1-1. You might smell goals, but these sides control well and Man City like to control the football. The head to head records between the two sides suggest this will be a low scorer more than anything else. Which goes against natural logic, but I think it's the case as both sides like a control and pressure the opponent. Guardiola isn't one to be naive enough to get destroyed on the counter attack by Klopp I don't think.
@Champion- Leicester, Everton and Chelsea (arguably twice) destroyed City on the counter last season and even Arsenal in the first half at the Etihad countered well. I predicted too early (believing Kompany was ok). Without him in the City defence, I would be surprised if Liverpool now fail to win.
@SteveHyland The thing with Liverpool compared to those 3 teams is that Liverpool's pace has to scare Pep pre-game and I'd expect him to want to keep it tight against a side like that. Chelsea's win was very lucky, Man City were extremely wasteful playing very open football and threw that game away. They should have been out of sight in that game before half time. Man City beat Leicester at home last season 2-1 and drew with Everton 1-1 (and missed 2 penalties. I don't compare home with away. Man City are home here and drew 1-1 last season with Liverpool in a relatively tight match
City's defense don't seem that convincing, particularly with Kompany out. Danilo could bring some legs which is important against Mane and Salah, but that will hardly be enough against Liverpool who are the best big game team in the league. City also need to get better out of de Bruyene, he's been playing too deep and therefore hasn't get involved enough. 3-1 for Liverpool with Firmino and Mane on the score sheet.
I dont understand the hype about this Liverpool side. before they thrashed a sorry and inconsistent Arsenal they went to Watford and struggled to get a late equliaser. They are facing the League favorite and probably the most complete squad in EPL in City. facing likes of Aguero, David Silva, Bernardo, KDB, Mendy, Walker, Kompany, Sane. individually City have a much better squad and Pep is obviously a better tactician. Klopp's hugs wont make his players world class and by beating Arsenal no team should take courage. Arsenal are the most in-crisis team in top flight football right now. Unwanted manager, wrong tactics, inconsistent performances, unhappy changing room, key players in last year of their contracts. fans never been more divided than now. Liverpool 2 weeks ago simply took advantage of that! Liverpool are a bang average side and noway they are going to beat this City side at Etihad nor even get a draw!
@albgunn I guess you've been following football for a couple of weeks with knowledge like that! You question Liverpool for getting a draw away to Watford, how did City fair against Brighton and Bournemouth? They struggled. City may have the best squad in the league, but they are not playing like it and they clearly don't know their best team. I am quite confident Liverpool will get at least a draw.
@albgunn How clueless are you on a scale of 1 to 10? 30? Liverpool has City on toast almost every single they meet.
The moment Klopp arrived in Liverpool we have lost one game against top6 opposition. In the mean time City have stumbled time and again and looked completely out of their depth playing against the top teams in England. Now without Kompany tomorrow it will be a slaughter.
Great Kun! not egoistic or selfish, face to face to Mignolet, he chose to assist to Gabriel Jesus instead of shoot and score it..
Nice goals Leroy...
City Win
Liverpool would have won with Mane, lol
@arny.diaz.7 I wish the dislike button was still here.

mane is amazing. his passes and positioning. together with salah. salah must learn to score. man city debryna. wow..
Looks like Pep has gone with a back 5/3 as a tactical move to counter Liverpool's front three.

Liverpool win Salah score
They need coutinho
Porno 2
Oxlade-CHamberlain comes on for his debut 2-0 down with 10 men. Lol.
@Champion Whats even more concerning, he didn't win a single dribble ! He usually is between 4 and 7 dribbles a game...
mane is amazing. his passes and positioning. together with salah. salah must learn to score. man city debryna. wow..
Man City are going to run away with this now after the red card.
@Champion they were always going to run away with this
@DelJuve Liverpool could have been 1 up before Aguero's opener. Man City were all over the place defensively. And then the red card. So not really.
