Real Madrid
Espanyol
- Julen Lopetegui could make some minor rotations after midweek action in the Champions League.
- Alvaro Odriozola could come in at right-back to give Dani Carvajal a rest in La Liga.
- Nacho is expected to rotate in at centre-back, with Dani Ceballos also coming in for Casemiro.
- David Lopez is an injury doubt at centre-back, but should start regardless due to it being a big game.
- Sergio Garcia will be preferred to Pablo Piatti on the left wing once again after scoring last time out.
- Rubi will be keeping things consistent after a very positive start to the season for Espanyol.
whats going on? Espanyol normally just bend over for Real
Casemiro was the best player out there. Don't know why Ramos gets the highest ratings. Wonder where Real would be without Casemiro. Julen should have asked Perez to get Alisson. Courtois and Navas both ain't good passers. But Lopetegui's scheme is to build from back. Literally Ramos was left with only 1 option(courtois which he thought was not good option to build) when he was caught. There are Kroos,Marcelo and Carvajal to help but in a match without these players Julen's scheme won't ever work.
Benzema thought that now that ronaldo is gone everyone will pass to him. well isco, asensio has other ideas.
Real have been lacking firepower in their attack for a couple of season. What baffles me is that they keep getting weakend in attack season after season. They have so much quality in defense and midfield lines but not enough in attacking line. Vazquez for Ceballos substitution could have resulted to a draw or even a loss as they were declining physically in midfield. Lopeteugi rectified his mistake by bringing Llorente to bolster the midfield.
@CirdomAkul Bale and Asensio are amazing starters, only number #9 is problematic in this team.
Benzema again gone missing, and Lucas Vasquez wouldnt even play for my local football school team!
@stefanm wtf, benzema is sacrificing for ronaldo. let him do his job
@john2james Ronaldo still in tears after pulling another mans hair in Valencia? That is only allowed in sex masohism as Van Gaal once explained..... :-))
Odriozola <3
Asensio and Isco shouldn't be starters. Asensio aside from scoring from time to time often is completely useless and his decision making is stupid. Huge ego and selfish player. Isco often takes too long by always opting for 1on1's, slows the game down way too much. There's no point in trying out different players. We need wins not experiments.
@Lechiffre10 isco after these years still didn't learn how to distribute the ball.
@Lechiffre10 Isco is the best performing player in midfield with Kroos. You don't know how he provides outlet between the lines and makes it much easier for Marcelo,Modric and especially kroos. Links midfield and attack, helps in buildups, scores goals provides magnificent passes.
@Lechiffre10 Asensio and Isco are best players at the moment even though Asensio has to stop being selfish
@Lechiffre10 Congrats on the dumbest comment of the day.
@dSquib yours took the cake though. You’ll see what I mean as the season progresses and you’ll realize what I mean. Going to assume you didn’t see how disappointing Asensio was last season. He’s an overrated player and I’m saying this as a madridista. He’s phenomenal coming in as a sub. But there’s a fundamental problem with Isco and Asensio and it’s hard for Benzema to be more involved when he barely gets the ball.
I really don't like Ceballos.
@TetouanMorocco Ceballos was good tonight. Kroos deserved to rest, we have important game in Seville in few days
@TetouanMorocco Ancelotti, Benitez, and Zidane all agreed that Kroos is unbenchable,,, why now from Julen.
@offside to rest him maybe? or just for the sake of Ceballos's eyes lol, he benched Casemiro that time for him haha
4-0
intersting attack:bale,junior,marco
2-0
not easy game but not hard game
MoTM Messi
@Lapulga lol Messi fans don't even know that he plays for Barcelona not Espanyol.
I always vote for Toni Kroos. How good and consistent he is. Without even a goal, assists and without dribbles, he gets a rating of 7.1 on whoscored. Best passer game has seen in last half a decade. Manages a 96.2% passing rate with 10 long balls per game.
@yash8117 not to mention his 101.8 passes per game.
@yash8117 He is not included in squad.
@yash8117 thats gonna be interesting,,,
