@stefanm ManU deserves a better Pogba. Like Magic Johnson, who was quoting JFK's inaugural address, said: Ask not what your teammates can do for you, ask what you can do for your teammates.
Saka's heat map compared to Pepe's is interesting. Shows that Saka worked a lot harder going back the way, though credit to Pepe that our goal came from his pressing.
Someone reported my comment about Pogba wanting to leave? Guess ManU fans are kind of nervous. I can assure you: with Mandzukic everything is going to change! xD
Ah, so this time McTominay is the young player Arsenal makes a star out of. Well, even if we're rubbish at football, at least we can be helpful in some way, and that's all that really counts, isn't it?
Solskjaer had 19 matches as Caretaker Manager and this will be his 19th as Manager at United (all competitions). If he looses this one, he will have exactly half as much PPM after they hired him (1.16) than before (2.32). I don't think he has much time left.
The booing of Xhaka needs to stop. The players and the coaches are behind him, so maybe it's time the supporters get behind him too. I think the people within the club would know more than us fans on the outside. It's one thing if you think he's not good enough, but he's an honest player and he always does his best. Some gooners are as entitled as the madridistas, but with much less reason. It's embarrassing. Enough now, stop abusing Xhaka. ***. Other than that, I'm fed up with dropping points to various iterations of sub-par Man United teams, can we for once just give these imposters a good spanking.
It's too early for Holding and Tierney to start imo. Our defence has been a disaster with Sokratis and Luiz accounting for 5 goals conceded but rushing them back would be imprudent. Along with captain calamity, 6 of our goals conceded have been down to individual mistakes. I don't want that trio in the team but we're stuck with a lack of options for now. The XI we'll play is likely to be the one that WhoScored have predicted. Utd have injuries, especially at the FB position and Lindelöf still looks suspect to me so we should create chances at least. I believe this will be a game full of errors but with Arsenal scraping a 2-1 win.
@Tyce12 Other than Maguire (Also over-rated in my opinion) United's available defence tonight is awful. I cannot see Arsenal not scoring to be honest, and personally I think Arsenals attack is far greater than United's therefore i'd predict 2-1 or 3-1 Arsenal win.
MU win. I know Arsenal is in a better form compared to MU, but their defense has been a huge problem nonetheless. 4 backs are slow and unstable. Xhaka and Guendouzi can't protect their 4 backs properly, and Emery should include Torreira in his line up. James and Greenwood will be more than enough to destroy the away team's defense with Pogba's help. Arsenal's only stronger side is the attacking side with Aubameyang showing off his deadly finishes, but him alone won't do much harm against MU's defense with lack of support from his teammates.
@Goonermikey- Yes they do. However, they also like him as a friend whereas the fans don't have that connection and emotions always affect difficult decisions. Paul Collingwood was kept in the England cricket team for years solely because he was "a good bloke in the changing room". You can't be sentimental in sport, it's a business not a charity, and if a player doesn't fulfill his primary job requirement (which Xhaka doesn't) then anything extra is pointless imo. The Australian cricket way makes more sense- pick your captain from your best XI. Aubameyang, Lacazette, Bellerín are all comfortably in that XI whereas Xhaka and Özil are not.
@Overmars- I think it was ridiculous to allow the players to choose the captain in the first place, irrespective of who was chosen. Emery is now in a position where Xhaka has to play when fit otherwise he undermines the player's choice.
@SteveHyland Whose idea was that, to allow the players to choose the captain? If it was Emery's idea, he should be resign and then go to third world country to promote democracy. If he want to democratize Arsenal, he should give true hardcore Arsenal fans to ballot for the captaincy. No players bigger than the club, no club would exist without the fans. Players come and go, true hardcore fans always stay.
