Liverpool
Barcelona
- Naby Keita is out for the remainder of the season with a groin injury sustained in the first leg, which should lead to a midfield three of Georgino Wijnaldum, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson.
- Mohamed Salah was forced off in the second half of Liverpool's 3-2 win at Newcastle after a nasty collision with Martin Dubravka, but watched the remainder of the game in the dressing room and showed no ill-effects.
- However Jurgen Klopp has announced that Salah has unavailable, which is a blow as the Reds boss has confirmed that Roberto Firmino is ruled out, while Adam Lallana is a doubt.
- Ousmane Dembele sustained a hamstring injury at Celta Vigo and misses out for Barcelona.
- Rafinha is the only other injury concern for the La Liga side.
- Ernesto Valverde may name the same XI that started the 3-0 first leg win at Camp Nou.
Those who said Messi chokes/bottles/disappear, I laughed. Just look at the 4th goal Liverpool scored, sums up Barcelona defence and midfield really. Also Valverde's incapability to set his team right tactically to nullify Liverpool's attack by playing long rather than getting trapped inside their own half trying to play their way out... is crazy, especially on a night where they only need 1 away goal to seal it.
Still in the recovery position, might remain there for some days yet. What a game. YNWA!
Dunno why barca fans INSIST on unathletic all rounders with good technical ability. Ur idea of a perfect team is a team that consist of slow players who exchange short passes in the middle of the pitch? realy??? Everytime i bring this topic i get burned with hating reactions and comments like "why dont u be the coach then". Does it not seem odd that the only fast paced player on the pitch was Jordi Alba while liverpool had "Shaqiri, Mane, Arnold and robertson"? EVOLVE ALREADY! Stop caring iif players like "malcolm, dembele and semedo" make a "not so perfect short pass"... they strech the field, and give barca more options than the lame short pass through the middle tactic. This is why barca bottle... Teams sometimes can succesfully completely shut them down by just crowding the middle with high pressure. There is no other big team that plays this system. There is a common conception that Man city and Liverpool play the same but they both stretch the field with fast paced wingers....
@k.1 ...Nobody thinks Liverpool plays the same as Barcelona. And yeah, Barcelona do need fast-paced wingers, but Dembele was injured, and only Valverde knows why he decided against playing Malcolm. He probably thought Jordi Alba was enough. However, fast-paced wingers and players with technical ability are not mutually exclusive. Guardiola's Barcelona had both. Another issue is that there is actually a decrease in the amount of highly technical, intelligent players on the current Barcelona team compared with before. It's not that Barcelona need to "evolve" (suggesting that they are outdated), it's that they've "devolved" and are stuck in some weird middle place where they can't dominate possession as much (not enough intelligent technical players) and they can't play counter-attack effectively (not enough fast forwards). Also, people's problem w/ Semedo is not that he can't make short passes, it's that when he gets the ball he doesn't know what to do, so he's often a useless option.
@k.1 I guess there is nothing wrong with the current tactics. Otherwise, you can't explain the good result so far until this match. Remember we still won 3-0 at home. I guess the problem is there is no Plan B and there is no competition within the team. Players went to Anfield thinking they have already getting through. No sense of crisis. And some players like Suarez was not replaced even he play badly.
@kevinwgg NOPE. The game at home was not good considering we were at home. That free kick should have not normaly been scored. Salah missed an open goal. And do not mention the chances at the end because they came from liverpools sense of despair.
@k.1 Its still a 3-0. Ifin this match allison didnt play so well, it could be 1-1 first half. Final score? Who knows.
Still Liverpool won't win. Ajax will win UCL
@harishjangra017 this aged well
@harishjangra017 lol
@harishjangra017 I bet you thought Barcelona was already in the final too hahaha! you should think with the head instead of your fanboysm
@harishjangra017 You forgot Tottenham is still in the game.
@harishjangra017 fail
Can anyone explain why TAA only got 1 Assist? I hope they'll fix this
@IDrahZua his cross for Gini's first took a deflection
Barca's whole left side just utterly terrible...no wonder that's where most of Liverpool's assist came from.
@pyt55 All of Barcas worst players were on the left side. Suarez, Rakitic,Coutinho, Lenglet and Alba
As many other people have noted, Luis Suarez is a man of his word... He did not celebrate at Anfield.
As many other people have noted, Luis Shared is a man of his word... He did not celebrate at Anfield.
mom has got to be messi, he was magic, i specially like how he disappear the whole 2nd half, straight Houdini
The funniest part about the 4th goal is that not even most other Liverpool players weren't paying attention either.
