Shouldn't the last Everton goal be allowed? The Everton player kicks/crosses the ball to the other side, Maguire intercepts it and changes completely the trajectory of the ball, sending it to his own net. When the ball changes the trajectory, isn't it considered the beginning of another play? I'll give an example: In last season's UCL match between Man City vs Spurs, when Eriksen passed the ball backwards, the balls is intercepted by the Man City player before getting to Agüero and then the referee disallows the goal for offside. The situation is very similar, but in one case it benefits the defence and in the other the attack. Is this offside rule like the handball rule, which always benefits the defence?
@MrNemobody Because Maguire didn’t purposefully play the ball, it’s still considered to be within the same phase of play, a deflection rather than an attempt to play the ball. As a result it isn’t the beginning of a new play
I watched the City one and like the goal disallowed today both were harsh decisions
Man United paying the refs again I see. How is Siggurdsson blocking De Geas line of sight when he's sat underneath the line of sight? Disgraceful decision
@Nico1- Both suffer from lack of competition. The mistakes made today were exactly the type that you get from players who are so comfortable in their position that they become complacent- knowing far well that they'll start next week.
I'm backing Fred to score again. The guy took his time to settle in the league, but his performances in the middle of the park this season have been admirable and worthy of praise; zealous and inexhaustible, week in, week out he has been there vying for every second ball in the field. The lad, at times, has also managed to find himself in some really good shooting positions just outside box, but often missing his shooting boots. In fact, him scoring goals in training was as consistent as him squandering good shooting opportunities in the game, that it had been a matter of joke in the United camp. But, the belief that Fred can fulfill his potential as a box-to-box player, who at times can score from in and around the box, has always been there. For instance, the vital last minute free-kick that Fred took over Mata against City in the EFL Cup was a gesture of faith; the lad had been consistently scoring in training and he just needed that one goal that would set his shooting straight.
@stefanm I am a football fan and football has no borders brother. I've watched every United game this season and my assessment of Fred isn't baseless, unlike your branding of him as a flop most probably without watching any game. We can go on and on about Man Utd, but please have the luxury of watching a couple of games before assessing a player, let alone call one a flop.
That moment didn't come against City or in any subsequent games until against Brugge. His second goal against Brugge was a proper midfielder goal. I believe that he has overcome his hurdle and will go on to bag a few goals every now and then. A goal can certainly do a lot to a player's confidence, especially when someone has been trying to score for as long as Fred has been. He now needs to improve on losing possession at areas which can lead the opposition catching us on the counter; he does seem prone to this error. I'm really rooting for this guy to be a complete box-to-box midfielder at United. Talking about the game, still wary about what might happen. I hope we manage to come home with 3 points. Fingers crossed.
What a beautiful day Poornited dropping points again

I hope that ref gets shot
Hahahhaha finally Utd failed again
De Gea needs to be sold
De Gea and Pickford are honestly 2 of the worst goalkeepers in the league!

Bruno to score, possibly 1-2.
2-2
@nexus747 I'll be shocked if Everton didn't win 4-2
Everton 1-0.
Attack vs Defense and Everton will look lucky but earn a 1-1 draw
@Futbol101 No, Everton have been good under Ancelloti, unless you mean Man United will be defending for 90 minutes, which I can see happening.
I hope Everton wins this , cant tolerate united fans praising portuguese pogba anymore

@atalpandey7 u must be Brazilian mate, arent u?=DDD I havent seen anyone for 2 years praising that flop Fred here
@stefanm Fred? A flop? He’s turned into one of our most loved players around the fanbase for a reason, you can’t be a United fan can you?