@albgunn how come it's sokratis fault for Luis being a chelski spy , sokratis won all his challenges and if you tell me he was at fault for the goal you are terrible ,the midfielders should track back faster, someone should have been in front of mctominay blocking the path to the goal
@albgunn- It's too early for him to start two games in a row, even 6 days apart. It's imperative that Bellerín, Hokding and Tierney are handled correctly with our defence being so crap, the last thing we need is for one of those three to be rushed back through desperation and pick up another injury. There's always an increased risk of a different injury when coming back from a major one, the risk needs to be minimised.
Arsenal only struggle against pressing sides like Liverpool and City or Watford! lol Arsenal could win this game 4:0 or could lose 3 nil depending on how the inept Unai Emery sets up! Never trust this Arsenal side when they’ve gathered momentum only by beating the lesser sides! The draws and losses this season under Emery have all been gifts to the opponents. Having world class players like Aubumeyang, Lacazette, Ceballos, Ozil, Torreira etc and not being able to utilise them is just unacceptable to switch off during games because of emerys tactics! I’d think this game will be a draw even though United are awful we still haven’t won in Old Trafford in many years!
@albgunn
"The draws and losses"!! We've only lost one game...away at the European Champions. Perhaps your bias and lack of knowldge are clouding your assessment a little
@albgunn lol,stop hating Emery. Maybe there are world class players in Arsenal, but only attackers. Remember, your team starting centre back is David Luiz :) and also midfield is average maybe Torreira is good, but Ceballos is effective, but unproductive and Xhaka isn't the smartest player in the world :) Also when Lacazette gets injury, Emery must play with Nelson or other anonymous player from youth squad. IMO Arsenal squad is short and not so good as lot of Arsenal fans thinking. To be honest i don't know why Aubameyang came to Emirates.
@bojack Emery is responsible for 1- Europa League final where newbie Sarri outsmarted him. Secondly: Emery went a whole season without a win against the top 6! He never had a game plan. Doesn’t have a fixed formation. Rotates players all the time. Doesn’t play attractive football. Not a single player has improved under him! Did you watch Arsenal against Watford? I left my house because I couldn’t watch his tactics! Luiz btw is not Van Dyke but his presence is immense. He has won everything at club level by being first choice defender. I’m Arsenal through and through. I believe Emery will not get us top 4. Of Pep or Klopp had these players we’d be going for the title. Remember Klopp won CL with Henderson, Matip, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Trent Arnold etc. That’s the manager we need. A prime Wenger too!
@albgunn
Of Emery you say, "Not a single player has improved under him".
So you think, Willock, Guendouzi, Smith-Rowe, Saka, Holding, Chambers, Nelson, Martinelli are all no better than when Emery joined the club eh? I really don't belive you think things through before you come out with this stuff.
@albgunn Oezil a world class player? Do you ever think Oezil love to play football? Oezil can play 5hours fortnite, but he cannot play any modern football, when the team need to press the opponent high on their half. I believe this Oezil sickness is much worst than any Arsenal 90's players that had problem with alcohol.
I don't care if Oezil earn £350k/week (or even £1M/week) as long as Arsenal win the EPL or UEFA CL. Even if Oezil only play 1 minute each game. Henderson, matip, robertson, wijnaldum, TAA, all of them are pro football players who understand how much sacrifiice needed to play modern football.
Alexis Sanchez had a horrible season in Man Utd, but at least Conte want him in his Inter squad.
Pep, Klopp and many others never want this Oezil type of player. Man City and Liverpool can win the thropy(ies) because they always had 10 outfield players to attack and defend.
Even if Oezil willing to have a 95% wage cut, I dont think any Championship manager want to sign Oezil.
I can't understand why Arsenal struggle to beat Man Utd at Old Trafford. Even last season everyone was collecting points for fun there except us. Arsenal defense is probably the weakest in the Premier League unless he changes it completely. I'd go with Leno, Chambers, Holding, Luiz, Tierney- Guendozi, Torreira, Ceballos- Ozil, Aubameyang, Pepe. I don't know why Xhaka always play.
@Gooner09
It doesn't help knowing that every time you go to old trafford you're likley to get booked for breathing near an opponent. For years we were treated the most harshly by referees whilst Man U could kick us as much as they wanted. When you go into a game knowing that, it makes a big difference.