Rested and against a weaker Liverpool attack, Barca were just terrible in the 2nd half, 4th goal was farce Well deserved result for reds, and people told they should concentrate on EPL :)
there is a lot of things that made this game go like this .. for me the greatest factor is TAA he's a genius player (his reaction to every little thing.. ) hecan do everything to win a game i still remember him acting like something is wrong with the ball in last year CL against City just to buy time for liver to recover a take a breath.. and now in just split of a seconde he saw that origi isn't offside and how he move the ball to the left side to cool down the game ...
@otmae well its pretty bloody obvious he wasnt gonna be offside from a corner lol
@otmae 100%
One of the best UCL matches in history, Klopp is King, and don't worry, Messi will win 6th Ballon d´Or thanks to his perfect individual performance in all the competitions of this season as always, no one is better than him ... oh maybe Klopp will win Ballon d´Or and Ronaldos fans will be happy :-D

@JimmyHopkins I think Messi deserves it but Van Dijk should come top 2 in the Ballon D'or. Wouldn't even be surprised if he won.
Feel so bad about leo...
@emadx he was never a true leader!~
My takes on todays game 1. Messi played quite well especially in the first half. Was the only one trying to do shit. Vidal is the only other player who can hold his head high. 2. Liverpool got the jump on barcelona in the first 10 minutes. I'd say Barcelona were better from then until half time and were unlucky not to score. 3. Origi played really well. Applied a lot of pressure the defenders well and scored two. 4. Liverpools defenders were really good and no one put a foot wrong for them Matip was probably the best of the bunch. Alisson also kept really well. Barcelona on the other hand were a different story. Not sure why Lenglet starts over Umtiti and Alba had a very down game. 5. Diving and flopping is a massive issue that needs to be addressed by the higher ups. Suarez was the worst of them but had other culprits who were over the top. 6. Klopp has really revived this Liverpool team and made them an incredibly formidable side. Can't say the same for Valverde.
maybe it is now time to see messi at another club? he was dead-set on the champions league this season (the team too) after the three years of zinedine-zidane-madrid dominance. i think messi fails as a captain; he seems to favour talking with his hand over his mouth than passionately rousing the troops! but what do i know of his character really lol and of what he says and how he acts in training or the in the dressing room - he is very private it seems. i feel his questionable leadership skills hinder the team, away from home especially, in hostile environments. this for me makes his role as captain of fcb untenable and, for the first time, it feels like a move may just be best for both fcb and messi. but obviously money and contracts will most probably dictate
Messi is the greatest talent but is not a leader. In that like in how he dribbles and plays he is like George Best though of course Best had his demons and weaknesses that were beyond football.....both of them insanely gifted shining talents who brought and bring joy but neither able to lead and able to inspire others to follow. Both loved, adored by lover of the beautiful game.
Bye Barca fanboys go cry now, you're not more than a club we are.
Barcelona lost 4 0 to liverpool reserves!!!
@harteless Really? Which ones? Because aside from Origi and Shaqiri, the rest were all regular starters.
@Motorbreath HaHaHa what does it matter who they lost too
@Motorbreath No Salah, no Firmino, no Keita and Robertson went off injured!! Barcelona lost 4 0 to a team containing Milner, Henderson, Origi and Shaquri!!!
@harteless Keita has only recently started to find his feet, but is no less of a squad player than Milner. Again, I'll give you missing Salah and Firmino, but the rest are by no means reserve players.
The Messi haters will be out in force but he carries that team. He is the greatest footballer by miles and is a gift to lovers of the game. That said Barcelona are a brittle and old team.
@iluveverton Playstation generation
@iluveverton Messi isn’t half the player Zidane was at his peak
@Lechiffre10 zidane??? LMFAOOOOO
@Lechiffre10 Messi is half the player Andre Gomes is at his peak
@Lechiffre10 Nah, Messi really is better, and I loved Zidane as a player. But unlike Zidane he is no leader, so when he can't take care of things neither will anyone around him.
@Motorbreath @Motorbreath i have to disagree that he is better. He is great against small teams, but in decisive games (WC, Copa, CL) he has failed way too many times.
@mysterious Well not surprising he will fail the most if he reaches important stages in all of them... Ronaldo and Zidane have been knocked out of more CL than messi has...
@iluveverton yez. Couldnt agree with you more. Still desrvs the ball dor
Soccer is a team sport..
@nceshNcero Football*
@groovy *Bloody hell
Lul messi chokes it again. Hahaha Champions League isn't for him. Maybe when he was young, he could win one for his team. But now it is just impossible for him.
Arthur should've started, as soon as he came on, the whole game changed. Thanks Valverde but it's time to go!
@GioMonaldo he wouldn't have made much difference, barca were over run in all areas of the pitch
@GioMonaldo lol Vidal shouldn’t be substituted.. Arthur in 2nd leg and after losing? No way mate.
@GioMonaldo Wait, didn't they conced a fourth goal AFTER Arthur came on? ;)
Kloppp is an amazing coach...... Wow....
