- Jose Mourinho has confirmed Alexis Sánchez, Marouane Fellaini and Diogo Dalot remain sidelined.
- However, Jesse Lingard, Scott McTominay and Phil Jones could feature for Manchester United this weekend.
- Antonio Valencia returned to training at the start of the week and should be okay to play against Everton after missing the Juventus defeat on Tuesday.
- Despite dismissing the idea of dropping Romelu Lukaku on Friday, it has since emerged the Belgian could be benched against his former club. Marcus Rashford will lead the line if this is the case.
- André Gomes made his Everton debut in last weekend's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace and was understandably rusty. It remains to be seen whether Marco Silva will start him here.
- Yerry Mina was an unused substitute against Palace and might be considered here after another full week of training under his belt.
- Seamus Coleman and Idrissa Gueye both recovered from injury to start against the Eagles and will continue in the starting XI on Sunday.
- Ademola Lookman, Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin came off the bench and all played a direct hand in the two goals Everton scored. The latter pair will push for starts against United.
