Ajax
Juventus
- Noussair Mazraoui is for Ajax due to an accumulation of bookings in the competition. 21-year-old Rasmus Kristensen will likely get the nod at right-back.
- No other changes are expected from Ajax's usual starting XI. Hakim Ziyech, Daley Blind, Matthijs de Ligt and Nicolas Tagliafico will miss the return leg if they are booked here.
- Cristiano Ronaldo has not played for Juventus since scoring a hat-trick in this competition, missing the Old Lady's last four matches through injury. He is pushing to return from a thigh injury and is expected to make the matchday squad at the very least.
- Emre Can was forced off after 25 minutes in Juventus' 2-1 win over AC Milan on Saturday and will play no part here. Sami Khedira is at least back to cover for Can if required.
- Alex Sandro will return at left-back after missing Juventus' last Champions League game through suspension. Blaise Matuidi and Federico Bernardeschi are one booking away from missing the return leg.
- Bernardeschi could get the nod over Paulo Dybala, as he did against Atletico last time out in the competition. Moise Kean has scored in his last five apperances for club and country but will have to settle for a place on the bench on Wednesday.
- Giorgio Chiellini is ruled out for Juventus and his absence is a blow, particularly as Andrea Barzagli hasn't start a match since October. Will Max Allegri go with Barzagli's experience or trust Daniele Rugani in a game of this magnitude?
- Douglas Costa has been out of action for more than two months but has made the squad and will take his seat on the bench.
@uefalona Cr7 - king of losers (ATM, Bayer(n) ... JUVE, SLBenfica) CRISTIANO goals vs Messi (or Maldini) teams UCL ??? CRISTIANO goals vs Iker Casillas (or Neuer, Buffon ...) teams Euro or FIFAWC ??? LEADER...
What a sexy game Ajax played, I really like this team. Back to the days of Total Football.
Ajax deserved to win. They dominated the whole game in my opinion. It's really a joy to watch their games - fast, creative and attacking football from players, most of which come from their academy. Not much more to ask for... I hope they qualify and even win the CL, despite their small chances. It'll be nice for football at general
Vibrant,Youthful And Enticing Football From Ajax But,Their Mistake Was That; They Could Have Killed The Game Early On.Now I Don't See Any Chances Of Them Going Through To The Semi's
@S.Asensio So everybody told us before they hammered Real... I think they have a good chance. All they have to do is score 1 and concede none. Withing the realm of possibilities I think...
after getting back from injury ronaldo played well he made that goal and juventus should make creative changes to their attack and midfield, this was almost another atletico scenario
@BSN Ronaldo has nice goal, but he is waiting for tapins and penalties only and he is totally useless without his feeders today as always, dont lie :-D
@JimmyHopkins ronaldo must be a real pain in the bottom for you
bravo ajax. wonderful display, the thing is that i expected it, they can win the league
Nice draw, nice goals, Ajax was better, 2nd leg will be interesting, Sczesny is MOTM and saved the day and sorry but Ronaldo is not Leader, he is useless without his feeders, only wait for tapins and penalties.
@JimmyHopkins Messi was more useless than CR tonight.
@JimmyHopkins lol get a life
Nice draw, nice goals, Ajax was better, 2nd leg will be interesting, Sczesny is MOTM and saved the day and sorry but Ronaldo is not Leader, he is useless without his feeders, only wait for tapins and penalties.
Ajax were the better side against Bayern in 2 games, they were the better side against Real in 2 games and they are the better side tonight as well. And most impressive, they were the more creative and technically better side against all 3 teams ...
@neumi17 Yes They Are! But They Lack That 'Giant-Killing Instinct',And That Will Surely Prove Costly. They Should Try To Emulate Wolves From The Epl
@S.Asensio if they did that they even wouldn’t have made it put of the group stages
@neumi17 They have some big flaws in defense, a bad goalkeeper and they get offside often but yeah they are a nice team to watch.
11 Juve players inside there box, this is mire than parking a bus! this is parking the train lol
Goalkeeper should have easily saved that. It was pretty much straight at him.
@uefalona Real Madrid fan detected, loser go home empty handed.
Most Probable Score : Juve To Win 2-1
Ajax to win and to qualify! they play gorgeous football, Ziyech MOTM. 3/0
@TetouanMorocco I would be shocked if Ajax didn't lose 3-1.