Barcelona for life.
@nceshNcero lmao
nceshNcero - member since 09-Apr-15 Liverpool ia npt good because of salah only. But thier tactics. So they are still dangerous. Barca must not by any degree relax 17 hours ago Reply Report
Velverde embarrased himself here. By a long shot.
@nceshNcero why didn't he start with Semedo!?
@Mitchell. Exactly. Its like he ddnt know what liverpool where capable of. All that rest for what ?
@nceshNcero good question
@nceshNcero He probably didn't. Nou Camp by all means, but Anfield is a whole different beast. Even if it's half the size.
This proves Barca are a 1 man team. This team would be mid table in La Liga and knocked out of UCL group stages if it weren't for 1 man.
@uefalona 100%, but the players they have other than Messi aren't exactly terrible. I think it all comes down to Valverde, who is a sub par manager.
Valverde - worst manager in CL history
@MSN_ON_ACID it seems to me even if Barca were 4-0 up,they`d still lose 5-0.
Great game by Liverpool,hope they can win the UCL this year.Klopp needs a UCL trophy after all the work he has done.
@glenbayern Ajax will win against Liverpool. One thing is the Klopp factor which means failure at the very last moment. The second is that Liverpool is an amazing emotional team who can do these sort of comebacks on their day - but as football players they are mediocre. Outside of Anfield they will simply loose the final to the team that plays better football.
@glenbayern No , we all want Ajax to win.
Undeserved MOTM. Wijnaldem was much better in the 1/2 match he played.
@JohnBenjamin i agree for winaldom.
No Salah, No Firminho.. No chance for Barca.
How is Messi better than Ronaldo?They both had a perfect 10 in Cl but will miss in the final.So let's call it a draw:5 ballon d'Or for each and 1 for Virgil van Dijk.
@alxdru Messi did not get many touches tonight but was effective when he did, he put Alba and Suarez in for one on ones against Alisson. Sadly, the fact he did not get many touches was down to his team.
@Mitchell. Actually no. The fact that Messi didn't get many touches was down to the opposition.
@alxdru Messi had way more than just one perfect 10 and Messi scored 12 goals unlike CR's only 6.
@GioMonaldo Lul a 10 against whom?? Hahaha chokes it again.
@GioMonaldo Barca played easier teams before Liverpool
@Lechiffre10 Juve played even easier teams than Barca. Nice try.
@GioMonaldo Don't think that matters now though, since they're both out....
@Lechiffre10 its weak tactics from our coach.
Barca didn't deserve nothing from two legs. Bravo Liverpool. Hope you don't bottle final again.
Is it not 2 assists for Trent?
@foogle94 Yep.
Alisson Becker must be some kind of bogey man for Barça. Last time he won the second leg with AS Roma, this time with Liverpool FC.
@BeautifulLoser Haha. True. Did he have many saves in that match for Roma? Haven't watched...
@Ivannnnn He made 7 saves in the first leg at Camp Nou (4:1 for Barça) and only 3 saves in the second leg in Rome (3:0 for AS Roma). Roma's defensive performance was superb. Particularly Manilas and De Rossi, who both scored own goals in the first leg, outdid themselves. Iniesta's last Champions League appearance by the way.
@Ivannnnn He had a few. Saved shots from Messi and Coutinho in the first half.
I think Barca should hire a brainless mannequin to be the manager. Oh nm they already have...
@MSN_ON_ACID Mourinho is licking his lips right about now... :D
messi you wasted that chance in the start of the game you tried to score a beautiful goal lol, tell me which one of liverpool's goals was beautiful except for Wjanaldum's header, exactly none but they were goals and got barca out
@BSN not sure if you watched on BT Sport but the commentators pointed out that the flag has indeed gone up, Busquets saw Albas run too late. In other words, it would have been disallowed.
Everytime barca need messi magic.. but after all he is a human. He has played well tonight compared to other Anyway all credits goes to Liverpool and Klopp
Klopp was the MVP. Putting in another #5, Wjanaldum, in for the 2nd half locked down the midfield and effectively won the game. The only surprise was the he was the one to score. Their forwards are mediocre (other than Mane), but the system completely annulled Barca's defense and midfield. They just didn't know what to do, forgot how to play. Suarez was waiting for a ball to his feet all game, and Messi was made irrelevant. Coutinho was always irrelevant. Even if Ajax win Klopp is still the best coach today, and Valverde will still get fired.
All Barca needed was scoring a single goal..A single goal!!!!? Messi took 5 shots and scored zero.
@jkkrs Payback for scoring more than they deserved in the first leg? :D
Very deserved victory for Liverpool, without Salah and Firmino and still won 4: 0, Barca was terrible, just like last year.
