Team News

  • Illness kept Miguel Britos out of the team last weekend and the defender remains a doubt here.
  • Richarlison hasn't scored since November and was finally dropped from the starting XI last weekend. He may have to settle for a place on the bench once again this weekend.
  • Watford could be without up to eight players for the reception of Burnley on Saturday, leaving Javi Gracia with limited options if he wants to make changes.
  • Johann Berg Gudmundsson missed Burnley's 2-1 win over West Brom last weekend and remains a doubt here. Georges-Kévin Nkoudou could get another rare start as a result.
  • Burnley could be without up to five players for the trip to Watford and Sean Dyche may named an unchanged team, meaning Geoff Hendrick may have to settle for another game on the bench.
  • Chris Wood made it four goals in his last three matches last time out and will keep Sam Vokes on the bench again this weekend.

  • Watford are only outside the top-10 on goal differences and breaking into the top half of the table by the end of the season will be the aim for Javi Gracia. The Hornets are winless in three matches but unbeaten in their last six at Vicrage Road.
  • Burnley have won all three of their matches in March and can move to within two points of sixth place Arsenal before they play on Sunday with a win away to Watford. They have never won three away matches in a row in the Premier League.
  • Watford are unbeaten in their last four home matches with Burnley and will be confident of picking up at least a point on Saturday despite the fact there are 29 points between the sides in the standings.