Ajax can easily destroy this crappy Juve if their fowards can hit the target
@takes16 really? one of the best teams in the world like Juventus is crappy? Which team you think is not crappy then? :) ))))
@takes16 *cough*
Ajax only beat Madrid because Madrid produced the worst performance I have ever seen since that 6-2 defeat by Barca 10 years ago. Juve is going to the semi finals here.
1-1 or 2-2 draw
I can see some goals here... Over 2.5 imo, even over 3.5. The absence of Chiellini is a huge blow for Juve and these talented players of Ajax could take advantage of it.
End of the road for Ajax. Madrid was one thing, they were a team in shambles; but Juventus are quite the opposite. Ajax 1-2 Juventus
I'm from Turin, I know Juve very well, I'm a fan since I was little. the comments of the people who underestimate Juve this year make me laugh. probably do not know its potential well, especially at home. this year is not like in the past, or being aware that there are stronger teams. this year we have only one awareness. we are the strongest. they probably don't know that players like Kean and Bernardeschi have "exploded". and probably have hams on their eyes ... an attack Ronaldo Douglas Costa mandzukic Dybala Bernardeschi and Kean ... in Europe there is none. I believe the Ajax will come out with the broken bones from this game. the other victim will be the City. in Turin they will take several. the barcelona in the final? it is no longer the team of the past. couthino is not inesta. dembele is not worth neymar. Vidal is not worth Xavi.
@matteo.matte.94 You laugh at people who underestimate Juve but at the same time you underestimate Ajax ? Ajax plays better football than Juve, you know at least that , do you ?
@matteo.matte.94 You say the other victim is Man City as if they are going to the semi's. City is tired.
@matteo.matte.94 I'm a Juve fan, but I disagree. Strong team, absolutely. Best attack? Not without Ronaldo. Midfield, take off Pjanic and you've lost most of the creativity. Defense, without Chiellini to orchestrate it it's not all that. Bonucci struggles without Chiellini keeping him in line. Szczesny is a solid goalkeeper, but nothing spectacular. There are only two world-class players in the team, Ronaldo and Dybala. And the latter tends to go missing every now and then, most notably in some big matches in recent years. While losing away to Atleti is one thing, add the home defeat to Man United, losing to Young Boys (!!!) and getting nailed by Genoa, and it's apparent that this team is nowhere near all-conquering. Get Ronaldo injured for another CL game or two, and you're up shit creek without a paddle.
@matteo.matte.94 Been Juve fan since 02/03. This year is gonna be ez, City are trash year in and year out. Barca is fine but we beat them before.
Barca, City and Liverpool have better attack. City and Barca have better midfield. There is no favourite.
@agunchev "On paper" I'd tip Juve, Barca, City and Liverpool to make the semis, even if I won't exclude an upset or two. But after that, all bets are off... :D
@matteo.matte.94 yeah but Messi is still Messi even more
@matteo.matte.94 Ofc Dembele is not Neymar, Dembele is much faster and will actually play in the QFs :D And no one's saying Coutinho is Iniesta. Juve ancora non ha segnato più di 4 gol in una partita questa stagione con i loro super attaccanti invece Barcelona (ancora imbattuto nella Champions) ha un altro triplete nel mirino.
Chiellini out... huge blow to Juventus. Their defense is just a flaming mess every time he's not around and bad defense is really bad for a team with defensive play style. In Italy, they've won everything this season except 5 games and among those everytime (except 1 Atalanta draw where Ronaldo came in late) Chiellini didn't play. Rugani is just the horror... This will not be a boring game.
Good Luck Ajax
1-X or Correct score 1:1
Ajax easy
juventus only became relevant cuz of ronaldo
@NuchalLine yes they were below average before his arrival. They only won 7 league tittles, 4 Cups and reach 2 champions league final.
@Gooner09- Ignore the Madridista, he is upset because Madrid became irrelevant after Ronaldo.
1-2
1-0 for ajax i think
Expecting a disappointingly straight-forward 2-0 win for Juve.
3-1 for Ajax
@Andy3B so youre a barca fan that for some reason predicts juve losing every match and has to stfu afterwards every single time? you must be really heartbroken by a specific player (probably the one who gave it to you last time you predicted an Atletico win lol)
91 comments? But it's only 3. Lol
please report @FLOPessi cancer
Juventus,加油!