Why are so many idiots on this site ? Why so much hate, are their lifes so sh...y, that they can only focus on the negative ? There were 28 players out there tonight, of which 14 did a marvelous job. The other 14 sucked but of those 14 Messi was still the best but with no impact. The others were just so terrible, especially Alba but what a great will power by Liverpool !
@neumi17 Alba is responsible for the 2nd goal as well...
@neumi17 Messi's lack of impact was equally due to the work of those 14 as to the lack thereof for the other 13.
@Motorbreath lack of impact? Playing through your teammates for a 1v1 w/ the keeper 2* is not a lack of impact
I always said Barcelona is overrated. :) People thought I was joking. There's the truth AGAIN, when Messi doesn't play well this team can do nothing.
@Davisson people who don't watch La Liga regularly still think that this is the Barca of old, far from it. As for Messi, I thought he played well when he got the ball, sadly his team could not get him the ball. So many easy passes misplaced.
Then we should strip 4 ballon d ors from ronaldo he aint nothing without penalties
Worst player on the pitch Jordi Alba tonight ! EVERYTHING he did was wrong. He caused 3 goals and couldn`t produce anthing in offence at all ...
All Messi and Ronaldo fanboys and trolls please stay shut up. Messi was amazing in the first leg but apparently Barca thought they were through and the whole team failed. Liverpool were active and really took Barca by surprise. They never stopped trying despite playing a difficult match against Newcastle on weekend (meanwhile, Barca were able to rest their players). Very quick thinking by AA in the last goal, and Origi never took his eye from the ball despite casually walking towards the goal, just brilliant :D
Guys here there are many good chances to report some people , barca didnt go thrught but still kicking some guys out of site would be fun , keep youre site clean :)
@Salazarchokhof Good idea. Gonna report a few.
Origi and Wijnaldum. Who would have guessed?
@MrNemobody I think it was the match of the life for Origi. Never happens again.
@dib Nah, he does have a knack for goals, including important ones. I hope Klopp keeps him, all he needs is more regular game time and a bit of confidence and he can be a great player.
@MrNemobody I hoped Shaqiri would score. he's a man for great games. he helped his national team to come back from a 2-0 defeat againt Belgium and win 5-2.
@MrNemobody i said that origi should play since the first leg but i never pridicted Wijnaldum to do something
We should do the petition to stripped messi 5 Ballondor and gave it to Iniesta and Xavi. This guy aint nothing without both of them
@ProudUefaLona Dislike him all you want, but that statement is about as retarded as it can get. No matter how you swing it, Messi is one of the greatest players to ever step on a football pitch. And aside from Ronaldo, no currently active footballer comes close. And no, I'm no Barca or Messi fan, but great players are great players even when they score against your own team. Luckily that didn't happen tonight though. :)
@ProudUefaLona U do realise that he is still the front runner for 2019 ballon dor right?
@ProudUefaLona just like Ronaldo is nothing without modric benzema and bale
@Djey @ProudUefaLona shut up both of you are stupid
Liverpool are making history
After all the final he bottles and ballondor from 1-4 to 5-5. This is aint nothing. Congrats liverpool. Always remember theres always a chance if messi on the field your team gonna go to the next round
Looking forward to see the replay of the match as I was not able to see it live. Glad for Liverpool I'll be cheered for Spurs tomorrow, as I'm waiting for a whole English final. As a EPL fan; and also think English football overall has been progressed in good way, last WFC was a sampler.
@dib I'd love an all-English final, but let's be honest now... Tottenham are without some of their best players and Liverpool have already beaten them twice this season. I don't see them mustering the mental strength required to win a final. Ajax, on the other hand, may well prove to be a handful, as both Real and Juve have learned. I'd still fancy the Reds to win that game, but it would make for a much more entertaining final than if Spurs were in it.
Terrible night for Barca. Even with the double, it still won't be considered a good season when you lose this way
Messi bottlers again on big stages? Imagine my SHOCK
@ProudUefaLona imagine my shock when I see the same nolife nerd commenting here with his 15th account, and how did he choke? He scored 2 goals in the first leg not his fault barca defence is horrible
@Feeherii scored two in the first leg as well as setting up chances for Dembele, Alba and Suarez. He really was let down by his teammates tonight.
AND THEY DO IT AGAIN!!! YNWA!!!
Haha Jerzy Dudek was singing "You will never walk alone" in polish TV:D
@oczkusss Once a Red, always a Red. :)
@oczkusss Haha, post a video if you find it.
Liverpool, huge respect you guys, from the coach, players and team staff to the fans, huge respect for this never say die attitude
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha..Barcelona have choked in the Champions League yet again.this is hilarious.
@spectre08 Yes, history repeating for "the worlds best player" (not). Now they can try ones again to buy a champions league trophy by emptying other teams.
