Myself not even a Arsenal fan, I'm more anxious than the Gonner owners who are simply ultra misers, turning the club into an academy (buy cheap young players in the hope of either using them later, or selling them for profit) and a feeder club for giants like Barcelona for the past decade. And you have a top player in Ozil you don't use, although he may not be perfect all the time.
@eastend1 As I wrote: *home* win... According to 11vs11, West Ham's last home win against Arsenal finished 1-0 on 5th Nov 2006. Not quite 13 year ago but more than 12 years and more recently that 2015.
@dib Xakha's concentration is poor , he makes many errors that lead to goals over the course of a season. i would sell him for that very reason. he is great passer of the ball and his positional play is good. but his concentration is very bad. He costs us more goals than he scores for us.

On the subject of Denis Suarez which, as I said below, seems imminent (though you never can tell with our club) what are my fellow Gooners' thoughts on him? I like his type of player. Has the ability to beat a man, help out defensively/press, deliver a final ball in the danger area just in front of the 18 yard box and get on the end of final balls himself. I'd describe him as a Ramsey/Oezil hybrid without being as good as either of them at their strengths, maybe a mixture of the two is what is needed with both players struggling due to their lack of ability in the areas which the other player has an abundance of? Emery knows him and a player who can start as a #10 and drift back into CM will give us the option of using Unai's Sevilla 4-2-3-1 system which he favoured at the begin of the season. For around £20m, it could be a shrewd signing.
@SteveHyland I think we need denis suarez ( for this season, but for the long terms a world class creative MF is a must for us ) since rambo is out and more doubt on ozil, but our BIG issue is the D E F E N S E ( hope Unai will not make arsene's mistake by avoiding strenghten the back line ), for the game wish Emry will put the duo Auba/Laca in attack they need more minutes together, I see a win for us here maybe 3-2 or 3-1 .
@ClassicGon and @Overmars - I agree, but there needs to be a CB available who can be better than promoting Pleguezuelo or Mavropanos and who are better than Mustafi so he can go straight into the first XI with Sokratis and around 25-28 years old so he isn't just a stop-gap. If you make a list of all CBs who are not only good defensively but have the pace to play in a high-back-line system, are good on the ball, can move between RCB & LCB plus are at a club who would be willing to sell then you'll find the number is very low. The only two rumours I have heard from trustworthy sources are Gary Cahill and Pepe. If either of them sign, they will be the bottom of the list in pace; ability on the ball and defensive skills of all senior CBs at the club. Our cheapskate club wouldn't spend £70m on Koulibaly, for example, even though it'd have a transformative effect like Van Dijk at Liverpool.
@SteveHyland I agree with you in almost all what you said :) , but I see that's not good to rely on too many young players in a single season ( pleguezualo, maitland niles, saka, nketiah, willock,...). to be honest with you I don't see that we gonna benefit anything at the of this season ( europa league, FA cup, one of the first 4 PL ranks) if we don't bring at least defender and a Midfielder this january.......what will happen to us when europa league games start with all those injuries ????
Mustafi was reportedly fit for the Blackpool game but wasn't risked. Given Koscielny's injury, I'd expect Shkodran to start alongside Sokratis here. Maitland-Niles at RB ahead of Lichtsteiner. It's always pure guesswork in predicting Emery's lineup but I believe we'll go with a back 4. I also have to believe that Lacazette being used sparingly against Blackpool means he will start here. I see no point in sitting a player who you plan to sit again a week later. Aubameyang looks so much more dangerous with his mate on the pitch. The 4-3-1-2 formation would get both in the XI and provide cover for the FBs when they bomb forward, if needed. Xhaka would play as the #4 and although Ramsey isn't great as a #10, the imminent arrival of Denis Suarez suggests his (and Oezil's) days are numbered anyway. That would be the formation I persevere with for while with Unai hardly enamoured with Aubameyang on the LW. I think we will get our first away league win in 5 games but only just. 2-1 AFC.
Felipe Anderson was immense should have been MOTM
No Torreira, no party

So Emery believes that Eddie Nketiah can give more to our squad than Ozil...
West Ham's first home win against Arsenal for 13 years according to the BBC.
@MEHJones 0-2 v West Ham 2015. Not quite 13 years...

#EmeryOut? XD
@xavistu back to your cave
Arsenal is the definition of try-hard
Arsenal2019.set(toReality) = true ;
Since (koscienlny and monreal) back we gone from bad to worst ..... also we don't have a creative player in the midfield today.
Unai out ! too defensive against West Ham cost them the game
@footballover I think Arsenal needs new players, not a new manager
Even the best defender in the world can have an common, unfortunate mistake like Xhaka on the goal, so I won't blame him this time. Credit to Rice.

ha ha
Boring game . Neither team wants to win
Özil ist not playing. So Arsenal has no chance ...
@neumi17 It's not the reason. They will fail either way because its trashsenal

@MartinArmenia089 I'll be shocked if West Ham do not win 4-2

@SteveHyland Id rather us sign a defender but he looks an ok signing. We desperately need quality defenders.

@SteveHyland There's still a chance we will play 5 at the back. IM a bit worried that Felipe Anderson will annihilate us on the wing.
@Overmars I hope he does!
3-3
