Liverpool
Everton
- Jordan Henderson is suspended for one match after being sent off in the 3-0 win over Watford last weekend. Fabinho will hope to profit with a start in Liverpool's midfield a result.
- Xherdan Shaqiri and Trent Alexander-Arnold dropped to the bench in the 2-1 loss away to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday and both have a good chance of starting the Merseyside derby.
- Naby Keita last started a match for Liverpool at the beginning of October. Liverpool's No.8 has been out of sorts this season and struggled to stay 100 per cent fit but will hope for more game time here.
- Jonjo Kenny is Everton's only injury concern ahead of the Sunday's Merseyside derby at Anfield.
- Everton have a settled starting XI and few changes, if any, are expected from Marco Silva this weekend.
- The Everton boss has, however, hinted Ademola Lookman is closer to a start and the 21-year-old could replace Theo Walcott in the starting XI on Sunday.
Can't realize where was Pickford's mistake, really. Origi's shoot was really defective, the ball just fell and hit in the post twice, to me it's more Bad Luck than a fault.
@dib - any keeper has a reach much higher than the crossbar. Pickford should have just reached up and pushed the ball out for a corner instead of fumbling it onto the crossbar, then back into the field.
Where is Joe Gomez's clearance off the line?
The Reds' no more gengen pressing now
Once again our defense was magnificent and our attack woeful. Must sort it out but at least we got the 3 points.
How on earth did Gomez not get a 'cleared off the line' when he literally cleared it off the line?
Pickford :D
Liverpool win with what might just be the worst goal I've seen this season well into stoppage time. How long can they ride their luck? City miles ahead in terms of quality.
how much luck they have this season ..... but city will win premier league again!!!
@stefanm may be arsen viger is in liverpool stand. hahaha
Salah so bad
@xavistu He’s really not, it’s just that all our forwards are out of form and Everton swarmed Salah everytime he got the ball. Anyway very lucky win and we need to sort out our creative problems and soon or otherwise we’ll drop off.
@sarigginsUSA @sarigginsUSA that's true all 3 are out of form, but Salah played pathetic yesterday, and that's why he was changed in 75th minute.
If you're a goalkeeper you know how difficult it is to deal with those balls. I don't blame Pickford because the trajectory of the ball in those shots are unpredictable and those shots are full of surprises.
@CirdomAkul Are you kidding? All he had to do was tip it over, or even leave it. He actually kept it in play.
@Nico1 He didn't touch the ball. You are wrong. It bounced twice on the bar.
@CirdomAkul I don't think it's a keeping error personally. The ball came from so high dipping right onto the bar. That is extremely difficult to deal with. Just "one of those things". His defenders needed to be more alert to a rebound from the bar, they were sleeping.
@Champion wow. This was Karius level mistake and we have these comments. lol
@Sinaj Most people like you view games with the mentality of a child, not really my problem. I can see why Pickford did what he did. The reason people like you can't play goalkeeper in the league is because you don't have the self-confidence of Pickford. A self-confident keeper is always going to have problems with this sort of rare, weird, scenario as they play for themselves, in their own mind and not in the mind of others. Pickford shouldn't worry about this incident, as the reason for it occurring is why he is a top keeper in the first place..self-confidence.
Lucky late winner for Pool. That was important to keep the PL interesting.
wtf just happened there?
2 shots on target in 90 minutes in a game on home ground. Liverpool is not in shape these days...
@neumi17 But 5 goals conceded from 14 games. Klopp has shifted from an all out attack style to a more balanced style. And overall they are better for it.
@neumi17 still they got a win after win somehow
@tar88s Yes, somehow...
Terrible game
Hey, dear Whoscored! Alisson saves really dead ball, and Gomez make clearance off the line - why you didn't consider it ?
@Liverbirdsong LOL WhoScored don't gather the stats, they receive them from Opta Stats, an external sports stats provider.

@watfordAlbert I'll be shocked if Liverpool do not win 3-0.
@SeuneMilmas Be shocked than please
This Everton team might turn out to become club's best (and most successful?) team so far under Silva (and with the help of huge budget). I like their style as they press high on the pitch and their offensive players work very hard to win the possession in opposition's third. That could cause some problems for Liverpool, particularly if Lovren starts :D Their defense also seems to be improving. Liverpool are under huge pressure to keep up with City and qualify at CL.They have many difficult matches coming up and little rotation has taken place so far which could cost them in the end. However, I still think they'll edge Everton at Anfield although there's reasonable chance for a draw two. 2-1.
BTTS
2-1 Everton will help here
Liverpool may be playing like Tranmere away from home in the CL but have been superb at home all year, save for the League Cup which I'm sure isn't Klopp's priority, and as WhoScored state in the prediction box above- Everton haven't won at Anfield for 19 years. I can only see a Liverpool win, but it may be by a small margin. 1-0 Reds.
Liverpool 1:2 Everton
@Salek Everton cant win here. A draw is maximum they can get.
