I'm a big fan of Will Hughes. Anybody who watched the U21 Euros semi-final against Germany in the summer will have seen him look comfortably the most able player on the pitch. This no mean feat against Germany- though it was a German team with a lot of eligible U21 players missing for various reasons. Still, impressive nevertheless given the respective development quality of youngsters. Playing as a #10 or one behind the striker is ideal for him. It doesn't suit him playing deep. He can pass (particularly good at final ball passing), dribble, doesn't give the ball away too often and can even aid in defensive work. Hopefully he gets a run of starts in the team with this formation. He will have an outside chance of making the England WC squad if he starts 90% of Watford's league games because he has skills that only Jack Wilshere of all England eligible players have when playing in the 2 behind/side of the #9 (which England almost certainly will use as their stock formation in Russia).
@SteveHyland Will Huges played very well roaming as a right forward. He had license to go anywhere. I'm glad Whoscored realised where and how Richarlison and Hughes where playing. For a long time in the game they called it a 352 system with a flat midfield which surprised me (it was quite clearly 3421). I do think Hughes was helped by the fact Femenia had a cracking game, he really played out of his skin. Jack Wilshere is vastly overrated. Wilshere isn't good enough for England in any role. Hughes could be good enough for the squad.
@SebM_WUFC Yes. He played for them for a while. I think he was very reluctant to leave. But Marco Silva has managed to get some real coups in the transfer market. It would be a shame for the likes of Richarlison and Hughes if Silva went to Everton. But Silva has to look out for himself and his family at the end of the day.
Thank you whoscored, this template is much nicer. Now just swap around Noble and Obiang and we have the teams spot on. Noble is often dropping into left centre back or left back to cover. Obiang is central. Kouyate is bombing forward from right central mid. Noble is more discplined at left central mid.
@Champion Hart Doesn't seem all there you can tell he cares about football and he works hard but he hasn't really had a home since pep was hired we all know he is class i hope he returns to his previous form as a consistent shot stopper this season it seems to me we've seen flashes of quality but a lot of mistakes I agree. I believe he should be dropped for a game or too adrian is very capable but i doubt moyes will drop the previous undisputed england #1
@SebM_WUFC He is a poor keeper at the end of the day and very prone to errors. I agree that he should be dropped for Adrian. Adrian is a better keeper at the end of the day and you should pick your team on substance and not reputation. The error wasn't officially given until after the game. When I posted that I was wondering why there wasn't one against his name. I notice they are very reluctant to give errors against Forster too (Forster is a very poor keeper for this level, worse than Hart). So maybe it's an English keeper thing (trying not to give official errors against them that is)
Watford are playing 3421 with ball. Hughes roaming on inside right and Richarlison inside left and the wing backs push up. They defend in 5-2-3 or 5-4-1 shape also. You may as well adjust the template now it's half time.
@Champion Cleverley is on the right of the midfield 2, Doucoure left. In reality if you are going to bother with in depth stats you ought to get the template right lol
@SebM_WUFC I think Kouyate gets dropped. The other two are more disciplined for a 4231 system and are winning the ball back more than Kouyate on the stats. Noble's key passes per game and passing accuracy are much higher than the other two also. Noble + Obiang/Kouyate. I'd go with Obiang.
@Champion Richarlison also comes very wide left sometimes like the goal and Hughes wide right. Very clear front 3 or 2-1. The way the wing backs push high and Richarlison and Hughes tuck in a bit and have some license to roam I'm inclined to say 3-4-2-1 over 3-4-3
@Overmars- Good enough prediction. I would have expected West Ham to score as well given the layers would want to impress Moyes and Marco Silva is attacking, sometimes too much, at home.

@SteveHyland Hughes is an exiting young player didn't he play for derby county?

2nd Watford goal is a Joe Hart error. Keepers have to be saving that at this level.

@Champion Also, the middle 3 of west ham. Obiang is in the centre, noble left, kouyate right
@Champion i feel we could have put ayew on the RW marko on the left and put lanzini at AM im not sure who they would drop from the mid 3 though

0-0
4-0 win to Watford, against a weak strike force/Defense's West ham due to injuries.
@LoveSS Not too bad result, 2-0. More potential goal, different scorer to explore. Watford will be a top 10 team towards top 5 with more time.
X2
BTTS of course
with Watford looking to bounce back to winning ways and Moyes looking to make a point this ends with a draw with may goals likely a 2 - 2 draw
