@neumi17 right, he was actually shooting on goal. But still I would count that as assist. Aubameyang gets +1 to his score for a simple tap-in after Yarmolenko did most of the job, and the latter gets nothing.
Man day by day Peter Bosz Borussia Dortmund started to look like Pep Guardiola Bayern Munich. Pure dominance. I love it. I hope he wouldn't be tactically inflexible like Pep was. I mean Bosz tactical inflexibility cost us the game against Tottenham Hotspur. Tuchel might not completely mastered Tiki Taka but he was tactically flexible. I have no doubt that Tuchel in due time would have become one the grand masters of Tiki Taka. But oh well I'm quite happy with Bosz at least he doesn't discriminate with players like Sahin and co. But I really like that Bosz would act naive against teams like tottenham. We really need a PLAN B.
@Ffaris It just comes to my mind again... Somewhere hidden in that blog are the best detailed analyses of CR7 and Messi I ever read, and I read lots of them...
@Ffaris I have the impression that Bosz is bringing back some of Klopp's elements into BVB tactics, namely a higher Gegen-Pressing. Since BVB are one of Europe's top sides they have to keep on working in their possession game anyway. So it's not surprising that they are constantly improving in this area. Bosz is less "juego de posicion"-oriented than Tuchel. Furthermore I think that Bosz is tactically "simpler", "straighter forward" than Tuchel. He sure is more relaxed in his psychological work with the players. Funny that you mention the lack of a "Plan B". He didn't have one with Ajax which wasn't very satisfying. Ajax was able to compete for the win of both Eredivisie and Europa League but the lack of more complex tactical solutions denied Ajax to bring the titles in.
@BeautifulLoser Yup I agree on Bosz bringing back Kloppo Gegen-Pressing. But it was also present on Tuchel Bvb but not as intense as Bosz or Kloppo was. Man, that offside Pulsic goa at Wembley was intense Gegen-Pressing at its best. Bvb were pressing Tottenham at their own penalty area and thanks to the stupid referee who gave it offside. So piss poor refreeing was also to blame for bvb 09 defeat.
I 100 % agree with you on how lack of Plan B cost Bosz Ajax important titles like Europa League.
Well, Mr. @BeautifulLoser where are you from? If you're from Dortmund or even Gelsenkirchen (lol) could you tell Mr. Bosz to develop Plan B for Bvb 09. No, I'm really serious about this request hahaha.
@Ffaris (2 of 2) The site offers plenty of excellent articles. And obviously there is also a detailed match analysis of Tottenham vs. BVB. The blog has a german section and an english section. In the german section there are some articles about BVB and the changes brought by Bosz. I live in Cologne, by the way. And before that I lived for 10 years in Rome.
@Ffaris (1 of 2) Of course there was pressing with Tuchel. You have to keep in mind that the Bundesliga has become a pressing league meaning that all teams use a very intense midfield pressing but only a few teams can afford to press as deep in the opposition's half as Klopp's Dortmund or Schmidt's Leverkusen did, and Hasenhüttl's Leipzig still do. Anyway, there are fundamental differences between Pressing and Gegen-Pressing that show themselves not only in depth or intensity. If you are interested in two good articles about the topic, just google the terms "tactical theory" and "gegenpressing" or "counterpressing" and "spielverlagerung" (the last term is the name of the blog). The articles are from AO "Pressing, Counterpressing, and Counterattacking" and from RM "Counter- or Gegenpressing". The first article was first published on Marti Perarnau's blog (he is basically Guardiola's biographer), while RM (René Maric) has become assistant coach at RB Salzburg.
Americans comparing Pulisic to Messi in 3, 2, 1...
@MrNemobody Who would compare the best player in the world with Messi? #Pulisicforballondor
Yarmolenko-assist though)
Why YARMOLENKO not have assist ???
@karzetso The ball got deflected of a defender before Aubameyang could score...