Liverpool dominated both games, Barca just got lucky the first time.
@Forcepain First half was much more even, Liverpool simply couldn't finish and Barca did. They made about equal chances. This one was all Liverpool though. Pathetic for Barca. Proof that 1 man can't save a team, it's a team sport after all.
Messi actually was the only half decent player on Barcelona's side tonight. It doesn't matter tho, Liverpool showed in both games they were the better side, Klopp is probably the best manager in the world, the backline didn't screw up, as they had done in previous CL games, and Origi (probably the worst player on the pitch tonight) had the game of his life. Looking foward for the final!
I'd say Vidal was also decent. Messi had a great first half and really made a lot of stuff happen. Suarez, Rakitic, Lenglet and Alba were rubbish.
@HPereira messi and vidal actually
@HPereira origi is good what are you talking about?
@BSN How many Liverpool games did you watch this year? Btw, i missed 2. Of all the games I saw Origi play this one was the better from a distance and I can say he's the worst player on Liverpool's squad (Not counting with 18/19 y/o players). I am still mad we didn't get Timo Werner on the Summer and each time I see him walking up to Klopp I facepalm cause he's usually useless. But he won us 3 points against Everton and this game so I won't complain abou him anymore xD
@HPereira I disagree. The worst player in Liverpool's squad is Alberto Moreno. But given that he has barely seen a ball in a competitive match this season, he gets a pass. The second-worst one is Sturridge. Sure, he has a left foot from hell when he gets the ball right, but what good is a forward who barely runs? When Klopp first took over Origi played a lot more and scored more goals than Sturridge, even when the latter was fit. He is way underrated, and had it not been for Klopp trying to make something out of Solanke, coupled with his disastrous season in Wolfsburg playing under different bosses with different playing ideas, he would've been a much better player today. Those two things surely sapped his confidence though. Let's hope for a resurgence!
@HPereira the only good player in barca tonight was vidal,the rest of barca players are just pussies that try to pass evry ball to messi so he can score and that how they wasted few good chances
@svetoslav Dude, you can be the biggest Ronaldo fan in the world but if you can't admit Messi played well, assuming he played 2 games against the better defense in the world and the best coach in the world, a tactical god, you are just blind. And I still can't understand how Vidal managed to end this game without being booked.
@HPereira Sorry m8 but tonight messi was just a shadow of the player he was a week ago and if you cant admit that its not rly my problem,Tactical god?Not realy as have have won nothing at liverpoll for 4 yeasr,lest just face it liverpoll are the first big team barca had to play in ucl this year and they belived its goin to be as easy as their utd game.Just like they underestimated roma last season. Its UCL not LAliga.
@svetoslav wtf, don't talk about what you don't know. Klopp is a freaking genius. He grabbed a terrible team and in 4 years got 2 CL finals. Btw, tell me 2 Liverpool starters you knew they were gonna be great 4 years ago. Messi didn't play that well on the first game, aside from the goals he didn't do nothing. At least this game you saw him making plays, making good passes and nice shots. Overall, if u take out the goals, I say Messi played this game better.
@HPereira Sorry m8 arguin whit plastics is pointles and you are plastc so cheers
The worst performance by Barca this season, and Ronaldo pathetic fans is back, where were you last week? loool :-D, don´t worry Messi will win Ballon d´Or, no doubt :-D
@JimmyHopkins lol say it again without crying now please
@JimmyHopkins have to agree they even looked more clueless then juventus vs ajax and that says alot
@JimmyHopkins Van Djik probably
@JimmyHopkins Sure. But a Champions League winner's medal he won't.
Can you help me to find a man in this site, a pep fan, bayern fan., ozil hater, gotze hater., in first leg vs barca he was commenting all around. Any guess❓
Sad to see so many trolls hating on Barcelona instead of giving credit to Liverpool. So many toxic posters on this site. Bring back the vote down button.
@MEHJones Couldn't agree more. Granted Barcelona didn't help their cause, but kicking them when they're down sure is a dick move.
@Motorbreath Yep. I almost feel sorry for trolls - rightious vitriolic posts are not made by happy people.
Sad for us barca fans. I knew its not over by a long shot...... Well desrved
@nceshNcero you needed to score one goal against liverpool reserve team!!!
cr7 fans are pathetic. making fun of messi when their beloved player didn't even reach the semis :) I actually have a great deal of respect for cr7, but his fans are really annoying kids. football is a team game, remember?
wtf happened here? got home to see this. good on liverpool. still hope ajax win the whole thing
Well deserved by liverpool. Well desrved. Great game
Serves Barcelona fans right. Showing off the non existent treble of this year's season. Barcelona once again victims of their own arrogance. A big shout out to TRENT he is a young player but plays like he has many years of experience. He is the next big thing mark my worss
This is ANFIELD!
