Brighton
West Ham
- Graham Potter celebrated his first competitive game in charge of Brighton with a surprise 3-0 win away to Watford.
- Florin Andone and summer signing Neal Maupay came off the bench and scored at Vicarage Road. They will both push for starts here after Glenn Murray failed to impress last weekend.
- Neither big money signings Leandro Trossard and Adam Webster got off the bench against Watford and may have to wait a big longer to get a full debut for the Seagulls.
- West Ham were hammered 5-0 by Manchester City in their first game of the season and Manuel Pellegrini may have to re-think a few things for the new season.
- Pellegrini fears club-record signing Sébastien Haller will miss Saturday's trip to Brighton through injury, while the West Ham manager is also sweating on injuries to captain Mark Noble and star winger Felipe Anderson.
- Noble missed the defeat to City with a calf injury, while Anderson picked up a knock in the heavy loss. Jack Wilshere has at least recovered from a dead leg sustained last weekend and is available here.
- Pablo Fornals will push for his full West Ham debut this weekend, while Robert Snodgrass will also hope to benefit from any rotation. Michail Antonio or Javier Hernandez will deputise in attack if Haller misses out.
