Team News

Southampton
Liverpool
  • Charlie Austin is Mauricio Pellegrino's only injury concern ahead of Sunday's welcome of Liverpool.
  • Pellegrino could name the same XI the started the 3-2 win over West Brom last weekend.
  • Adam Lallana stepped up his return to fitness with the U23s in the week and while he was sent off in that game, he won't face a ban here.
  • Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Joe Gomez will not feature here, joining Nathaniel Clyne on the sidelines. Ragnar Klavan has trained, however.
  • Trent Alexander-Arnold will continue at right-back, while Georginio Wijnaldum may feature in midfield at James Milner's expense.

Prediction

  • Southampton secured a morale boosting 3-2 win over West Brom last weekend to end a 12-match winless run and open up a two-point gap between themselves and the relegation zone. They haven't won a home Premier League match since November, however, and the welcome of Liverpool will pose a tougher test than table footers West Brom.
  • Liverpool were twice pegged back by Tottenham on Sunday to settle for a 2-2 draw. The Reds have lost just one of their last 17 Premier League matches, that coming in a recent 1-0 defeat at Swansea and the trip to Southampton will be tough to navigate, even with the home side's poor form at St. Mary's.
  • That being said, the Reds have what it takes to land another three points in what promises to be an entertaining affair on the south coast.

  • @martinkamenarski Not at all but you need to know when you can bet on them, never make a bet on Liverpool facing a weaker team and when they play at home vs a big team go with all you have double chance because they don' lose , and about United away games vs weaker team go all in ,
