Team News

Man City
Huddersfield
  • Danilo and Eliaquim Mangala are still sidelined for the home side, while they have now been joined by star man Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian will be out for 2-3 months.
  • Ilkay Gündogan should keep his place in midfield as a result of De Bruyne's injury, as David Silva still hasn't featured for Pep Guardiola's side and will lack match fitness.
  • Guardiola is contemplating replacing Sergio Aguero with Gabriel Jesus up front, while Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez compete for starting berths on the flanks.
  • John Stones and Aymeric Laporte have started both of City's games so far this season and should continue at the heart of their defence here.
  • Ben Hamer will retain his place in goal as Jonas Lössl is not quite ready to start for Huddersfield.
  • With Zanka ruled out for the Terriers with a muscle injury suffered in training, the away side may revert back to a four-man defence at the Etihad.
  • Jonathan Hogg requires a late fitness test for a slight hip problem, which means Philip Billing could keep his place in midfield.
  • Adama Diakhaby made his debut off the bench last weekend and will hope to start against the reigning Premier League champions.
  • Danny Williams, Juninho Bacuna, Isaac Mbenza and Erik Durm are all expected to miss out for the away side here.

Prediction

  • Manchester City followed up their Community Shield victory over Chelsea with an opening-weekend 2-0 win away to Arsenal. Pep Guardiola's side only managed a 0-0 draw in this fixture last season but did thump the Terriers 5-1 at home in the FA Cup last year. Expect a result closer to the latter than the former here.
  • Huddersfield were comprehensively beaten 3-0 by Chelsea on the opening-weekend and things will be more difficult on Sunday when they travel to the Etihad to face defending Premier League champions City. The Terriers only won three of their 19 Premier League away matches last season, failing to score in 13 of those.

  • It may seem strange - but that was 1st free-kick goal for Silva in the EPL and CL. Ain`t sure for the other tournaments like FA Cup and League Cup though...

  • Imagine if you had Aguero in your fantasy team....

  • @SteveHyland I had :D

  • @7dana with captain armband.

  • Mendy clearly assisted Aguero even if it was a GK mistake

  • @Drum8888 You mean the third goal? It was unsuccessful cross to the goal keeper, no way it can be counted as an assist other than in fantasy football...

  • @Castle The official premier league fantasy site gave the assist

  • @Drum8888 My friend and I were following it quite closely, we thought the one they gave was the Jesus goal. Defender kicks ball into Mendy, who is the last one to touch it before Jesus.

  • Draw

  • @footballover Hilarious

  • 5-1

  • Indeed it may be 2-0 but also it can end 6-0.

  • @Gambino78 it's either 6-0 or 7-1. Still expecting 1more goal

  • 1-0