FROM REALM MADRID WITH LOVE : HALAAAAA LIVERPOOOOOL!!!!
@alexandrion91 From Liverpool :p We crap on Madrid, jog on
@alexandrion91 MUIE REAL!
barca bottlers hahahahaha
why the spam stupid kid? we got your point so why the spam?
That was quite a feat!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA MESSSIIIII
Oh my world!!!!!!
Many congratulations Liverpool! Football again teaching the trolls and haters why you should avoid using words such as "always" and "never".
WOW, Liverpool made it like 2005
So now decent people have to start supporting Ajax or Spurs.
@iluveverton Or better yet: decent people should appreciate beautiful football when it's played. I'm no fan of Man City, seeing that they'll likely pip us to the title, but boy do they play a wonderful game! Be gracious in defeat and be gracious in victory. No one likes a sore loser.
@iluveverton It's ok honey. Hugs :p
@iluveverton Another bitter Blue - who's success depends on Liverpool's failure?
FROM REALM MADRID WITH LOVE : MUIE BARCA! HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
@alexandrion91 from third place to the champions you mean? sugi pula Madrid!
@GioMonaldo NO, from LOSER TO LOSER !!!! LOSER! HAHAHAHAHHA
@alexandrion91 @GioMonaldo You guys need to get a room. :D
hahahahahah
good, silly cheater Messi out :)
Where are the Flopessi fans at? Can't see a single one.
@campionesidd why are penaldo fans here tho? penaldo is in Quagliarella's shadow.
@campionesidd I'm here. Is there something more petty and childish than making fun of someone's name and insulting him with no reason at all?
UCL this season is mindblown, best I've seen so far.
Brittle Barca finally found out
Is it not the best FC Liverpool match in club's history...?
@oczkusss- Nope. Bob Paisley's team won 6 league titles, 3 European cups and 1 UEFA cup.
@SteveHyland but no FA Cup like Alan Shearer :)
Read that as team. Sorry. It's the drugs.
@oczkusss no the final vs milan is
@BSN Definitely more dramatic, given the circumstances. But I'd say this one's right up there. Along with the one against Dortmund three years ago. Which, considering the players on the pitch that night, makes the result even more impressive.
@BSN Yeah I remember that match very good, Dudek dance from 0-3 to 3-3. I am from Poland and Dudek is best known here for that match::)
@BSN true, but its def the 2nd best
Origi > Salah
@TetouanMorocco Nah... At least not yet anyway. But he definitely has what it takes to reach similar levels. He just needs to get his head straight.
Wow...
Damn.
I don't know why but I still feel lfc will be knocked out
@nekt adn then LFC scored 4th :DDD
very dangerous time for liverpool now. one goals wins it for Barcelona..............a desperately brittle Barcelona.
should be yellow for Messi for diving, not Matip
What a Liverpool side this is?
Back to back Allison is going to knocked Barca
great change of tactics by Klopp :) go for 5-0
Countinho is so uselesss
@nceshNcero Alba is more useless. Pathetic performance
@neumi17 what dd countinho do?. Albs was pressed hard. Its the pressing that made alba useless. Countinho dd nothinh in middfield. Cnt creat cnt scored. But wants to ply
@nceshNcero Feel free to send him back to Liverpool. If you ask nicely enough we'll even take him off your hands without charging you for it. :D
LMAO!! Bye Bye Messi
THIS! IS! AWESOME!
FFS Barcelona will you get it together?
@iluveverton ikr
Game on.
Barcelona needs ro stop being nice. This team is agrressive
@nceshNcero You mean Suarez nice?
Alisson is no Karius
@SirCharlesRichfield And no one is more painfully aware of that than Karius...
Mane could have easily gotten a penalty called. Kinda sucks that refs are so reluctant to penalize Barcelona. Had that been Messi, I'm pretty sure the ref would not have hesitated to call the penalty. UEFA really wants Barcelona in the final.
@Lechiffre10 did you see the free kick in the first leg? he fouled fabinho but instead of getting booked he got a freekick and fabinho got the booking, oh and he took the ball like 2 meters closer to the goal, still a good goal i won't deny that but it was a dirty one
@BSN No it wasn't it's clear obstruction from Fabinho.
@Lechiffre10 Don't be silly. I get tired of all the conspiracy theories. The ref calls it as he sees it. I't not as if Liverpool are some minnow from some minnow disregarded league. They are a mega brand club in their own right from by far the richest league and even if they were not the ref calls it as he sees it.
@iluveverton It's not a conspiracy theory it's a fact. Just like Suarez winning a penalty against Lyon for a slip and UEFA saying VAR didn't work at that moment.
