Within one week Dortmund got kicked out of the national cup, the CL and kept giving up points in the Bundesliga. The momentum clearly says 2. place after Bayern ...
@neumi17 If they go out of cups it doesn't have relevance to the league. You can argue that it's easier to win the league without wasting energy in cups, they can train instead. Your comment is therefore pure speculation.
@NuchalLine That doesn't make any sense. First, there's still many teams with realistic chance to win CL (about half the teams left) and Real aren't any kind of favorite above others. Second, Pochettino has done excellent work in Espanyol, Southampton and Spurs but he's yet to win anything as a coach. He would no doubt make Real play great football, but after one or two possible seasons without a big trophy, Madristas would be demanding his sacking. Tottenham is much better club for him.
@Castle I agree that Poch still hasn't win anything yet, but considering the teams that he has been in, Spurs is the biggest of those and we all know Daniel Levy's a tough owner to ask for a player. Tottenham has been lacking 2 middlefielders since last year. That just will not happen in Real with a coach with some reputation, as Poch. I'm not saying that he will win anything, tho.
And Spurs have had a 10/10 performance in the 2nd half. Dortmund have themselves to blame for failing to capitalise on creating much the better chances in the 1st half.
@SteveHyland They just didn't have anyone upfront, no target man, who you could pass or cross the ball to. The entire team just stopped playing and Favre did nothing against it. Pulisic played as bad as in all recent matches but Guerreiro had to sit on the bench until the 88. minute !! even though he has been the top scorer for Dortmund in the CL .
@EmileDM he has played left back before for Spurs and for Belgium. Interestingly before the match the London based Evening Standard newspaper questioned whether Jan could handle it at left back.... Hahahaha.
Jan Vertonghen must be one of the most technical center backs around. Comfortable going forward, three dribbles so far, and his crosses are excellent. Not many CBs can play as wing back at such a high level!
Both teams are very similar, and both have notable absentees. What will divide these two on the occasion is who wants it more and who’ll be tougher to beat. People forget easily that Dortmund have lost just 2 games across the Champions League all season. A shock loss to a very competitive Düsseldorf side, and a loss at the fortress of Wanda Metropolitano after annihilating Atletico 4-0 the previous game. BTTS for certain, Spurs have struggled against good sides recently, X2. I go along with the draw in this one. 1-1/2-2
Three of Tottenham’s last five games at Wembley have featured just one goal.Tottenham are flying in the league with ten wins from their last 12, while Dortmund top the Bundesliga,
Tottenham duo Eric Dier (virus) and Erik Lamela (back) both returned to training with the squad on Tuesday for the first leg of their last-16 match. Neither were available for Sunday's 3-1 win over Leicester.
Argentine Pochettino confirmed left-back Danny Rose's shin injury means he is a doubt for Wednesday's contest.
Striker Harry Kane (ankle) and midfielders Dele Alli (hamstring) and Ben Davies (groin) remain sidelined.
@leZickzack Tottenham have finished higher in the league than predicted by the experts at the BBC every year for the past five years so maybe these predictions are not 100% reliable...
I am curious who the fck will score all the goals - Tottenham without Dele, Kane, Dortmund without best scorers Alcacer and Reus, no Weigl and Piszcek as well who are pretty offensive. Do not cry if its 0:0 at ht and everything about goals is gone.
Two goals a piece given the attacking talent that won't be in this match is pretty bold prediction #WhoScored. I will be surprised if either team score a single goal let alone 2 each. That being said, Spurs have proven they can win without Kane and Alli while Dortmund have yet to prove they can do anything without Reus and with the defenders they are missing... Spurs 1 - 0
Both teams are missing several players. In particular Tottenham are will miss Kane and Dele whereas Dortmund will miss Reus and Piszczek. Dortmund have done well this season in big matches (e.g. against their closest rivals in the league) and have a decent away record. If Tottenham play Trippier on the right, Dortmund will kill them; Trippier just gives the ball away far too often in big games. However, if Tottenham start well (which they don't always do in Europe) and show some mosre of their recent spirit they can get a win here. Heart over head: Tottenham 2-1 Dortmund.
Tottenham without Kane, above some other players, that's THE missing. Saw BVB playing againts Hoffenheim last Saturday, they dominated till the 80th minute when strange things happened... I think BVB has a big chance of not losing here, BVB to win or draw @1.80
Just to let you know that every person in South Korea is a tottenham fan even though nobody knew anything about European football there until 2 seasons ago!
@albgunn I'm a South Korean, Who says everyone supports Tottenham? Totally not everyone, many person likes other team like a Liverpool, Chelsea or Manchester teams. by the way I think this game will be draw.
@albgunn- ??? The premier league has been big in South Korea ever since Park Ji-Sung signed for Utd. There was/is also Ki Sung-Yueng for Swansea and Newcastle. We'll ignore Park Chu-Young though. That was blatantly an Asian marketing ploy.
@jesper I think it's easy to argue against it. Dortmund is better away from home than Tottenham at home. They lost already 5 times this season on their own ground, whereas Dortmund has only lost once in Bundesliga and CL
Son Heung Min, SON of Bundesliga, SON of Hamburger.
Diallo such a flop...again.
When Dortmund is the best, Son Heung Min trauma, 10Game 9Goal, Dortmund Beekeeping Legend.
Within one week Dortmund got kicked out of the national cup, the CL and kept giving up points in the Bundesliga. The momentum clearly says 2. place after Bayern ...
@neumi17 now they can focus on the Bayernliga only!
@neumi17 The momentum clearly says you have no idea what you're talking about
@uefalona That statement is only valid if you can reason it ...
@neumi17 If they go out of cups it doesn't have relevance to the league. You can argue that it's easier to win the league without wasting energy in cups, they can train instead. Your comment is therefore pure speculation.
Horrible tactic from Lucien Favre... Ok to let the possession to the opponents, but once they take the lead, you have to react.
I don't know what happened in the second half but Dortmund just dissolved ...
dortmund can go and focus on the bundesliga
@BarcaPlsLetMeDown It's their only shot for a trophy left. But they will blow it as well
Poch to Madrid if Solari fails to win the cL or league
@NuchalLine That doesn't make any sense. First, there's still many teams with realistic chance to win CL (about half the teams left) and Real aren't any kind of favorite above others. @SteveHyland shrewd and magnanimous as ever.
Vertonghen has had a 10/10 performance in the 2nd half.
small detail, verthongen is normally a centre-back
@EmileDM he has played left back before for Spurs and for Belgium. Interestingly before the match the London based Evening Standard newspaper questioned whether Jan could handle it at left back.... Hahahaha.

