Whoscored, the player position map is clearly a 3-1-4-2 or 3-1-4-1-1 as I told you. Pretty petty not to switch the system to the correct one. Winks was a clear anchor and Alli and Eriksen has license. It was very similar to Chelsea's recent use of this system (with Kante as the anchor)
@ilovefooty ERRRR YES you bitter. You have been made to look like a MAJOR CLOWN for your comments before Real Madrid about Winks. He's schooled Madrid twice and now Dortmund. He was the best player on the pitch tonight.
@MaxKho Artocious? HAHAHAHA. You really know NOTHING. He was a defensive midfield and his role was defending and ball retention. He played a near flawless game. He's MOTM on SpursWeb and tied MOTM on other review sites I just checked. I said he was MOTM right after the game. It must be upsetting to be here and know nothing about football and different roles different players have. His role wasn't to force it constantly forward. It was control. In this game Winks has 94% passing completion whilst only dispossessed once and a great defensive display. If he was playing for Liverpool last night they would have no doubt won. Henderson had something like 54% completion .
@ilovefooty I'll take my own opinion and opinion of review sites over you buddy. Right after the game I call him MOTM and SpursWeb , HITC etc are saying Winks ran the show and he did. It was a Kante-esque performance in a Chelsea type 3-1-4-2 system. Winks has slicker passing that Kante though.
Not really sure why you started with 4231, it was always going to be a back three. It looks like a 3142 to me. Winks the holding man. Alli left central midfield and Eriksen right central midfield. Son is roaming a bit and really playing deeper than Kane. I'd iit a 31411 but doubt that's even a template on your system.
@neumi17- Bosz being sacked would be the best thing for Dortmund. There is no permutation in his tactical playbook which will allow this Dortmund team to beat one as good as them without the latter playing badly. The problem is he came into Dortmund with a set gameplan "this is what I'm going to do!" without actually seeing if the players there can pull it off. Managers who have a set philosophy, and are perennially successful at this level, are typically those who are afforded the luxury of huge backing in the transfer market. Pep Guardiola's £298m NET transfer spend in 2 seasons at Man City as an example- and even then he had some players already there who can play in his system. Bosz doesn't have the stature to command a big transfer kitty so he needs to learn how to adapt his gameplan to fit the personnel. Nobody expects him to be Antonio Conte but his approach is naïve to say the least.
@koziol.mutant yeah I can imagine that fifa secretly tell's pocchetino to draw this match just so the last match of group stages will be more exciting in terms of who finishes 1st if madrid win today and tottenham draw today because madrid will be 10 points and tottenham 11 going into the last match. So in that case I will take your advice and avoid this match now to see if you are right.
Dortmund may not even make it to Europa League if they loose this one. Face-to-face they are equal with Apoel on all parameters - their fragile advantage is having scored two goals more than the Cypriots. Given that both teams loose their last two matches Apoel “only” have to cencede three goals less than Dortmund
Both teams have the weirdest form right now. But Dortmund's coach treats tactics like an option instead of a necessity. Even with the Spurs as unpredictable as earthquakes, I'll say they can win this.
Whoscored, the preview template for Spurs is also what I consider the team Spurs must use. They were garbage against Arsenal with the awful template. This template (in preview) is quite clearly the best team for Spurs. If Spurs use 3-4-2-1 then I expect BVB to win. If Spurs use Llorente over Kane I also predict BVB win. If Spurs use the template team I predict Spurs win. Depends on the line up.
Mathematically, Dortmund can still qualify for the knockout phases, so they should be up for this match, and given Spurs' record against big teams away from home, a Dortmund win isn't unlikely. On the flip side, Spurs have been fantastic in the Champions League whereas Dortmund have been shambolic so you would still back the away side. Also I've noticed that Spurs are very good at bouncing back after a defeat, like when they lost to United but bounced back to trounce Madrid. I think it comes down to whether Kane is fully fit; he is clearly their most important player
@ilovefooty The problem is, Dortmund aren't as good in real life as they are on paper. I expect Spurs to win this in a similar fashion to the first leg.
Spurs sides of old would crumble after the manner of defeat in the derby but I don't see it happening with this squad. Dortmund, on the other hand, look more fragile than the material used for iPhone screens. The last time they won a top flight game was at the end of September. Since then, they have drawn 3 & lost 5 against largely mediocre opposition. Pulisic is a concern but I read that Aubameyang is back in the fold. Given that even if Spurs lose this game and Madrid win, beating Nicosia at Wembley on the final matchday will see them win the group based on the head-to-head with Real, I would rest Kane & Alli, play a 3-5-2 with Llorente & Son up top with Eriksen, Winks & Dembele in a 3-man midfield. I think Dortmund will score and that the Westfalenstadion faithful will make it an intimidating atmosphere but I don't see Spurs losing. Need to wait til the lineups are announced but I don't see how Dortmund can outscore Tottenham with Peter Bosz's tactics.

So far, Lorente does less for Spurs than Janssen.
Excellent second goal for Spurs.
Another brilliant goal for Harry Kane. One season wonder: LOL!
Spurs need to bring back the Dembele-Dier pivot
@ilovefooty 4231 is good for them with Wanyama, but he's out.
@Champion Wanyama is good but remember the 2015/16 season
@ilovefooty Spurs play better with Winks rather than Dembele.
@Champion No lol
@ilovefooty 1-2. Keep mad.
@Champion ??? I predicted them to win
@ilovefooty ERRRR YES you bitter. You have been made to look like a MAJOR CLOWN for your comments before Real Madrid about Winks. He's schooled Madrid twice and now Dortmund. He was the best player on the pitch tonight.
@Champion He was atrocious tonight. Sidewards and backwards passing. That's it.
@MaxKho Artocious? HAHAHAHA. You really know NOTHING. He was a defensive midfield and his role was defending and ball retention. He played a near flawless game. @Champion Wrong again

@Champion Kane on the right Son on the left
Dortmund 1-2 Spurs. Being conservative.
@SteveHyland Shure, why not. But in that case Bosz will be history. I could imagine at least a draw here.
@neumi17- Bosz being sacked would be the best thing for Dortmund. don't bet on this match ......... lost of money
@abd0u why?

It will be under 3.5 goals...maybe 1-1 / 1-2TOT
Both to score
BvB 3 - 1 Spurs
BvB 3 - 1 Spurs