Liverpool won’t score anymore , 1-0
@footballover change your name to TennisLover or KarateLover :D
@footballover You're a genius. LOL
@footballover The early home goal made the game interesting. As the minutes tick by in the second half if they don't get a second Liverpool will get increasingly desperate and vulnerable to counter attack.
Every first half Barca dribble by one player.....man they will miss him when he eventually goes.
does barcelona teach their players how to dive cause they're good at diving
@BSN pretty sure all spanish teams are good at diving
@BSN Madrid :D
@tuhin what?
wtf messi!!!
Where is Karius when you need him.........
Feet up after work ready hopefully to watch the undoubted Greatest Player of All Time do magic and 21 other blokes play football.
@iluveverton Let me rephrase that statement, "to watch the undoubted Bottler Player of All Time"
@iluveverton "undoubted". It's an opinion. A popular opinion, but still an opinion.
@iluveverton Yup, I'm sure Henderson will do the show
@iluveverton I'm also going to watch the Greatest Player Of All Time. He's playing on Sunday against Roma.
@uefalona isn't playing*
@uefalona Messi doesn't play against Roma on Sunday.
1-1
2-3
Barca needz to win. Velverde i hope your tactics work. This is the only competition liverpool hv control on. Barca hoprfull rested not loafed.
@nceshNcero Why does Barca need to win ??
@neumi17 now you why i said bqrcelona must win the game. Bcz liverpool was not settle for a draw. Not at all. Nvr.
5:1 and Liverpool heading to the final
@mynameisnotlouis Half time or full time ?
@neumi17 full time, of course :)
barca to go through
The only achievement of Liverpool is turning man united fans to Man city fans.
@nekt They also became best second place team of all times ...
under 3.5 goals
Liverpool would have a tough game even with Salah, Firmino and Keita. I think we all know how this will end. Rooting for Pool cause of last years fudge up by Karius in the final, which really settled the game. I felt so bad for them, as they would atleast had a chance otherwise. I hope some freak-accident or freak-randomness won't affect any of the remaining games. I need the best, most deserving and most entertaining team to win this year.
Klopp told interesting story to Liverpool players: "Dortmund on the brink of a stunning turnaround as they dominated Real Madrid in 2014". Dortmund won 2-0 (aggregate 2-3).
Klopp says he may start with teenager Rhian Brewster up front.
With salah and firmino out, I go with 1-1 draw simply because of ANFIELD history
I think this will be a brilliant game plenty of attacking action.
OVER 2.5 Goals
how is this even a liverpool win or a possible draw? easiest Barca win ever. 2+ margin
@Brandon96 u should work with this
@Brandon96 This must be a hard pill to swallow?
@Brandon96 Most people thought the same as you, so I don't mean to be a jerk. But what do you think now?
@Brandon96 bookmarked
No salah and firmino= low scoring 1-1 draw maybe 2-1 barca
0-7
@pasopati lol is 3 0 now
@pasopati 1-2
@pasopati or 0-11
@Gambino78 ridiculous, Barca won't score more than 9 goals, mark my words
Only now really realised how old the Barcelona team is. All the key players - Suarez, Messi, Busquets, Jordi Alba, Pique - 30 or older. Massive rebuild on there whatever happens in the cups this month. Huge challenge for Valverde over the next two to three years....assuming it is him in the hot seat.
@iluveverton The entire Barcelona squad is an inversion of CR7, that Portuguese moves and scores like a teenager on the field, and he's 34.
@iluveverton de Jong and matthis de ligt signing is for this problem they are looking for a striker this summer and also a left back already that leaves Messi and no body can't replace him
@Djey @iluveverton I think Messi and Busquets can still have at least 5 years left on top, cause their main traits dont suffer from getting old. Ofc Messi wont be as dominant at 35 years but he might drop into a more creative role.
@spino I'm looking forward to finally see Messi more creative ... just joking, totally agree :)
I'm looking forward to finally see Messi more creative ... just joking, totally agree :)
Barca is much stronger, still cheering for Liverpool!
Liverpool ia npt good because of salah only. But thier tactics. So they are still dangerous. Barca must not by any degree relax
a little Crazy Liverpool ODD is - 0 with Bacerlona ,that mean RED WILL WIN Obviosly?
@kokanchai don't over-trust the odds. Outcomes don't happen that way. Though I wish Red wins.
Cmon! Levelpool!!
It's time to finish off the loserfools once and for all. This is for Everton and United fans.
@CrazyBarcaFan00 Haha yeah i think your name fits you very well because you Barca fans are CRAZY
@CrazyBarcaFan00 Other teams failing is your joy? Your own team must really have let you down then....
@CrazyBarcaFan00 Couldn't agree more. Speaking as an embittered spite ridden bluebottle I hope king Lionel get a hat-trick. Forza Barca.
@iluveverton Errrr NO!