REf in this game is worst the d one that cary real in the other one ???
Whats with the Champions League and their referees? Every single ref so far in the R16 has completely s*** the bed...
@khonda still better than the refs in the world cups
one of the worst referees I have ever seen
Lucky for Tottenham, still 0-0 at half time.
@neumi17 lool bundesliga is shit
WTF ? What kind of referee is that ? He never sees any fouls !
Lahoz refereeing this game LOL
2-1
Trauma of bees = Son Heung-min 9 game 8Goal
@Iseethebest I think it was 10 games 8 goals. Now 11 games 9 goals.
@Iseethebest 9 now
@Iseethebest zero chances for spurs obviously, ez win for dortmund
Btts and Dortmund wins 1-2
Todayz Ayz tips:Derby win,ajax btts yes & spurs btts yes
English team will win by 1 goal

This has 0-0 final written all over it.
@keithsweat I don't kno wen spurs and bvb respectively have ended that way
@bryayz I don't know when so many key players have been injured. We'll see, I guess.
Both teams are very similar, and both have notable absentees. What will divide these two on the occasion is who wants it more and who’ll be tougher to beat. Three of Tottenham’s last five games at Wembley have featured just one goal.Tottenham are flying in the league with ten wins from their last 12, while Dortmund top the Bundesliga,
Eight of Tottenham's nine goals in the Champions League this season have come in the second half (89%).
Tottenham duo Eric Dier (virus) and Erik Lamela (back) both returned to training with the squad on Tuesday for the first leg of their last-16 match. Neither were available for Sunday's 3-1 win over Leicester. Argentine Pochettino confirmed left-back Danny Rose's shin injury means he is a doubt for Wednesday's contest. no reus no party. tottenham will win tonight. 2-0
@tenchu No Kane and Alli, no party
@neumi17 No Kane, No Dele, No Rose, No Davies, No stadium, No new signings, No hope given by the pundits or media, No problem.
1 - 3 for Dortmund with 1 from eriksen and Gotze, Witsel, Hakimi being scoring for BVB
tottenham have a good performance in domestic league.. and they will win the game,, optimize....
Only 17% here think that Dortmund will win. At Onefootball 53% think Dortmund will win. What a difference!
@leZickzack How many predicted 3-0 to Spurs?
@leZickzack Tottenham have finished higher in the league than predicted by the experts at the BBC every year for the past five years so maybe these predictions are not 100% reliable...
@leZickzack and FiveThirtyEight. Com give Dortmund a 24% chance of winning.
Don't underestimate Dortmund. Only PL team which seems to be going to RO8 is City.
I am curious who the fck will score all the goals - Tottenham without Dele, Kane, Dortmund without best scorers Alcacer and Reus, no Weigl and Piszcek as well who are pretty offensive. Do not cry if its 0:0 at ht and everything about goals is gone.
@martinkamenarski Son, Eriksen, Sancho
@MEHJones gotze 3

Tottenham with already 5 losses at home this season, whereas Dortmund has lost only 1 ones in 27 games in Bundesliga and CL each...
@neumi17 Just shows BL sucks
Sancho, Hakimi, Guerreiro and Witsel will rule ... I also see a 2-2 here.
Alcacer, Piszczek, Weigl probably not playing
Tottenham wins! This is the Holy Land.
bvb defence their weak spot, totham will prevail somehow
Just to let you know that every person in South Korea is a tottenham fan even though nobody knew anything about European football there until 2 seasons ago!

@SteveHyland He just took a wild guess which backfired a bit, happens ..
Btts and home win if Kane starts
토트넘 승리
@fccsky it says "Tottenham victory": 토트넘 = Tottenham, 승리 = victory. It's Korean.
@MEHJones So now you know Korean?!!! it says "Heung-Min to score" :토트넘 = Heung-Min , 승리 = to score. It's Japanese language
@Cannavaro69 ): 토트넘 승리= 한국어(Korean) OK? No japan 잘 알고 말하길..
@Korean Who cares dude. its all fuckin east asia countries
@Cannavaro69 you a racist
@Korean Yes iam , nice to meet you
@fccsky Hard to argue against this prediction ...
@jesper I think it's easy to argue against it. Dortmund is better away from home than Tottenham at home. They lost already 5 times this season on their own ground, whereas Dortmund has only lost once in Bundesliga and CL
@fccsky I wouldn't be so sure...
@pyt55 I am afraid he's right.....
Tottenham win
