Team News

  • Mesut Ozil and Matteo Guendouzi have no future at Arsenal and will continue to be absent from the matchday squad.
  • Arsenal will continue to be without Bernd Leno, Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari, Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah here.
  • Bukayo Saka surprisingly only made the bench in Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Tottenham but will hope to return to the starting XI here, most likely at the expense of Nicolas Pepe.
  • As Arsenal are out of the race to finish in the top four, it remains to be seen what sort of side Mikel Arteta fields here given they face Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals three days later.
  • It could see one of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette drop to the bench against Liverpool.
  • Joel Matip and Jordan Henderson are out of Liverpool's remaining games this season.
  • James Milner is a doubt with a muscle injury, while Dejan Lovren may have already played his final game for the club.
  • Naby Keita and Trent Alexander-Arnold are expected to return to the starting XI at Anfield.
  • Jurgen Klopp has given some fringe players a chance in Liverpool's last few games but should name his best available XI on Wednesday.
  • Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will hope to replace Georginio Wijnaldum in midfield to face his former club.

  • This is the first meeting between the two sides since October when Liverpool eliminated Arsenal from the EFL Cup on penalties after a 5-5 draw in normal time. A repeat of that 10-goal thriller here is unlikely.
  • Arsenal lost Sunday's North London derby against Tottenham despite going 1-0 up. Now they face champions Liverpool before facing Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals this weekend. It could be a tough week for Mikel Arteta's side.
  • Liverpool have only won one of their last four away league games, failing to score in three of those, but are firm favourites heading into this fixture, even more so if Arsenal field a weakened side with one eye on this weekend's FA Cup semi-final.

  • Martinez with 8 saves has 7.7. What about if he was De Gia ot Allisson? I think he was the one who won 3 points for Gunners, not Lacazette ( who was excellent in taking his chances). 7.7 is very low score regarding Martinez show.

  • @sampo mate, his rating is based completely on stats, there is no bias involved

  • hooray!

  • Arsenal need upamecano, koulibaly, party And save ceballos and auba

  • There are people that will still call Liverpool frauds with 93 points...

  • @sarigginsUSA Around 13 of which were Christmas gifts from VAR.

  • @sarigginsUSA Not frauds, just not particularly memorable. Few people except for Reds fans will remember this season because they ultimately fell short of the record books in ugly fashion.

  • @HandofGod And as a Liverpool fan I agree mostly, but it’s remarkable how much more bitter these sorry fans are that we won a title... true football legends almost unanimously acknowledge that what Klopp has achieved with Liverpool is incredible given what he inherited... even former Utd players. Meanwhile many fans of even non-rival clubs make excuses of why our win is invalid... “Oh var, var!” “Everyone else is bad” “Null and void” - it’s infuriating when I know that the vast majority of our fan base after previous disappointing seasons said fair play to the victors and focused on improving.

  • Liverpool played badly for half of the season, the only difference now is that they haven't been as lucky as before.

  • hahahahahahahhahahaha

  • Pathetic showing by Liverpool, the magical season that wasn't. There's nothing left to play for so the boys may as well head to the beach for the rest of the summer already.

  • I'm just glad someone else is defending like a bunch of clowns this time. Good incisive play from Lacazette and Nelson for the goals.

  • @What4 No fault from Nelson to Virgil in the 1st goal? Seemed to me Nelson pushed him a little and then the Dutch lost the ball

  • @dib Van Dijk is pretty much dirty player and very often referees were ignoring his minor fouls, but still fouls have to say. If it was a foul on him this time, that was karma :)

  • @dib It was reviewed by VAR. Can't Van Dijk handle a guy half his size touching him on the arm?

  • Congrats to Chelsea for finishing at 3rd spot.

  • Stoppage goal coming to tie it

  • @HandofGod Hahaha.

  • @splint3r Yeah, didn't happen so now there's very little to look forward to in the last few matches of the season. I guess only the UCL/UEL race is particularly interesting as no one gives a tickle for rel survival. A crap ending to a crap season.

  • Where was the foul when Xhaka got a yellow?

  • A whole 2H to come but this certainly isn't the ideal situation for Liverpool.

  • I can't understand why we're so insistent on passing out from the back against a team like Liverpool. That's our favourite hill to die on, regardless of the manager.

  • @What4 You prefer that we kick the ball randomly and lose it immediately? Terrible football.

  • @Thypot Yes, either you play ut from the back or you kick it randomly, those are the only two possibilities.

  • No surprises, lazy defending from Arsenal, not properly tracking the runner going out wide.

  • 1-3

  • Arsenal has a mountain to climb.. Liverpool have an edge over arsenal defence

  • With clean sheet may be arsenal can win. Burnley and man city matches against liverpool will serve them as a blueprint tonight

  • @Rj141995 The last thing that will happen is an Arsenal clean sheet. In Klopps 10 games so far vs Arsenal, Liverpool have scored 31 goals

  • Arsenal win

  • both teams to score

  • "Five substitutes will be allowed next season, football lawmakers have announced following a meeting of the International Football Association Board" - What is happening to football? This is a terrible idea.

  • @idiot I agree. Gives the big clubs with bigger squads a huge advantage! 40 years ago we didn't have any subs and there were a lot more games

  • @idiot "Cooling breaks" were introduced to create space for advertisements. Just watch, it will happen.

  • Over 1.25 1st half

  • I will watch this match tonigt

  • @SagorSrkian Okay!

  • Liverpool win by 1

  • 1-2 or 2-3 FT

  • 2 -->Liverpool trying to reach 100 points

  • I don't care if Liverpool wins, but I hope this will be a loss for Arsenal.

  • 0-3

  • 1-2

  • Liverpool W/D. I'm not at all of the group that sees a walk in the park for Liverpool here. I think that, if they win, it will be hard fought and a very close contest. Yeah... Gunners haven't been playing all that well but they've basically got nothing to lose so they should come out cannons blazing. (pun intended)

  • 1-1

  • Over 2.5 Goals

  • How many can Liverpool score, even though they're on vacation already? That's the only doubt about this one.

  • @What4 salah and mane chasing golden boot. Youngsters will try to impress. And come on, its against arsenal.

  • @AironG Brudha .Put some respect to our name . Cant even beat the worst Arsenal squad and thinks they r the best epl side ever."its against arsenal". Haha . Salah went missing

  • @AironG That's what I was saying, perhaps not clearly enough.

  • Imagine Arsenal Helping City By stoping Liverpool from winning the record for most points I said Imagine So don't come when they lose by five or four

  • 0-5

  • 4-4
