I am guessing that the XI will look like so: CECH, DEBUCHY, ELNENY, HOLDING, NELSON, COQUELIN, NILES, da SILVA, WALCOTT, WILSHERE, GIROUD. Pretty much as hotchpotch a team you can get based on the Arsenal Europa League squad but with 3 CBs injured and Mertesacker (and hopefully Monreal & Kolasinac) rested, we know the back 7 was always going to be a make-shift one. Ospina didn't travel, apparently, and I don't see why Cech would travel but not start. I can see us dropping points here but a draw in the context of things wouldn't be a bad result. 1-1.
@SteveHyland Now let me say a few words as a RS fan from Belgrade. Except few minor injuries, we are ready for this game in full. Home ground is our greatest advantage because of huge support from the fans, plus a motive more because of our opponent reputation and strength. After some time, we finally play offensive football moving the ball fast in transitions, so I expect this to be a game where both teams score, but I can't predict more then that.
And one last thing, last time we met was 39 years ago in UEFA Cup. We won on the same stadium 1:0 and manage to draw in London 1:1. :)
@Khal- Were you disappointed in the setup from RS? I think looking back, your players will be disappointed they didn't give it a real go looking for a win. It should have been a draw, both teams would have taken that result, and the sending off was harsh although the visible bruising/swelling to Coquelin's eye/cheek area probably helped the ref give the 2nd yellow. With the Arsenal XI on show, particularly the defence, I was expecting Belgrade to really go for it in front of their home fans.
Arsenal classic goal. Wilshere will give significant contribute when he is fit, he can as well as sanchez
Giroud > Lacazette
Ready for mediocrity? Kick-off in mere minutes!
1-2
Arsenal to hammer the red stars 1 - 2 giroud to score
Best bet is BTTS
Arsenal will lose with this lineup.
Arsenal can not handle such high pressure games away from home, arsenal to loss or draw
Red Star to win? Also, it's Joshua Da Silva (Dasilva), not Silva.
Arsenal in for a suprise
