Team News

Arsenal
Norwich
  • David Luiz returned from suspension in Sunday's FA Cup victory over Sheffield United but was then forced off with injury and is a serious doubt for their midweek game with Norwich.
  • Granit Xhaka returned from injury far quicker than expected last week to boost Arsenal's midfield options for their remaining matches.
  • Matteo Guendouzi faces an uncertain future under Mikel Arteta and his availability remains a doubt on Wednesday.
  • Cedric Soares started full training over the weekend and is closing in on his first Arsenal appearance since joining the club in January, though he is unlikely to start anytime soon.
  • Mesut Ozil is also a doubt for the home side due to a back injury. Lucas Torreira, meanwhile, is close to returning.
  • Arsenal have used a 3-4-3 formation in their last two matches and may well continue with their formation here.
  • Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette compete for one place up front.
  • Norwich will be without Grant Hanley, Sam Byram and Christoph Zimmermann on Wednesday evening.
  • Marco Stiepermann was fit enough to make the bench against Manchester United on Saturday.
  • Timm Klose is suspended for a straight red card in Saturday's FA Cup defeat to United and will need replacing at centre-back here.
  • With Hanley and Zimmermann both unavailable, Alexander Tettey may have to drop back into defence.

Prediction

  • Arsenal have won two on the bounce since resuming the campaign with successive defeats. The Gunners beat Southampton 2-0 away from home in the league last week and progressed to the last four of the FA Cup over the weekend.
  • Norwich, meanwhile, have lost their first three games of 'Project Restart' and were defeated by Manchester United in extra-time of their FA Cup quarter-final on Saturday. Despite such a poor start, they are still only six points adrift of safety but are quickly running out of time to save their Premier League status.

  • How does Lacazette earn a 7.0, he's always a waster

  • @Gasperini He made three tackles and won 2 aerial duels. He may not be scoring, but he was key in high pressing. Maybe like Firminho but with his team producing less chances...

  • If Auba leaves Arsenal they will be relegated to Championship next year

  • Granted, it's Norwich at home, and two of the goals were gifts, but it looks like the tactics are starting to gel.

  • This isn't funny anymore; I haven't had AFTV for 2 weeks, I need my fix now. Arteta OUT!

  • @MathCatsFootball Yeah cause AFTV is sooo good lol.

  • Up arsenal

  • Arsenal to WIN and OVER 2.5 Goals @ 2.05 odds

  • Go Team Pukki!

  • Arsenal should win this one

  • After watching United game - Cantwell is either too good for Norwich teammates or he is on another level given shape after the break. His passes against United were top-notch, but teammates were too slow in the brain or body to capitalize.

  • 3-0
