Everton
- Arsenal completed a deadline day move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but their club-record signing has a fever and will need to be assessed before the weekend.
- Arsene Wenger has confirmed fellow January addition Henrikh Mkhitaryan will make his full debut against Everton after coming off the bench in midweek.
- Jack Wilshere missed Arsenal's shock 3-1 defeat to Swansea on Tuesday with illness but is expected to recover in time for this match, but Danny Welbeck is not ready.
- Seamus Coleman completed 90 minutes in a stunning return to first-team action in midweek but it would be a surprise if he managed to start two games in quick succession having just returned from a broken leg.
- Ashley Williams, Cenk Tosun, Jonjoe Kenny, Morgan Schneiderlin and Yannick Bolasie will all push for starting spots on Saturday. Eliaquim Mangala could debut after joining on loan from Manchester City on Wednesday.
- Leighton Baines, James McCarthy, Ramiro Funes Mori and Maarten Stekelenburg are all expected to miss out for the away side this weekend.
and Mangala? Please hahaha never showed his worth after his move to m.city. ridiculous that a team with everton's ambicion signs this guy, it shows a lack of football knowledge...
@Tico Possession game defenders can't defend very well. They are so used to bossing possession and territory where. The only defending they usually do involves a foot race whilst outnumbering the opposition centre forward 2 centre backs vs 1 plus a few aerial duels ...where the centre forward is so isolated it's practically irrelevant who wins the aerial duel. Mangala is therefore used to having an easy ride at Man City (where far too many sides park the bus with 1 centre forward instead of 2). It's a common theme throughout Europe that the top teams have centre backs that are good on the ball and fast, but aren't actually good at reading the game..so would struggle in a side that doesn't boss possession and territory. I'm not saying this is necessarily the case for Mangala, we will find out soon enough if it's the case. One game isn't enough to completely judge him on.
@Champion thank you for the Nice explanation. But i'm judging him for what i saw from him on the last 4 years. Never convinced me as a good defender nor as a good player on the ball. He makes too much mistakes and always looks uncomfortable. Holgate is younger and is much more composed on the ball. But i'm also making some personal judgment because i never liked his way of playing
Mourinho is one of the best coaches in Europe, though. Don't get me wrong I just don't like his treatment of certain players. But Wenger is probably the most rational mind in the PL. And he doesn't deserve the bashing he gets from all those 'Wenger out!' idiots whenever Arsenal happen to lose to the likes of Swansea or everyone else.
@bluelight62 Mourinho is very negative manager and creative players struggle under him. The best managers in the eyes of the sheep are the ones spending a fortune on fees plus wages...Managers like Mourinho, Guardiola would be in all sorts of bother if they managed any team in the bottom half or Burnley. Your mother would be setting the world alight as manager in this league if she spent as much on players as Mourinho...
@Champion "Mourinho is very negative manager and creative players struggle under him." - I think that's a philosophical problem of Mourinho's playing style/ game approach. I think football is like Star Wars nowadays. :) There is a good side and a bad side so to say. One that tries to create thinks and the other one tries to destroy stuff. I think they are both equally strong! Mourinho thinks football is a game of errors so his sides are defensive waiting for that error to happen and then strike viciously on the break or use set-pieces. While Guardiola is the opposite, create as many chances as possible using possession football. Mou really is the Darth Vader of Football. :) With a ton of Generals behind him. Look at the Swedish League, 16 Teams 2 or 3 trying to create things while the others play "Anti-Football" - That is what makes betting on this sport so tough. And it served the Swedish National Team well, kicking out Italy of the WC-Qually letting them taste their own medicine.
@Champion Mou won the champions league with Inter and porto
big sam is awful. a testament of at max a mid-table season. You can't trust a team with excellent attacking options to a so limited coach, terrible decision from Everton. hope they can sign Marco Silva Asap, so he can start shaping the team for the next season.
Keep this in mind, Aaron Ramsey: Three goals and one dribble will NEVER get you a 10 rating. Ten dribbles and zero goals would.
@BeautifulLoser Ignore the rating system on here. A defensive midfielder gets less credit for tackles than dribbles. That just about says everything we need to know. Keepers get no where near enough credit for stuff either when they have a storming game. I just look at advanced stats and ignore main rating
All the top rated players of the leagues are wingers or skillful dribblers. They should change this rating system
@Tico Miki got only one dribble as well and zero goals but also has a 9,9 rating.
@BeautifulLoser whodribbled
This is the Miki we know, not Miki mourinho created !
Wenger is a Legend! Look what Mourinho did to players like Miki or Schweinsteiger. Mou is the idiot, ManU is spending trillions for nothing with this guy. Wenger is down to earth and never will overpay in the transfer market. Miki + Auba = harmony.
Özil has nothing to do anymore.
sigs tosun on wtf
offside
what is this, long time Arsenal didn't score
@Patrikovic oh, just when I was writing.4-0.. Aubama for president !!
Arsenal 4-0
@nexus747 You wrote that after it was 2 -0. Not too hard to guess ..
Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Xhaka, Ramsey, Iwobi, Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Aubameyang

@oa17 bu nasıl bir kuyruk acısı amk tuson ne :D
cenk tuson very bad player niasse better than his.if niasse plays Everton can score goals with counterattacks. my prediction: 1-1
Everton been awful away from home and at Emirates its really a tough ground recently. Arsenal can win this game in many ways. Question remains how many will the defence and Cech let in? I’m going for 3/4:1 to Arsenal!
Really looking forward to this game, I've gone for 2-0 to Arsenal, but I wouldn't be surprised if Walcott scores for Everton against his old club. Also I don't know if Aubameyang will play & if he does, whether he'll adapt to the Premier League straight away.
I will certainly make a small bet on Everton just for shits and giggles. (+1.5) is ok
i'm thinking about both to score and home win. With Abu Arsenal can score easily, but i'm afraid of Everton goal... haven't seen lot of Everton matches this year, just few weaks ago when they played against Liverpool (1-1). What do you think guys, is it worth to try? (odds 2.76)
@kolnok I would go as far to say that Everton will win this if Coleman starts. He can be instrumental in attack and covers more ground than most defenders. If he comes off the bench I think you might be right. Arsenal losing two in a row unlikely but given Cech's frailty between the posts and the general lack of bottle on display (their new signings aren't exactly breaking the mould here either), Everton could trouble them with numerous long-range shots or low/fast passes into the box from Walcott.
@daveco7 Brilliant analysis.
MOTM..Alexis Sánchez!!! Wow!!
MOTM.. Oliver Giroud Ha Ha Ha ..!!
