a purpose? No. I think it would be funny as hell to see a bottom team the "weak" English League be a Champions League winner. That would shut all the pundits up. It would also embarrass Arsenal for not winning it before.
@khonda but getting relegated means missed revenues, you're a self centred person - for your enjoyment only.
@libehv As if epl teams care about that, they get enough Chinese-, Russian-,... money.
@taktiko as others do not - read emirates and you'll have a clue.
@libehv Emirates is a sponsor not an owner... get a clue.
@libehv 3 teams get relegated every year why aren't you crying for them? And if they win the Champions League they'll be in next years Champions League and they'll get additional money from that. So think harder. You might find a genuine argument

@khonda thinking give some people headaches so they prefer otherwise
I hope Leicester has enough stamina because the game they're playing currently is even exhausting to watch. The Spaniards have not experienced this kind of game.
@libehv Tell that to Atletico, Athletic Bilbao or Deportivo Alaves.
Doesn't matter which team goes through, they won't survive another round.
both teams to score 100%
@RemyLebeu you got 50% right
Sevilla has not lost an away games in ucl this season and they also havent conceded an away goal
@ksaviauk Finally they concede.Dwelling on Histories,histories,histories doesnt help. How many times will I talk about this?
lul so many vote for Leicester.
Sevilla don't necessary need to win tonight so 4-2-3-1 with Iborra and N'Zonzi at bottom of the midfield seems most probable option for Sevilla, although I'd like to see Vazquez play in alongside Nasri in 4-1-4-1 or even 3-5-2 (Ben Yedder partnering Jovetic) just for the interest. sevilla will qualify and when iam sure of something i talk about it ...leicester dream will stops tonight and sevilla to the next round
@delpiero1100 -- No one should ever listen to you.
@delpiero1100 wrong again
@delpiero1100 lol
Leicester win 2-1 or 3-1. and gona be in the best of 8
I loved Leicester last season, I loathe them this season! I know one think though, Jorge Sampauli is the manager that will take reins at Barcelona in a few months whilst the newly appointed Snakspeare of Leicester City will be dumped out of this competition for good! >2.5. BTTS.
I think Sevilla will win and then control the match by playing keep ball possession football.
Leicester WILL WIN VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY EASY
Sevilla to go through @ 1.28
Leicester will win 2-0
@sarigginsUSA Did you put any money on that?
@maxwelljg Too young
Leicester are the underdogs but should sense a real opportunity to pull off a major upset on Tuesday night. How will they pull off an upset by playing 1-1?