Man United 3 - 1 Arsenal Even though I'm an Arsenal fan and I know United don't have a striker, it's fair to say that Arsenal don't have a defence nor a coherent midfield. This tie has made Man United youngster's careers before. This could be a match for Andreas Pereira, Greenwood et al to step up and make a name for themselves.
Pogba deserves a better team.
@stefanm ManU deserves a better Pogba. Like Magic Johnson, who was quoting JFK's inaugural address, said: Ask not what your teammates can do for you, ask what you can do for your teammates.

Pepe is garbage
@Aereze No kidding.
Both teams were equally poor
@neumi17 Agree, bad result for both. 2 loosing sides
whoscored really need to do linesman/refereee error lead to goal
Someone reported my comment about Pogba wanting to leave? Guess ManU fans are kind of nervous. I can assure you: with Mandzukic everything is going to change! xD
Ah, so this time McTominay is the young player Arsenal makes a star out of. Well, even if we're rubbish at football, at least we can be helpful in some way, and that's all that really counts, isn't it?
Knw dat it will be goaless.... Jst dat i dnt bet.. but vri gud in analysis
@Vdike Thanks for the 'vri gud' analysis.
Jst didnt see a te winning...
Is going to be hard for arsenal but yet arsenal must take a point
Solskjaer had 19 matches as Caretaker Manager and this will be his 19th as Manager at United (all competitions). If he looses this one, he will have exactly half as much PPM after they hired him (1.16) than before (2.32). I don't think he has much time left.

@What4 Well he just caused a goal. And has been a dumpster fire since he was signed.
@What4 Shows the true colors of the fans for sure
It's too early for Holding and Tierney to start imo. Our defence has been a disaster with Sokratis and Luiz accounting for 5 goals conceded but rushing them back would be imprudent. am sure that arsenal will win the game by 5 goals to no
1X
Both teams have scored in four of the last five meetings between these sides.
@nexus747 Half of both the teams have been switched out since their last meeting though
United to loose
One nil to man united.. Arsenal has a week defence compared to man united. So my vote goes to united ...
OVER 2.5 Goals @1.75
2-2
1-2
X2
X2 + Mason Greenwood anytime to score
3-1
MU win. I know Arsenal is in a better form compared to MU, but their defense has been a huge problem nonetheless. 4 backs are slow and unstable. @NHJ As I've mentioned above. United do not have a strong defence tonight. I think things will go from bad to worse for United.
Man united 3-3 Arsenal
1-1 draw
also possible trick when Rashford had debut in injury hit Man utd vs Arsenal and they won:)
1-1
Xhaka has been named the permanent captain. Discuss...
@SteveHyland The players were balloted on who they wanted as the captain. I'm pretty sure they know the bloke better than the fans do.
@Goonermikey- Yes they do. However, they also like him as a friend whereas the fans don't have that connection and emotions always affect difficult decisions. Paul Collingwood was kept in the England cricket team for years solely because he was "a good bloke in the changing room". @SteveHyland Disaster-class Steve. You must see the decision that way too. I've never seen one player make so many errors that cost goals.
@Overmars- I think it was ridiculous to allow the players to choose the captain in the first place, irrespective of who was chosen. Emery is now in a position where Xhaka has to play when fit otherwise he undermines the player's choice.

Please start Holding instead of donkey Sokratis or the calamity Luiz.
@albgunn how come it's sokratis fault for Luis being a chelski spy , sokratis won all his challenges and if you tell me he was at fault for the goal you are terrible ,the midfielders should track back faster, someone should have been in front of mctominay blocking the path to the goal

@albgunn United press the hell out of teams under Ole, and will again this game.
@Aereze you missed the West Ham game I take it...
@albgunn Totally agree with you.
@albgunn lol,stop hating Emery. Maybe there are world class players in Arsenal, but only attackers. Hope Emery team will destroy this fake coach Ole. 0-3 hatrick by Aubabloodmeyang
