Serbia were wasteful. They had opportunities to score but fluffed their lines. Can't really argue with the result but they will look back thinking they should've made Brazil work a lot harder. Coutinho played very well, Casemiro was decent and Neymar looked sharp at times. Much better performance than against Costa Rica. Brazil will much prefer to play Mexico over Sweden because they attack. It's clear what the gameplan against Brazil should be but Mexico will not use it so I fully expect Brazil to progress to the QF.

I think Brazil will set up more like a 2-4-2-2 with silva and miranda staying deep, paulinho and casemiro protecting them, fagner and marcelo playing virtually as wide midfielders. Also, expect coutinho to do the creative play and willian to do all the hard work of feeding the balls into neymar and jesus. Neymar will play as a centre-forward just behind jesus or cutting in from the left. Serbia to win 3-1.

Brazil were excellent in the first half against Switzerland, mediocre in the second; poor in the first half against Costa Rica (not entirely their fault) and mediocre in the second. I'm fairly certain I know how they will play in the second half of this match but the first is a toss of a coin. Serbia were conservative against Switzerland so will likely be more-so here. I think this will be more of a slow forro than a samba but with Brazil ultimately winning, 1-0.
@SteveHyland unless Brazil takes a considerable advantage at half-time (which I doubt), they certainly can't afford to underperform in the 2nd half, seeing how qualification is not yet guaranteed; it's true that even a draw sees them through, but I don't think they've ever played for a draw, and it's particularly dangerous approach if you're not that kind of a team...especially versus a versatile and resilient Serbian team whose offence boast both force (Mitrovic) as well as technique (Milinkovic-Savic). I'm actually looking forward to a delightful encounter between two wary, yet at any moment snappy, teams.

mitrovic were great against switzerland until he started focusing on the referee but despite that, mitrovic's the man to keep an eye on