I have a question for you guys,what happended to the dislike button?I havent been active for the last 2 years on whoscored
@glenbayern It disappeared, like you
@groovy damn,they should bring back the dislike button
@groovy shit,pressed the wrong button,didnt mean to report you.
We can never rul out a comback. Barca needz to be really focused. Seriously focused
@nceshNcero The fact that Barcelona made an ass of it in Rome a year or so back means they are well warned. they will be 100% switched on. This is an ageing Barca with an historically important season only a couple of wins away....they will be spot on.This could be the last chance the Jordi Alba, Pique Busquets, Messi, Suarez axis has.
@iluveverton @iluveverton Sadly, Barca never learned. They choked again.
0-2 cruise
@eastend1 cruised straight out of CL
Sturridge v Pique what a mismatch :)
Liverpool will have to go all out attack but their fast counter attacking game will struggle without Firmino and Salah.Barca could score a few here.
1-4
@nexus747 1-5
Most probably Salah will not play also firmino , this will end with a draw or barca wins
if Barca score 1 goal , Liverpool Need 5 goals. is it possible?
@LeoAvi10 without firmino and Salah impossible but football is crazy u never know (Barca vs psg)
Definitely won't be a high-scoring game in Anfield should Barca turns to counter-attack mode. With Dembele out, Alba and S.Roberto are essential in wide area. 1-1 or 2-1, Barca will progress to Final.
Messi 5 goals to win 5 - 2
This match screams for a 3-1 with Barca scoring a crucial goal in the dying moments of the game a la Real - Juve of last season. It will be the Roma disaster all over again except with an orgasmic end for Barca fans.
@GioMonaldo only 2days of rest for Liverpool will be crucial, players are not robots. Barca rested all the team vs Celta
@GioMonaldo nice joke. I see Barca dominating and winning easily by a huge margin.
@CrazyBarcaFan00- You need an asylum. Barcelona didn't dominate at the Camp Nou and Liverpool only have themselves to blame for missing two excellent chances so the win margin provided a false narrative. Given this, I highly doubt Barcelona will dominate at Anfield unless Liverpool tactically sit back and try to hit Barca on the counter- something I've only seen them do a few times (and only ever at home to City).
Salah injured. Rotten luck as usual for LP.
Liverpool are 100% out. If Rondon and Atsu could score two goals against them Messi and Suarez will score six with this shaky defence.
@CrazyBarcaFan00 100%
@CrazyBarcaFan00 This comment didn't age well...
@CrazyBarcaFan00 Nope
@CrazyBarcaFan00 Now that's logic
@CrazyBarcaFan00 Suarez is a UCL flop, he might score with the gorgeous Sofia but he won't score any goals.
@GioMonaldo wait and see I smell a huge win including a Messi hatrick
@GioMonaldo He scored a wonderful goal in the 1st leg
Liverpool 1-5 Barcelona (Barca to progress 8-1 on aggregate) Messi to break Ronaldo's record of most goals in a UCL season (17 goals) in this game and the very easy final that awaits. Mark my word Barca will use every space left by Liverpool's players pushing forward the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Malcom will find it easy to score goals and assist Messi/Suarez late in the second half.
@CrazyBarcaFan00 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
@CrazyBarcaFan00 hahahahahahah no one will break ronaldo's record soon he's the absolute UCL king
@CrazyBarcaFan00 you sure are crazy. dembele is out btw
@BarcaPlsLetMeDown Sad news. Malcom can do it he is fast aswell. You will see how Liverpool willcrumble.
Liverpool will go all out here. If they can score two quick successive goals anything can happen.
@Lechiffre10 If they go all out they will surely concede easily Barca scores and creates goals from. nowhere imagine the spaces left by Liverpool defenders it will be like a suicide if they push their fullbacks high up the field especially if Dembele plays it will be a goal for every single attack for Barca
@CrazyBarcaFan00 Where ar the goals, lad?
barcelona will be more rested for this game since they already won the league. also they will be very motivated to not allow another roma incident to happen so I think barcelona will very likely go through. pretty obvious but many people will believe liverpool can comeback
@BarcaPlsLetMeDown and those people where correct in believing LFC was going to the final.
@BarcaPlsLetMeDown Barca finishing was great at home, but the game wasn't a wipeout like the result suggests. Betting odds say 11-1 which would make it just the 3rd most unlikely comeback this year. Can't really see it happening unless Barca performance drops a lot.
Cpuld be a 2-1 to liverlool. Even a 3-1 is possible. But this id gona be bery iintresting. How liverpool will play
Visca el Barça!
Draw, Liverpool 2-2 Barcelona.
Probably most interessting match of the season I must admit.
@stefanm Nothing is more interesting than El Clasico, especially an clasico in a KO competition.
