@neumi17 It was for sure the worst match I've seen from Portugal, but we shall not forget it is a friendly match and in Russia I believe players like Bernardo Silva, Nani, Fábio Coentrão or Raphael Guerreiro and Rui Patrício will play. I am not so confident on this one, but I hope Ricardo Pereira, Gonçalo Paciência and maybe Ruben Dias will be part of the squad.
@neumi17 CR7 is the least efficient dribbler ever on this level of quality. For an in-depth analysis with stats and examples read the article on the site spielverlagerung dot de. It is written in German.
Van dijk is seen as overrated for the price but honestly i think he is underrated because he shows confidence every single second. It's a defender that i will try to avoid if i were a forward.
This is good. It's a big win for Netherlands and could give them same good morale boost from now on. It's also good for Portugal who needs to lose to rethink their strategy. Their win against Egypt masked some major flaws that without a loss wouldn't be questioned.
@Portuguy Yeah but this is also due to some key players being in bad form because haven't played much for their clubs, like: Adrien and André Silva, because of some other key players being injuried, I'm talking about Danilo Pereira, Pepe and Renato Sanches and also because this is a mixture of players who haven't played together, some of them won't even start and of course this was like a test for some of them and it's not the final selection of the squad. Players like the RB Ricardo Pereira (FC Porto) must be part of the final team, Nani will most likely join, etc..
@hellreaper you're right when you say that there are other stuff that influenced this. Portugal missed key players, this players have never played together (Rolando and Ronaldo in the starting eleven who played against Egypt) and suffering an early goal and two in counter-attacks gives the other team (the dutch here) the control of the match. But Netherlands is team in crisis (a great team though) and where also trying players. There were a lot of bad ideas today who need to be rethought (starting a game with 4 centre-midfielders?)
Portugal only won 2 dribbles in the entire game, the Netherlands only 5. That was a different kind of game.

Ronaldo with his worst performance of his career.
OH MY GOD this is the first time i see cr7 without a shot in a game

@modric97 De Ligt is an even bigger talent in the defense.

@Portuguy Except it is better to rethink a strategy without losing.
@BeautifulLoser It sure is. But Portugal 'somehow' beat Egypt and that didn't make them rethink strategy.
